Tyler hesitated for a moment, unsure of how his request would be received. He didn't want to impose or overstay his welcome, but he also didn't have anywhere else to go. Grace looked at him with a mix of sympathy and gratitude.
"You're more than welcome to stay the night," she said kindly. "I can't thank you enough for helping Ashley. It would put my mind at ease knowing that you were here in case she needed anything else."
Tyler let out a sigh of relief and nodded gratefully. "Thank you, Grace. I really appreciate your kindness."
Grace led Tyler to a spare bedroom where he could rest for the night. As he settled into the comfortable bed, his mind raced with thoughts of the events that had unfolded that day. He couldn't believe how his life had taken such an unexpected turn.
But just then, the words "dress well" came into his mind. He realized that he had nothing suitable to wear for the occasion that awaited him the next day. His casual clothes wouldn't do.
He immediately brought out his phone and dialed a number, "hello, I'd be needing an expensive suit for a business meeting, a pair of glasses, and shoes." He paused for a while, "yes, I don't mind the cost of the suit, just trace my location and send it to me before 6am tomorrow, no mistakes." After nodding his head he hung up the call.
"Wow!" Just that morning, he had been a struggling young man with no prospects or hope for the future. And now, he found himself in possession of unimaginable wealth and connected to a family he never knew existed. It was all so overwhelming.
As Tyler lay there in the darkness, he couldn't help but wonder what the future had in store for him. He knew that with great wealth came great responsibility, and he was determined to use his newfound resources to make a difference in the world.
But for now, as he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep, he couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude and hope. He had found a temporary refuge in the home of a stranger, and he knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, he wouldn't face them alone.
Tyler spent the rest of the day in a daze, trying to process everything that had happened. He couldn't believe that he had just become a billionaire overnight. He tried to imagine all the things he could do with his newfound wealth, but his mind couldn't seem to wrap around the concept.
"Tomorrow will be a new day, filled with possibilities and opportunities," he thought to himself as he drifted off to sleep, with a smile on his face.
At around 5:45 am, he heard a knock on the door. He walked to the door and opened it to find Grace standing there.
"Here you go, please sign here so I can send it back, another thing I'd need your ATM card too." She gave him a bag and a delivery book to sign on.
"Thank you so much!" He said and signed on the book, "Keep the card with you, you can return it when I'd be leaving." He smiled and she did the same. She walked out of the room and closed the door behind her after which Tyler went back to bed.
Not too long again he heard a knock on the door and with a growl he stood up and walked to the door again.
"There's something waiting for you outside," she said with a mysterious smile as soon as he opened the door.
Curiosity piqued, Tyler stepped outside and his eyes widened in surprise. Parked in front of the house was a sleek black car, and a smartly dressed driver was standing beside it, holding the door open.
"Mr. Tyler?" The driver asked politely.
"Yes, that's me," Tyler replied, feeling a bit self-conscious in his casual clothes.
"Mr. Richards has sent me to pick you up," the driver said, gesturing towards the car. "Please, allow me to take you to him."
Tyler hesitated for a moment, feeling a nervous flutter in his stomach. What if this was all a trap? What if he was walking into a dangerous situation?
But then, he remembered the voice of Mr. Richards on the phone. He sounded friendly, grandfatherly even. Tyler decided to take the chance nevertheless, "I'd be back." He went back to the room, took the bag which was delivered to him and put it on after getting himself cleaned up.
Tyler looked smart and sophisticated in his black suit, which hugged his tall, lean frame nicely. His black jet dreamy eyes sparkled behind his glasses, and his brown hair was well-groomed and neatly combed. His olive skin appeared to glow underneath the sleek black fabric, and his creative choice of wearing an unbuttoned shirt added a touch of coolness to his overall ensemble.
Tyler looked like a stylish and suave gentleman, oozing with confidence and charm, who would ever have believed he could put on such an expensive suit?
He walked out of the house and even Grace was surprised to see the transformation, "alright, I'd be leaving now." He muttered.
"Here is your ATM, I hope we meet again." She said and he giggled, "I do too."
He got into the car and settled back into the comfortable leather seat.
The driver started the car and drove off into the morning light. They drove for about twenty minutes, and Tyler felt his excitement and anxiety building with each passing minute. They were heading towards one of the most expensive and luxurious areas in town, and Tyler couldn't believe he was going to one of the houses there.
Finally, they came to a stop outside one of the biggest mansions Tyler had ever seen. The driver got out of the car and held the door open for Tyler.
"Please, follow me," he said, gesturing towards the entrance of the house.
They walked through an elaborately decorated hallway adorned with paintings and sculptures. Tyler couldn't help but feel like he was in a museum, his heart pounding with anticipation. They finally reached a set of double doors, and the driver opened them to reveal a grand room.
The room was filled with people, all dressed in suits and gowns. Tyler saw some of the most influential businessmen, politicians, and celebrities in the room, and he felt a sense of overwhelming awe.
"Tyler, my boy!" A voice boomed from the other end of the room. Tyler turned to see his benefactor, Mr. Richards, walking towards him with his arms outstretched.
"Welcome to my humble abode!" Mr. Richards said, enveloping Tyler in a warm embrace.
Tyler smiled nervously, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the attention. "Thank you, sir," he said, still trying to wrap his head around the surreal situation.
"Please, call me Dad," Mr. Richards said, leading Tyler towards a group of people. "I want you to meet some of the most talented and influential people in the world. They're all here tonight to celebrate your arrival, your come back."
Tyler stared at Mr. Richards, feeling a sense of disbelief. Was this all really happening? Was he really the center of attention in this magnificent gathering of influential people?
He shook his head, feeling a sense of gratitude wash over him. Mr. Richards had given him a chance, a lifeline when he had nothing. He was grateful and determined to make the most of this opportunity.
"Hello everyone! meet my only child, Tyler." Mr William said after grabbing everyone's attention.
"I would say that my son here would be talking over to me in a while, for now to get to know him." He smiled at Tyler as he hugged and started introducing him to them.
As he mingled with the guests, Tyler realized one thing: money could buy a lot of things, "who said it couldn't buy happiness? That person must be a fool." He smiled to himself.
He was determined to use his wealth wisely and make a difference in the world. He didn't know how yet, but he knew that he had the power to change people's lives for the better.
And that thought made all the difference.
Tyler was still in shock, when did he become a rich man's son? Jeez!
He smirked because he knew that his life would never be the same again.
But he was ready for it. He was ready to embrace his new life and all the challenges that came with it. He was ready to use his wealth to create an impact in the world, and that was all that mattered. For Tyler, the journey had just begun, and he was excited to see where it would take him.
