Ruby's doubtful gaze met mine once again, her emerald eyes scrutinizing my every move. "Do you truly mean it? No scales...no muscles..." She trailed off, a hint of self-doubt creeping into her voice. "For centuries, I have been rejected by others like me due to my lack of dragon traits in this form."
"Ruby," I assured her softly, taking a step closer and looking directly into her eyes. "You are stunningly beautiful just the way you are. The human features enhance your natural radiance." My fingers reached out towards her cheek gently running them along its smooth contours, somehow she felt warm and cool at the same time
Ruby flinches slightly at my touch, a small smile playing on her lips despite her skepticism. "I cannot believe you find me attractive," she whispers, her voice filled with disbelief. "After all these centuries of being called ugly by others like me...it's hard to understand."
"But it's true," I repeat, my voice firm and confident. "Ruby, you are unique in every sense of the word. And as for your human form being considered ugly by others—" I shake my head, my eyes meeting hers. "That says more about them than it does about you."
"Perhaps," she responds cautiously, still uncertain whether or not she can trust my words. "But those scales covering one's privates is a natural part of our species. The fact that I lack them only makes me stand out further." She turned away slightly, trying to hide her discomfort with her own nudity.
Ruby's cheeks flush a deep pink as she was in face naked in her human form. "Oh no... I've been baring everything to you this entire time." She whispers, covering herself with her arms.
"Hey now," I laughed softly, reaching out towards her again. "It's completely alright. You don't need to feel embarrassed about your body." I pull my jacket off and hold it open towards her like an invitation, smirking when she hesitates for a moment before wrapping herself in its warmth.
"You're absolutely beautiful, Ruby." I compliment her softly, stealing a glance at her face as she snuggles deeper into my jacket. Unbeknownst to her, my right hand sneaks around her waist, moving closer and closer towards the curve of her backside—the urge to explore every inch of her slender form too strong to resist.
Suddenly, Ruby stiffens in my arms. She turns around quickly and looks down at me with narrowed emerald eyes—her strength palpable even in this frail human form....this is where I fucked up
