Chapter 12 - Ch. 12

Kira didn't reply, he was about to flare up when Celine got between them.

"Sorry sir, your order will be brought right away" She said in a calm manner; bowing down. She dragged Kira along when she left the table.

"Kira what happened out there" She asked but Kira didn't reply her.

She sighed "take some break" She said patting Kira on the shoulders.

Immediately Celine left, Kira lifted her eyes which had turned bloody red.

....

In the dark alley, the street light flickered and five men where happily chatting while they walked. A dark red orb could be seen monitoring all their movements.

One of the men stopped walking and looked behind him. "It looks like we have company" He said and the others stopped.

Kira who was hiding behind a wall, knowing that they had figured out that she was following them came out from her hiding place.

"Oh, it's just a little kid" One of them said and they all laughed heartily.

Kira smirked as she saw them laughing and not taking her seriously.

A loud scream was heard and they stopped laughing and turned to the direction of the sound.

They saw Kira holding a lifeless body by the neck and bloody knife in hand. They were filled with shocked expressions watching Kira throw the body in front of them.

"Wipe off those dumbfounded looks from your faces, y'all seemed to be filled with excitements when talking about what happened ten years ago and now, what? You're all scared by this little action?"

She said taking slow and unhurried steps towards them.

"You just need to obediently answer to my questions; Who is your boss?"

"Hah! Kid ya better think who you're messing with, I hope ya ain't gonna regret your actions now and go cry to daddy." The eldest amongst them coming back to his senses looked at her with dangerous burning gaze.

Kira ignored him and repeated her question again, her voice sounding impatient. "Tell me who you work for!"

"Ya think I'll tell a brat that because you asked nicely?" he spat.

"Hmm, who said I needed the answer from you?" She said walking to his side.

"It looks like you're next in line for the free rollercoaster ride to the underworld." She grin slashing his throat before he had time to react, a feeling of enjoyment swept over her.

"Who else has anything to say about this little kid?" She asked with a blooming smile, the face which should be described gorgeous now looked very ferocious, they swallowed the lumps in their throats intending to hide the words of dissatisfactions and never let those words see the light.

"Looks like we are in an agreeable term, so who is your boss?" She asked again, they fought hard with their fears of not wanting to die in the hands of the two evil beings in their hearts, one was their boss without compassion and the other was this kid who looked harmless at a glance but was more like the incarnation of the devil. Facing the devil's incarnation they decided to give up their boss in a heartbeat.

"See it wasn't that hard, was it?" She asked looking at them with a sweet smile, instead of relaxing now they shivered more from the creepy chilliness in their spines.

"Now that I have gotten the information I want, I don't need you anymore." She said looking at her bloody dagger, the moonlight light reflected on it and adding to her ferocious face; making the men present feel the loud hammering sound of their hearts against their chests, knowing that their premonitions of her not leaving them alive were true they were petrified on spot. It would be a joke for other hunters to see them in such states of being terrified by a kid, but only them who are facing the kid knew what it feels to be in her presence.

Kira left the alley with blood everywhere and the strong smell of blood in the air.

She walked in silence with no destination in mind, like person whose soul had left her body she walked aimlessly, unconsciously her feet took her to familiar place.

After sometime she stopped walking and she looked up and saw the familiar and unfamiliar gate which was burned and was almost unrecognizable. Ten years had passed and it had rusted and covered in dust. She couldn't help but laugh in self loath when she saw it.

'I have really been a coward, I have been scared to come here after all this years' She thought taking slow steps towards the gate.

She was trembling, her breath was uneven, this place brought memories good and bad which she had forever wanted to burry deep down. The place which used to be lively and full of life was now deserted and silent.

She looked at ruins that the place had become. She stopped walking when she got to were her home used to be. A big mansion decorated with flowers was not what met her but instead an empty vast of land with debris.

She knelt down, as if she could still see her mom falling from the silver bullet when it was fired and the fire which blazed the entire pack.

Her tears threatening to fall from her eyes, she quickly blinked them back not wanting to shed anymore tears.

"I promise to make all of them pay, I'm not going to rest until they are all dead. I will avenge everyone, just wait for me for a little longer....soon enough!" as if reciting a pledge her hand formed a fist.

In a dark room, a man was seen kneeling in front of an older man who was sitting on a chair in a relaxed way.

"Didn't you say they will be here soon? So what's keeping them?" The man on the chair asked in malicious tone. The man kneeling trembled with fear.

"Answer me when I ask you a fucking question!" He shouted on top of his voice demanding an answer from the man kneeling.

"I..i'm sorry....boss, th...they will be here soon.." He stuttered answering not daring to lift up his head to face the older man.

After some minutes passed, the older man couldn't wait anymore and was full of impatience, he sent his men to go and look for the cowards wasting his time.

His men quickly left to carryout his order. They came back after sometime empty handed, the leader walked up to the older man with a complicated look on his face, "all dead!" he reported.

The man kneeling was shocked, he couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Hmm, that's interesting, what did you find out from the situation?" the older man asked and was unbothered by the death of those goons. The leader of the guards relayed everything about the situation in which they found those dead guys to him in details.

"By the looks of things it seems we got there not long after they were killed, judging from the wounds there was no struggle, I believe it's the work of a professional. No trace were left and they were in a disadvantage situation because they had no weapons on them." the leader reported.

"It seems that we have ran into an interesting person." the older man said with a malicious grin seeming to find it interesting.

"I will give you another chance; find out who the person was and bring them to me alive." He said to the man Kneeling in a lazy tone, as if wanting to grab hold the chance of his survival he thanked the older man and promised to do a better job and not disappoint him.

The older man turned a deaf ear to him and left with his men, the man kneeling raised up his head and brought himself to sit on the dirty floor with a sigh, he was no other than Elvin Hayes. Who was a rank 4 and a well known hunter.

In the wild Kira stood alone staring at the moon, her hair danced along with the night breeze and there was this satisfying and determined look on her face.

She felt as if some burden which had been weighing on her chest long enough had been lifted. She kept on thinking on how she will continue to exert her revenge.

Her mind kept wandering around with the exhilarating thoughts of revenge that she failed to notice when it had began to rain. When she came to realized it, she was long drenched in the rain and the chilliness of the rain water had already gotten to her bones.

She tsked and pushed away the wet hair which was stuck on her face and blocking her sights. There was a heavy thunderstorm and it continued to rain down more as if it sensed her pain and sadness and wanted to wash it all away for her.

She got home, and quickly discard her wet clothes, walked straight to the bathroom and closed the door.

The sound of water could be heard behind the bathroom door and after sometime the water stopped, she came out wearing a bathrobe and the steam of the hot bath still lingering on her body and a towel over her wet hair. She walked to her wardrobe while drying her hair. She wore her pajamas and walked to her balcony.

The rain had just stopped not long ago and the fresh smell of the rain was still lingering in the air, taking in a deep breath as if trying to take a bite at the smell, it was somehow refreshing and she liked it. She closed her eyes and took a few more deep breath savoring the taste in the air.

A smile bloom on her face looking like chrysanthemum, she felt very relaxed and lightweight as if she was drunk.
