Rain tapped against the glass of Charli's house as the Ghost knocked his mother out.
"Dude! You hit a women!"
"She was abusing Charli, I don't care. What she was doing, was far worse than what I did."
Charli had no problem tossing her in the basement and locking the doors. With that out of the way, the two got the Ghost fitted in one of Charli's school uniforms.
"There, now you'll blend in!"
"This is a little tight in the legs."
The Ghost wasn't built, rather he was toned. His legs were pure muscle, and his upper body was muscle. Charli couldn't help but blush as the Ghost looked at himself in the mirror.
"I'll have LQ get the school your fake documents, but for now, we need a cover for you."
"This is the first time I can't think of a single thing."
"He could be a transfer from Ireland! They have plenty of Americans there!"
"True, but we need more depth."
"Well, I don't hear you giving any ideas Clarity!"
She paused a minute, but the smiled with a grin that would rival Rothschild's.
"You're Charli's boyfriend."
Charli spat out the water he was drink and the Ghost stared her down.
"WHAT!?" they both said in unison
"It's perfect! Nobody would question it!"
Charli groaned then the Ghost chimed in.
"Fuck it, why the hell not?"
Charli sat up and looked at the Ghost.
"Tell me you're joking."
"Charli, it's this or he's my brother, and he looks nothing like me."
"She does have a point."
Charli and the Ghost looked at her.
"You owe me."
"Please, after all the favors I've done for you? Besides, Ghost here isn't exactly lacking. He's kind of hot."
"CLARITY!"
The Ghost looked at her and just shook his head as she got off the bed.
"I'll be downstairs on the couch, so get acquainted you two love birds."
She locked the door after closing it and smiled to herself as she walked downstairs.
"CLARITY! OPEN THIS DOOR!"
"I doubt she'll be doing that anytime soon, so let's make the best of it."
"How are you okay with this?"
"Trust me, being gay for a while, least of my problems."
"Really?"
"Back home, we're gearing up for war."
"War? With them?"
"Yep, we have not intention of being slaves to them."
"What's it like?"
"What?"
"What is your home like?"
"Oh, it's not bad. I live in a mansion, my grandpa is still kicking and he's helping us rebuild everything, so I'd say things are going well."
"A mansion? I've only live in small houses."
"Trust me, you'd love it there."
As the two talked, the Ghost cleaned off his armor, and repaired a few dents.
"Did you learn that from having to fight?"
"This? No, not fully. I used to work on cars before our country was reduced to rubble."
"Oh, that sounds nice."
"When I say cars, I mean classic cars, like shit from the 1970's."
"They are cool!"
"I know right!"
Charli was blushing as they were close to each other.
"We should probably sleep, it's getting late."
"Yea, probably."
As the two got ready for bed, Charli gave the Ghost a cut off he'd kept from one of previous boyfriends. The Ghost slept on the ground while Charli slept on the bed.
As time passed, Charli couldn't sleep, so he got up, and laid in front of the Ghost. As he started to dose off, the Ghost, who was already asleep, laid his arm over Charli. As the two passed out, Clarity opened the door quietly, and snapped a picture.
"Nova. They're gonna hate me, but this is going in the scrapbook."
