"Pure bitter black coffee will do" Ryan gave his order and the rest followed in suit. He has always ordered black coffee since he was a child, that is because he needed the bitterness to remind him the need to survive. He had to live in line with his family's survival motto, to kill or be killed. Ryan saw her coming, his senses were a bit more active than the average hunter hones from years of training and battles, that was how he survived so far only depending on his instinct to become the best at this age. He felt her stir from afar all alone but it carried no killing intent, so he let her be but there was something about her that he can't really put in place and everything about her screamed of danger, just like a predator surveying it's prey from all sides.
It wasn't until she arrived at their table that he saw her eyes clearly it was the brightest of bright eyes he had ever seen, pure innocence could be seen in them but the more you look into them the more you see that behind those innocent eyes there's danger and killing intent in them. That's because those innocent and pure eyes had dragged many to their graves. " Sir, your coffee as you ordered," Kira said but before she could take her leave, she heard an angry voice behind "wait!" it was the young boy who she guessed should be Ryan "Didn't you listen to instructions? This shouldn't be what I ordered"
"Oh! Sorry sir, I might've brought you the wrong order. I might've added a little bit of sugar" she said calmly. "and why" he sounded nonchalantly. "I just thought black coffee is too bitter for you, so I just really wanted to show you that it can be better with just a little sugar added to it" she said with an innocent look, hoping that he will come around.
"I love my coffee black without sugar. You shouldn't change customer's orders as you please" he pointed out rubbing between his brows. "I apologize" Was Kira's response to his comment. Ryan raised his head to look at her for a moment before turning away from her face.
"Is your customers service this poor?" The older man who had been sitting quietly ever since asked angrily. "No sir" Kira quickly replied with a slight bow bitting down a growl. " Call your manager, I need to complain to her directly" he said and Kira quickly ran off to call Celine.
A few minutes later, Celine walked back to the store room where Kira was waiting, and with the look of things she wasn't happy.
"Celine look, I just added a little bit of sugar what's the fuss about that? …" Kira said with a growl and unhappy tone " Please stop Kira! You should've noticed that those two are hunters right, and by the looks of it they're not your average hunters. So why would you go out of your way to provoke them? What you did was dangerous, you know? I know you hate hunters but please don't drag me down with you! Don't make me regret taking you in." Celine said angrily.
"I'm sorry" Kira apologized. " Please don't just do that again they were furious about what you just did, I don't appreciate your behavior today" she said calmly.
" I won't" Kira said knowing that she went too far but in her heart she didn't seem to see anything wrong with her actions, it was a simple matter to her. Provoking them was so that when they act up she end them right there, Kira has always had the thoughts of the strong trampling the weak and she was sure that she had the strength to trample her foes. The rest of the day went smoothly although the morning was rough.
The next day , it was a beautiful morning with a bright sunlight peeping through the curtains. The chirping birds were clearly heard in the bedroom through the balcony. "ah please stop" Kira had to set up her alarm so she won't be late on her first day to school. Waking up, she took a deep breath, wiped off the sweat from her forehead with the back of her palms, then put her head at the headrest trying to make her breathing stable. It was something she does always, because every night she went to sleep, her last memories played like a nightmare, so waking up every morning she'd be agitated and on urge to spill blood of those hunters. The only way to make her take off her mind off that was going on a run with her wolf pack in Chihuahua, but because of her first day in highschool she couldn't afford a run with the wolves.
Leaving the bed, She walked to the restroom to shower. After showering Kira dried herself up and her hair, she wore a black jean trousers with a black crop top topped up with a black jacket and black boots and combing her brown thick curls up in bun. She grabbed her backpack and walked back to the room, picked up her phone and wallet put them in her bag and she was good to go.
It was Kira's first day at school. She felt terrible as the thoughts of being in the same place for hours with strangers, humans and hunters smelling the dislikable smell off of them. It was something she'd never get used to. She stopped at the entrance of the school and sighed. Suddenly, she smelled a familiar scent from behind before she heard a voice from behind "Is it necessary to stand right in the middle of the road?!" She heard a calm voice but was devoid of warmth and familiar to her. "It's not necessary to walk right behind me when there are other places to walk?" She reply nonchalantly and he frowned. He said nothing and walked around her, but unknown to her a light smile formed on his face when he was far out of her sight. Kira almost snarled looking at the back of Ryan whom she had a confrontation with at her work place.
"Don't pay him any attention" She again heard someone spoke from behind. "What?" She asked mindfully making sure to put a fair distance between them. "I'm Camille Didier and you new?" She introduced friendly. "Kira...." she simple answered but without the enthusiasm as the girl who introduced herself as Camille. "Do you know that guy?" Kira thoughtfully asked seeing Camille still looking at where Ryan had left. " Yes, I mean who wouldn't. He is new and the hottest, everyone wants to be friends with him even the queen Bee but he behaves coldly and likes to be alone" Camille replied feeling heartbroken.
"Now back to us, what grade are you?" Camille asked. " Grade 10" Kira answered blankly preparing to leave behind this enthusiastic girl. "oh! Me too. Come I will show you around" Camille offered
" No need!" Kira rejected coldly and started to walk away. Seeing that Camille quickly ran after her. "Hey c'mon, you're new and don't know much around here, I'm offering a free tour and information just be my friend!" Camille barked making Kira roll her eyes. Kira had the desire to tear apart the mouth of this chattering human because she was getting on her nerves. But Camille was too busy talking to notice Kira's change.
"I'll introduce you to some of my friends! This is Anton" Camille introduced meeting a student on the way. Anton waved cheerfully at Camille "Hi! Welcome Kira. Where are you from?" Anton greeted Kira also having the same enthusiastic personality as Camille.
"Around" Kira answered still walking away hoping to create a distance between her and the two following her around. "Hope you like it here" he asked but she ignored and turned a deaf ear. "Good, let's go I'll take you to the dean's office" he smiled sweetly offering.
