"Why? Are you scared?" She said tauntingly.
Kira just looked at her with a threatening glare.
"Sir, I will like to pair up with her" Layla said to the teacher bringing his attention to them.
The teacher agreed and announced to the rest to get their partners.
When everyone had picked their partners. Kira and Layla stood in the center of the class.
The rest were looking at them with so much interest. In their minds they were with the thoughts of Kira loosing to the best female fighter in the school, it was natural for them to think so because no one had actually seen Kira in action before.
They both stood in their positions taking the best stance to begin their spar with.
Kira noted all of Layla's position and had already made up her mind that she wasn't going to fight too well since she didn't want the extra attention from the others but she wasn't going to lose either.
The fight started, yeah the fight started; even if it was just a little spar, they both took it seriously and were determined to win.
Layla held Kira's hand locking her legs and trying to throw her over her back but Kira stood firmly and unmoving like a boulder.
"Layla c'mon!"
"Punch her!"
"Yeah! That's it kick her in the guts!"
"Layla! Layla! Layla! Layla!"
Cheers for Layla erupted in the class, almost all the students there were fans of her and only a few remained neutral. The teacher was amazed by how well they both were fighting with no one taking the lead, it was a draw between them, no one except Ryan whose attention was focused on her moves could see through her deceit of pulling back whenever she had the chance to strike hard and come out as the winner. After a while and exchanges of few more moves, the timer stopped and they had to break up, they returned back with no one coming out as the winner. Layla was angered and looked at Kira with more viciousness while the students were stunned, their Queen Layla couldn't win against a nobody, it was a shock to them. Although Kira tried to avoid being the attention of many, she failed miserably. The rest of the day in school went with her being stared at to the point of insanity by a lot of people, it was hard for her being someone with anger management. She couldn't even tell how she managed through all those inquiring gazes until school was over, she ran out of the school as if being chased down and hunted.
IN THE CAFE
Kira wore her apron and went to take in orders. Her mind going back to how things went on with the spar with that huntress, Kira became upset with herself thinking she actually let a hunter slip from her fingers in a fight, she couldn't help but think she should have ended that huntress. Unfortunately she couldn't, she knew very well that at that time, it wouldn't do her any good if she followed her heart.
She decided to think about which hunter on her list to get rid of first, that would calm her down instead of continuing to dwell on what was gone. Hunting and eradicating those evils which plagued the earth would be better, all hunters must die!
She had a satisfying smirk knowing which hunter in her memory was going to be selected.
Work ended with no troubles. She left the cafe to her apartment. She walked to a board that was in her room. She picked up a pen and drew an ex mark on a picture.
She had long wanted to kill him but she was a little preoccupied and with all those eyes observing and scurrying for the La Loba, she had to plan everything well as she couldn't afford mistakes.
....
In the forest a group of people with weapons entered the forest at the same time. It was clear they came with evil intentions. There was a man with a scar across his left eye who was the leading man of the group. If anyone saw him they will recognize him as Griffin a top rank five hunter on the hunter's platform. He was known for being ruthless and not leaving his preys with intact bodies.
"Remember to kill any werewolf on sight, I need to raise my fame more. That little boy who just came not long ago is already taking away all of my glory" He said with vicious glint in his eyes and spat.
Kira stood on the tree observing quietly and lurking around in wait, their every move under her surveillance. She wasn't taking action any soon because she wanted to see what their main intention was.
They walked deeper into the forest going rampant, their main purpose been to capture all the supernatural beings on sight and kill them.
Naturally Kira never cared about other supernatural beings as long as it wasn't her wolf pack that was targeted, but he was a prey she had set eyes on, so definitely she wouldn't have him slip through her fingers. If her actions unexpectedly saves the lives of those supernatural beings being preyed on by them, then it was their luck and not her going out of her way and becoming their knight in shining armor.
She brought out her dagger and the moonlight shone on it reflecting the cruel expression on her gorgeous looking face. She could just bring out her claws but she would be disgusted if stained with their disgusting blood, she couldn't stand the stench of their blood. And she doesn't shift into her wolf form if not necessary.
