Tony's POV
"Hey, you weakling, get up and attack him again," my voice roared from where I was sitting while observing my soldiers training with the men that I had commanded them to gather from each household.
It's true that in the beginning they were all weak, but after five days of hard training, they have started adapting, even though they still don't have what it takes to go to the battlefield.
As I was still observing them, one of the guards ran towards me.
"Greetings, Alpha," he said to me while prostrating himself.
"Yes, how may I help you?" I asked him.
"Alpha, there is a message for you; it came from the Moonstone Pack. I think it was sent by the Alpha of the Moonstone Pack," he said to me while handing me an envelope.
Once I took the envelope and inspected it, I realized that it was really sent from the Moonstone Pack, but it wasn't sent by the Alpha because there was no royal seal on it.
Without hesitating, I opened the envelope and brought out the paper on which the message was written, and after reading it, a warm smile buttered my face.
"Go and call the whole elders; tell them that their presence is requested in the court chamber immediately and that if it pleases them, let them be late like the previous time," I said to the guard that had brought the message to me.
"Yes, my Alpha," he replied while bowing his head.
In less than twenty minutes, the court chamber was filled as usual. I could clearly hear the murmurs of the elders, and I knew that it was because their sons were among those training to become soldiers.
"Silence!" My voice echoed throughout the court chamber as their murmurs became unbearable for me.
"What gave you people the courage to murmur before your Alpha?" My voice roared in anger in the court chamber.
"Please, Alpha, have mercy on us; it won't happen again." They all started pleading with me while prostrating themselves.
"I hope so, because if it ever happens again, I will change your positions from elders of Oz Pack to soldiers of Oz Pack." I threatened them angrily while fuming in anger, but they all remained silent while avoiding my gaze.
"I summoned you all because I received a mind-blowing message from the Moonstone Pack, and I bet that you are all going to love it," I said to them, and immediately they glanced at each other in surprise.
"At first, when I saw the message, I thought that it came from the Alpha, but after inspecting it, I realized that it wasn't from the Alpha but instead was from one of the citizens of the Oz Pack," I said to them while grinning from ear to ear.
"Please, Alpha, do you mind sharing with us this mind-blowing message?" one of the elders requested.
"Yes, of course, that is what I'm about to do," I said to him while removing the paper containing the message from the envelope.
"You better pay attention because I won't read it twice," I said to them before proceeding.
"Dear Alpha of Oz pack, greetings to you and your entire pack.
My name is Donald Bates a former elder in Moonstone pack.
Some weeks ago, Leroy, the chief commander of our pack, returned to our pack after some months of absence with a beta she-wolf named Janet Benson.
After inquiries, we discovered that the she-wolf is a member of your pack and that she ran away after murdering the Alpha, who is also your father.
Well, since her arrival in our pack, it has been from one problem to another. First, I was removed from my position as elder just because I asked our cruel Alpha to hand her over to you, and second, the Alpha rejected my daughter, whom the moon goddess had destined to be his mate.
Because of all these, I have decided to help you capture her for you, but in return, you will help me capture the Alpha of our pack so that I can kill him and become the new Alpha of the Moonstone pack.
If my request is pleasing to the Alpha, please do well to write back to me as soon as possible.
Yours faithfully, Donald Bates."
"So, my dear elders, what do you all think?" I asked them after reading the letter.
"To be sincere, my Alpha I think that this is a blessing from the moon goddess, because, as they say, a snake will always be a snake, no matter where it's taken. If you had killed her along with her parents, maybe your father would still be alive, but since you didn't, the moon goddess has provided another opportunity for you to do what you didn't do for some months, and I advise you not to miss it again," one of the elders said to me.
"Yes, Alpha, and with this present opportunity, it's no longer necessary to wage war against them; all you need to do is agree to Donald's condition, and he will do everything at your place," the second elder said to me.
"And what about his condition? Do you think that capturing the Alpha of the Moonstone pack for him is going to be that easy?" I asked them with an inquisitive look.
"Well, my Alpha, that is his own cup of tea; once he hands over Janet to you, it's up to you to decide if you are going to grant him his request or not," Eduardo, the elder that I almost strangled the previous time, said to me.
"I think that you are all right; call the royal secretary for me; I need to write to him back as soon as possible," I said to one of the elders.
"Right away, my Alpha," he replied while heading outside.
"My dear elders, this good news needs to be celebrated true or true?" I asked them while smiling.
"True!" they all replied in unison.
"Guards!" I called out to the guards.
"Yes, my Alpha," the guards replied while prostrating themselves.
"Tell the servants to supply us with food and drinks in a very large quantity," I commanded the guards.
"Yes, Alpha, they replied before leaving.
