Annie continued. "Planet won't be without overlord for long, it will do everything in its power to get so the bloodshed you mentioned will happen sooner or later. "
"I understand. So, why did you pick us?" I asked.
"To be precise I picked you!" She pointed at me. "You have prismatic level of rarity class on tier one. That's very rare. You have one of the most powerful traits one can have, and only way to get it is on the awakening kill. If you kill something you have no business fighting. And yesterday you soloed ghoul that had already had tier 2 class. That thing may be slow but it hits like a fucking truck and its skin is very thick. You should have no real way to cause damage to it. And as bonus you have two girls with good red classes with you as a bonus to already robust package. The only reason you were not contacted until now is your obvious lack of ambition to conquer because before me the two that were picking wanted overlord. You are very good catch, but you are not better than a whole planet if you catch my drift. First two were looking for best conqueror, I was looking for best comrade. And I found top notch catch, packaged with two very good catches. What's not to love? I don't mean to insult you girls, if you weren't involved with him, it is quite likely that you would have been contacted in later rounds yourself, but since you are his girlfriends as long you don't specify you are not joining him you are counted as part of his entourage."
Brook spoke. "Good there is no way I am splitting from him."
Karla added. "What she said!" And pointed to Brook.
Annie chuckled and looked at me. "So, what you say? Do you want to join my group? If you join, I will leave you way to contact me and I will give you advice on anything you might need. And once you reach tier 4 class I will come and will personally pick you up with your families and transfer you to our home planet. Your families won't have to move a finger for the rest of their lives and you three will be given all the required means to realize your potential, while I will continue to be your guide and advisor."
"Do all the new recruits get this good of an offer?" I asked.
Annie shook her head and giggled. "Nope, I had to request special permissions for you. You are very very rare specimen with two rare specimens as a bonus. Normal offer would be teleporting you with entourage and you would get a small house to crash in. Your families would have to find work in order to survive and so on. What you are getting is premium deal."
"What am I expected to do?" I asked.
"Outside of realizing your potential and openly aligning yourself with our group you have two choices. One of equivalent of what would you call soldier, and second is equivalent of what would you call in your novels adventurer."
"I am not interested in being soldier so talk to me about the other option please." I spoke.
"We have places dedicated to placing request for all tiers of classes that involve traveling to other planets, fighting monsters there. Gathering stuff. Handling bandits. Just think of novels that you have here about adventurers, exclude all the demon lord crap that is usually there and add space into it and you have pretty much what you would be doing."
"I feel like novel protagonist. So, my choices are to fight for survivor here or become a rich adventurer, right?" I asked.
"Pretty much. One more thing if you are thinking about refusing the offer and hoping that you would milk more from other factions it is a bad plan. If you refuse the request you will be removed from scouting pool for 20 years in order to prevent that. Not that I think you were planning to do that, but I have to tell you that." Annie spoke.
"That didn't even cross my mind." I spoke truthfully. Then I turned to girls. "So, what do you think, are we novel protags in adventure novel or survival novel?" I asked while I chuckled.
Girls chuckled when they heard my question and spoke. "Adventure novel sounds good." Karla spoke. "But I hope you don't want to make harem novel!"
Brook spoke after that. "Exactly my thoughts."
"I think just by the virtue of having you two it would be harem novel but I get what you are trying to say. No, I don't plan to pick up girl on every adventure or something like that. I am more than happy just having you two." I turned to back to Annie just to see her giggling from our discussion. "You heard them, we will be accepting your offer."
Annie nodded with a huge smile. "Perfect, I am sending to your system the contract. Just click accept and it will take care of other stuff."
After a moment I hear notification in my head. I checked and indeed there was a contract to accept. I read through it and it was saying exactly what Annie already told to us. I accepted it.
Similar light to the one that enveloped Annie before now enveloped me and after a few seconds I got few more notifications about successfully becoming part of the group Wishing star and so on and Annie being personal aide and so on.
"OK so this is done. Here is communication device. By pressing this button and speaking to it you can contact me any time. I will answer any of your question to the best of my ability."
"Out of curiosity. Where are the potential overlords the first two picked?"
"One is in China and second in western Europe." Annie spoke.
"So, I won't meet them, at least not any time soon. Good. They can happily duke it out without me!"
