Chapter 2 - A Wish To Live Forever

"Oh, I'm really sorry."

Tian Yongheng says apologetically as he looks at the person who bumped into him.

"Oh, it's alright!."

The ordinary looking Young Man hurriedly says as he rushes into his class, but at this moment, he's abruptly stopped by one of the people standing beside Tian Yongheng.

"Don't you have eyes? Can't you see that Brother Tian is walking by here?"

The ordinary looking Young Man is surprised at first, but then his eyes show fear as he's about to bow down to apologize.

At this moment, Tian Yongheng's eyes narrow slightly as he stops the ordinary looking Young Man from bowing down.

He looks at the person who stopped the ordinary looking Young Man coldly.

"There's no need to go this far, and it was my fault I bumped into him. I apologized, and he accepted my apology. The matter is over now, you shouldn't push it too far."

Everyone around them subconsciously take a few steps back.

It was obvious that the person who stopped the ordinary looking Young Man was trying to curry favor with Tian Yongheng. He hurriedly looked down and apologized to the ordinary looking Young Man first and then to Tian Yongheng.

*Ring*

The bell rings at this time, and everybody present hurriedly rushes back to their classes, including the ordinary looking Young Man after he thanks Tian Yongheng and also Tian Yongheng's group of people.

The Young man with the surname Hong stares at the person who blocked the ordinary looking Young Man from before coldly and snorts coldly.

All the people beside him except for Tian Yongheng shivers in fear.

After a few hours as the class ends, Tian Yongheng calls out to the Young Man surnamed Hong.

"Brother Hong Wen, I'm really sorry but I won't be able to hang out with you all today. I have to go somewhere with my family."

Hong Wen nods in understanding.

"It's a pity then, Brother Tian Yongheng. Let's meet again tomorrow at your Birthday then."

Tian Yongheng smiles faintly as he leaves the classroom and walks in the hallway.

'I'm really tired of all this bullshit. Except for Hong Wen, all the people around me are either there for my money, my background or my influence. It's so superficial.'

He thinks as he gets to his car and sees his younger sister, Tian Qi'er, walking towards him.

They both get in the car and Tian Yongheng drives straight to the mountain at the backside of the city.

Their parents told them that they should directly come there instead of going home, they'll meet up there.

As they reach the top of the mountain through the car, they see a small temple built on it. They also see their parents and a Priest talking.

Tian Yongheng parks the car right there and he alongside his little sister walks out.

They first bow to the Priest, and then walk towards the temple.

However, both of them are stunned to see that there was no diety statue or anything of the kind in the temple.

They turned to look at the old Priest in shock.

The Priest looked to be in his 70's, with long beard and long white hair.

He smiled at them and said.

"Children, you don't need to be so shocked. There is indeed no one you pray to here, instead, you can write a wish here in a paper and hang it on the entrance of the temple.

This temple may not have any diety, but any person who hung their wish here had it fulfilled.

It shows how great the luck of this place is."

Tian Qi'er didn't believe in superficial things such as 'Luck'.

However, Tian Yongheng did.

Even though Tian Qi'er didn't believe it, she still wrote her wish and hung it on the entrance of the temple, and so did their parents.

At last, it was Tian Yongheng's turn. He also wrote his wish and hung it.

However, at this moment, the Priest looked at his wish and shook his head slightly.

"Child, your wish should be related to you, not your family. Wish for what you want, not what your family wants."

He looked at the paper hanging in the entrance of the temple with words written on it.

'Prosperity for my family.'

Tian Yongheng's parents and younger sister weren't surprised by this, and they also nodded at the Priest's words.

Soon, they left Tian Yongheng who was deep in thought.

Then suddenly, he picked up a piece of paper and wrote on it, hanging it on the entrance of the temple and bowing slightly to the Priest before leaving and going to his car.

Soon, the Tian Family left the mountain range.

When the Priest's eyes landed on what was written as his wish, he widened his eyes in shock and didn't say anything for a long time.

There was a single word written on the paper.

'Immortality.'
