Starlet watched her child play with the toy she had given her to appease her. She hoped Aurora would not be affected greatly by what she was doing. She also feared that her child would be damaged even more if she did not go down the route she was on. She did not want to be a bad example to her daughter. She did not want to be the sad parent that her child looked back on with pity or worse, loathing.
She thought that she would be happy in this setup but that was temporary. She could never be happy in the dynamic they had. Lucien did not love her so he was not happy.
