"Ed, you don't have to find another doctor when you are so busy. The doctors here are doing their job. Let's just be a bit more patient," Loreen did not give him a direct reply immediately.
Edric asked again until Loreen gave her the dates.
"The dates are…" Loreen gave him the ones from the first year of their marriage. "Please don't overwork yourself and come back soon."
Edric was horrified as Loreen lied to him with a smile on her face. She even quickly directed the topic to something else.
He never thought she could do that. He thought she would look guilty or bothered for lying to him about something so important.
