Chapter 10 - Here's the Situation

As the Irishmen were interrogated by the Watcher and the Ghost, everyone else helped get the Japanese settled into their new lives in Ottawa.

"Listen up! This is Archie and the Armorer, they will be giving you the tour of Ottawa as the rest of us get your rooms and jobs situated.

As Archie and the Armorer began the tour, the Japanese noticed just how defendable New Ottawa was. Anti-air trailers and plenty of aircrafts. A functional train bridge to keep thieves away from the train and plenty of vantage points to keep incoming enemies at bay.

The City of New Ottawa was a fully locked down fortress. It had everything you could ask for, but above all else, it was hidden away, out of sight of the New World Order.

Meanwhile the Japanese toured Ottawa, the Ghost and Watcher were relentless in trying to get the Irishman to talk.

"Who sent you?"

"Like we've told you for the last four hours! NOBODY! We came here for our own free will!"

"Sure, Watcher, check their arms."

Daniel checks each of their arms, legs, backs, and chest for microchips.

"They're clean."

"Fine. Clancy was it? Tell me something."

"Yes?"

"How is it three Irishmen make it this far inland? What is it that you are doing here?"

"We left home because of the New World Order. They've made life unbelievably hard for all of the Eastern Hemisphere."

"How so?"

"To start, the assassinated every single leader of every country. Then using the UN's military, they marched all over, enforcing what you'd call Marshal Law. We were trapped for weeks, nobody knew what we had done, nor what they had planned. I knew they were bad when they killed off the leaders of the IRA. I talked my mates into opening a pub here, but most of us didn't make it. Us three walked for weeks just trying to find hope, that's when we saw B-25s overhead and followed them."

"How many of you were there?"

"Eight in total, but when we saw the walls, we knew people had to live here."

"Watcher, cut them loose."

The Watcher cuts the ropes off of them and stands them up.

"I apologies for our harsher methods, but you must understand, we will not let a single New World Order spy into our gates or our lands. Come with me, I'll show you around town."

"One second Ghost, sir. You must know, The New World Order is currently operating out of a base in Antarctica."

"Antarctica you say?"

"Yes, they're planned something, we couldn't crack it before the IRA was killed, but judging by what you've built here, we'll do our best to assist you in your quest."

"Watcher, gather the Key Counsel, we need to discuss this."

By mid-afternoon, the Key Counsel had convened in the Courthouse.

"Everyone listen up, this is Clancy, Thomas, and Peter. They have come all the way from Ireland and have brought us some news. Gentlemen, before you begin speaking, I am the Ghost of Ottawa, leader of New Ottawa. On my left you have Vice leader Daniel Light, better know as the Watcher, Lots crew ambassador Overlord, Chief Scientist Juno, and Barbara, military advisor of the Liberty Lurkers of New Ottawa. To my right, New Ottawa Relations Liaison Bubba, 451st Fahrenheit Company Commander Inferno, Honored Reverend Everett, and our recent addition to the counsel, Tom Buchanan, head of the Preppers of Seneca. Now, tell them exactly what you told the Watcher and myself."

"My name is Clancy O'Connor, and I am a former member of the IRA. Before most of the IRA was killed, we put together that the New World Order had set up their command post in Antarctica. We couldn't figure out what they were up to, nor why they were there in the first place. We lost five of us on the journey here, and we are willing to work with you to stop whatever they are doing."

The counsel mumbled amongst themselves for a while as they tried to make sense of the news they'd received."

"Thomas, I am the Overlord, we are sorry for your losses on your journey here. As for what you have told us, currently we lack the resources to mount the kind of attack that would draw them out."

"I am Barbara, and to add to the Overlord's point, we must maintain our secrecy. The last thing we need is the New World Order coming here and ruining everything before we have a single chance to get started. Trust me, we are all anxious to swing on the Order, but without resources and manpower, we can't."

"Then let us help you! We know people, if we could get more of my countrymen here, we'd have an army!"

"The Busch Hunter and his hunters are not only out hunting, but also looking for survivors to rebuild Fahrenheit Company as we speak. If we can hold out till they can get back here, I'm sure we can get across the pond, but until then, you'll just have to sit tight. pitch in and things will move faster."

"What if we knew where to get people from?"

"Tell us."

"Head south, there are rumors of people banding together. At least we heard that from a wanderer."

The Ghost nodded and looked to the Watcher, then looked back to Clancy.

"We'll go, Clancy, have your brothers report to Bubba after the meeting is over."

"Understood."

The meeting ran longer than expected but once the meeting ended, the Ghost, Clancy Daniel and a few others went to the airbase.

"Logan, what's the status of the Enola?"

"The Enola is in tough shape, but we've managed to fix her fueling issue."

"Good work, is the Ottawa Escort fueled and ready to go?"

"You bet. Heading out?"

"Down south, hopefully bringing back people."

"Good luck to you."

As the Ottawa Escort rumbled down the runway, lifting into the air, the group knew this task would be difficult, but a task to secure their future.
