The next morning during breakfast, Almaria and Lady Deonisia were the first to arrive at the dining. They did this because they wanted to see Kitanna serve them.
Larel sat at the other end of the table. If not for the fact that she had to eat with the royal family every morning, she wouldn't be at the same table with them. She used her makeup to cover the side of her cheeks which was still swollen, but the eye bags under her eyes were still evident, making her look pale and sick.
Khelan stepped into the dining room, his eyes trailed to where Larel was briefly before he looked away. He walked straight to his mother and bowed in greeting.
Larel also stood up as soon as the king walked in and she bowed before sitting back on her seat.
"It seems like the queen had little sleep last night." Almaria's words caused Larel to let out a small laugh, but she didn't respond to it.
