Arriving home after a long day, he was greeted by the attentive servants who promptly inquired, "Would you care for a drink?"
"No, thank you. I am quite hungry though," he replied.
They nodded in unison, and one of them inquired, "Is there anything specific you'd like to eat?"
"Anything will suffice," he answered.
They headed to the kitchen and set about preparing a meal for Lucian. Meanwhile, he settled into the living room, reaching for a smoke.
"Where have they gone?" he inquired.
"They left for dinner about an hour ago," came the response.
As the aroma of freshly prepared food filled the air, Lucian eagerly dug in, savoring each bite. Satisfied, he retired to his room, his mind deep in contemplation.