She quietly and closely followed them waiting for an opportunity to strike. They walked deeper and deeper into the forest until they suddenly came across a werewolf. Cheers erupted from them as if being presented with a trophy.
They abruptly came to a stop and readied their weapons. Griffin quickly brought out his shot gun and aimed at the werewolf standing, wolf hair showing on his body with blue glowing eyes and canines extracted, claws out and he was slightly bent. No one knew what he was thinking as he watched them in vigilance and alerted, whether he bent ready to attack or escape couldn't be seen on his human-wolf like face covered in fur, his tail extracted and dangling behind.
Kira stopped and kept on watching with great interest. Griffin suddenly fired the gun but the werewolf couldn't dodge in time and was hit.
The young werewolf fell to the ground and howled in pain. Griffin had a smirk on his face and ordered his men to go and capture the wolf.
Kira following behind on the tree all this while finally made a move. A quick light flashed and the two people who moved to capture the wolf fell to the ground with their throats slit. It was a split of seconds, the only thing they caught sight of was a mirage of the attacker.
Kira was so fast and slick that no one caught a glimpse of her. Griffin looked at the lifeless bodies of his companions with cold face. He quickly turned around with extra vigilance and checked his surrounding full of alertness. As if a sudden realization he thought of one person with very good hunting and concealing skills who could accomplish such feat.
"The La Loba!" He said through gritted teeth.
The rest of his companions who just saw what happened where scared to their bones.
Kira smiled when she saw their frightened expressions, such looks of fear of the unknown was what she enjoyed seeing most when hunting. She positioned herself for another move.
Griffin noticed the expressions on the faces of his companions. "You idiots, just don't stand there like scared chicks waiting for slaughter. Get into your positions and prepare to fire!" He barked an order at them.
Immediately he said that they all brought out their guns preparing to fire at any movement heard.
Kira mocked and snorted at their clumsiness. She scanned all of them. The scared faces filled her with excitements and her blood boiling. She quickly moved taking two more lives with her again, breaking their psychological barriers rendering them incapable of thinking straight.
The new hunters who haven't encountered this before were all petrified out of their minds wondering where such unknown supernatural being had emerged from. Or was it a new species unheard of?
They were all shivering frightened not daring to think who was next among them, the silent killings and leaving only mirage, it was as if the insects of the night had sensed the terrifying being and had gone into hiding. They so much wanted to leave the forest this very minute and go back because they didn't come which the intention of provoking such a being who kills in the silence in the dead night, they just came to kill some weak werewolves and nothing more.
Kira was on the tree with a bloody dagger with blood dripping from it and observing her targets more in dismay.
Griffin knew staying there was hopeless at the moment and he immediately ordered his men to retreat back, they had to leave the forest immediately!
Kira who heard what he said smirked. Would she allow her preys to slip away before the fun ends? Naturally, no! She had this look which says I have yet to enjoy myself so where do you think you are all going to?
Kira moved again but this time she didn't stopped she kept on with the killings as silent as the night, blood splashing everywhere and bodies fell reducing the numbers in seconds but still they failed to catch a sight of her. She was like a shadow in the dead night where there was no light, unseen and silently passing. When they turned their backs to look they only saw darkness with little moonlight.
Griffin kept on watching as his companions kept on falling to the ground. But he was helpless to do anything.
"Fuck" He cursed, stopping in his tracks he began firing his gun everywhere indiscriminately. He crazily fired his gun without caution of killing his companions.
Kira smirked as she saw the condition he was in, fear already taken over his judgment. She didn't want to waste anymore more time with them in such state, it was boring and not exciting anymore. She quickly finished them leaving Griffin standing alone surrounded by the bodies of his dead comrades.
Kira stood and looked at Griffin who was in disbelieve and burning with hatred and anger. His face blackened and his expression heavy.
Kira immediately dashed towards him as lighting, he continued shooting with nowhere in mind just shooting all his surroundings and anywhere his attacker might be.
Before he could realize, warm liquid flowed down his neck as he felt it wetting his shirt and making it sticky. His life leaving him in a fleeting moment, he trembled and fell to the ground with his eyes wide opened and died without still seeing his attacker.
