Chapter 231 - Very Moist

The door of the church in East Springs was closed, and when it was pushed open with great effort, it was found to be empty; there was no expected blood, no traces left by the fight, and all the scenes of tragedy envisioned before coming were not seen.

"Where is everyone?"

Turning on his senses, he saw only a neat row of footprints on the ground stretching out from the doorway.

It looks as if they left in a very organized fashion.

Eleazar thought about it and followed the footprints out.

Not forgetting to close the door behind him.

Footprints left hours ago left the town in another direction, traveled over fields, crossed a river, and crested another hill before the white figure was seen in the village below.

Eleazar quickly ran down.

"What are you guys doing?"

The acolytes guarding the entrance to the village looked at him in surprise.

"Didn't you go back already?"

"Aren't you guys dead?"

Eleazar swallowed the question back down and blurted back, "Something big happened in town, I took care of it, then went back to the church to find no one inside."

"What a big deal!"

The acolyte's expression was instantly serious.

"A couple of assassins from Loran, and a Shadow Warrior from the Shadow Council."

"How did it go?"

The acolyte asked, still serious.

Witcher replied breezily, "Killed them all."

"..."

"What about effects other than killing?"

"Nothing major, at least no transcendental witnesses."

"I'll go back and look!"

The acolyte who had guarded the doorway stepped into a room and reported back before leaving in a hurry.

Eleazar senses the evil wafting out of the house and frowns slightly.

Walking in and glancing at the nervous-looking parents, he walked up to the second floor.

In that room with the door wide open, a small, pale-faced boy lay on the bed, with the cleric and the holy warrior standing off to the side.

Carol is full of seriousness as she learns the exorcism ritual.

The old cleric turned, looked at him, and said faintly to the holy warrior again, "The boy's jaw is dislocated; he was force-fed the Egg of Corruption."

"That kind of thing has a parasitic consciousness, once it finds the right place it will grow tentacles to climb, striking the belly is not going to induce vomiting, next time remember to force it out with a constant input of holy light."

"Oooooh!"

The room, covered in black sewage and with a smudge of dirt still lingering around the corner of the boy's mouth, looked like it had suffered badly.

Witcher, who had his Transcendence turned on, leaned against the door with an extraordinarily indifferent expression.

After taking care of everything and planting the parents with seeds of holy light that would gradually forget about the incident, the three left the village.

"A call for help came in early in the morning about a boy who was possessed by a demon and was acting strangely."

The old cleric said to Witcher at his side.

"Shadow Council Attack."

Eleazar also explains a bit about why he's back.

The steps of the two men beside him stalled for a moment, then darted back.

"That's what you mean by not much of an impact?"

The acolyte who had returned first was sullen.

"The fighting destroyed a farm, broke a bridge, a road, an orchard, and a water tank..."

"Is the enemy strong?"

The old cleric stopped the blame and glanced at Witcher.

Eleazar pulls out his dragon tooth dagger.

Seeing that the old magus still had a bit of a thoughtful expression, he drew the silver longsword of the holy warrior beside him again, and the two slowly touched each other.

The silver weapon was silently slashed.

The eyes of the acolytes and sacred weapons bulged.

"What is this material!?"

"I'm afraid this is a dragon's tooth..."

The old cleric's face was grave.

After allaying their suspicions, Eleazar walked quietly out of the church.

With this accident, the trip back was only delayed by a day.

...

At night, he went back to the Great Snow Mountain and took one last look at the area that had been transformed by the magic potion ritual.

The snow had faded a lot, restoring the original color of the mountains, and everywhere there were boulders as high as a man's head, with a little bit of shiny crystals vaguely visible in the crevices of the rocks, and hot springs gushing out in some places.

After thinking about it, he removed his clothes and soaked them in a hot spring that would have scalded a regular person.

"Mmm, soothing~"

Breathing out a hot breath, Eleazar leaned against the stone wall of the natural hot springs, thinking back to the Shadow Warrior who had tried to deliberately provoke him out of control during the day so that he could better settle the fight.

"A battle between Transcendents is nothing to use..."

Listening to the commotion behind him, he said without looking back, "I was told you were moist."

Carol, who had crept closer, jumped at the sound, then asked in annoyance:

"Who! Who is so bold!"

"A fool who plays with fire."

Listening to the rustling of movement behind him, Eleazar inclined his head slightly.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm a full-fledged acolyte now."

The paladin covered his body and quickly slid down into the water.

"It's just helping you replenish your holy light for a few days, and the result came so easily that it makes me feel a bit unreal, so consider it as an extra compensation for you."

I don't know if it was because the water was too warm, but her body gradually turned pink.

"It doesn't seem like you're compensating like this, it's not quite enough..."

Eleazar looked at the clear water.

Miles and miles of uninhabited vast snowy mountains, a natural hot spring rising out of the heat, a man and a woman floating in it.

Eleazar fished his solid, tight-feeling legs out of the water and lifted them back up to press them against the paladin's shoulders, the reddened face with its eyes closed tightly, waiting for the water ghost to come ...

"Consider it a dog bite."

Eleazar walks around in the pool with some amusement as he holds the beauty with her body stacked on top of each other.

Carol was so disoriented by the onslaught of strange stimuli that she could no longer tell things apart long ago as her body moved and spun around, her only concern being that the place that brought endless pleasure not stop.

"Remember, the consequences of getting a position that doesn't match your strength are severe..."

Eleazar leaned back against the stone wall.

"Keep your holy light in mind and don't get smart like that again."

Carol leaned her back against him, "Che, all you do is preachy evil knights!"

"You're speaking from the heart again."
