Chapter 232 -  Pointing the Witcher Needle

"Dragon's tooth dagger, ring of fire resistance, um... Ripped Cloak of Shadows."

"Frost gloves, a pile of scrap metal, and what's this, a Witcher pointing pin?"

In the returning train car, Eleazar sorts through the haul from that attack yesterday.

Looking at the compass-like thing that pointed in whatever direction he got the needle pointed at him, he frowned.

"There's more of this?"

He couldn't appraise, so he couldn't tell if the pointing pin was something he had left behind and the enemy had taken it and made it into a tracker.

"Well, take it to Finnian when you get back..."

I wonder how many copies of the magic potion that beautiful boy digested.

Thinking back to the event that seemed so long ago, but hadn't been that long, Eleazar slowly put the desktop clutter away.

Finally, he picked up the dragon tooth dagger that was half a foot long.

A piercing coldness came from that blade that was like alabaster.

"Well, it's the Blue Dragon..."

Shaking it gently, it seemed to still feel the liquid sloshing around inside.

With a thought, Eleazar pulls a container out of the space crystal, then half pours a half cup of blue viscous liquid from the hollowed-out dagger.

It was the Mythical Poison System formulated by Blue Dragon Blood, so it was no wonder that his physique was dangerously close to not being able to withstand it.

It was a weapon carefully prepared for his assassination.

Eleazar muttered to himself, "Looks like I've been discovered ah, they can tell the approximate location by the Ritual Plague of Heaven, so the more I choose those out-of-the-way places, the bolder they get."

"It doesn't look like there's a huge shortage of material, so these collections are that important to them?"

Eleazar checked the space crystal again.

"No, the Shadow Council Elder's collection was split into two, something very important is likely on Fina's side!"

A bit worried about the situation on her end, Eleazar immediately tries to talk to the black cat when he gets back.

"Tell Nana to hide and never reveal her tracks!"

"Meow meow meow!"

I also wonder if the enchanter can still contact her.

Eleazar sighed as he watched the black cat reply with a cry of his own before plopping down leisurely to lick his paws again.

Looking at the dying sky, he set off for the church.

...

The acolytes had been waiting for him there for a long time.

Watching the man waddle in with a silver jug, Sister Fledgling said, disgruntled, "All you do is drink all day."

Eleazar lifted his dark red eyes and returned lazily:

"If you don't drink it now, are you going to wait until you die and someone else pours it on the ground for you?"

That conspicuous fae feature made the surrounding acolytes flinch.

Qishi smiled faintly and clasped his hands together.

"Okay, now let's confer about the follow-up about someone sneaking out to take a magic potion and then causing a series of things to happen."

Sister Freed immediately reached out and pointed, "Sinner!"

Eleazar looked back behind himself curiously.

"Me?"

The nun was shocked at his chutzpah, "Hardly me?"

Qishi pressed her arm.

"While your magic potion ceremony scene was a bit shocking, the follow-through was actually within our reach, and it's comforting to know that you already know how to keep the order in check, but there's something else we'd like to talk about."

"How does the Shadow Council's modus operandi feel, do you still want to take sides with the warlocks?"

Eleazar turned his head slowly, "She's not a member of the Shadow Council!"

"Got it, got it, put your dragon's breath away first."

Watching the lurid red light subside, the surrounding acolytes then dropped their guard.

Qishi said lightly, "Chasing down the warlock, they released a vampire that had been starving for who knows how long and turned your entire hometown into a blood domain, that father-in-law of yours was the only survivor, and during the autopsy, we found out that it turned out that he had ripped out his heart to save himself from being turned into a blood ghost."

"So, please explain why the Shadow Council would still send Shadow Warriors after you?"

"Those two Loran Transcendents you handed over will just keep saying they were just commissioned and don't know anything."

Feeling the space crystals in his collar against his skin, Eleazar slowly tilts his head back to take another shallow sip.

"Could it be that you have a mole?"

No one answered back, and the acolytes around him looked at him with expressionless faces.

Unable to find any more excuses, Eleazar thought for a moment and simply threw out his true origins.

"Transcendent Farming, ah, those people haven't given up, after all, no wonder..."

Qishi rested his chin thoughtfully.

"What the hell do they want?" Eleazar asked the question on his mind.

"Oh?"

Qishi looked up and smiled, "Are you finally interested in participating in our fight?"

Eleazar is silent for a moment and turns away.

"Boring trysts..."

"Let me know the next time you spot a member of the Shadow Council."

Watching the man's back as he left, the nun asked curiously, "Your Highness, can't Witcher be trusted yet?"

"Uh-huh."

Qishi's face was thoughtful, "It's been a long time since the Shadow Council has been as active as this."

"They both seem to have some kind of unbelievable secret on them."

"And that Shadow Warrior was torn in half alive, that was an obvious venting of hate with personal emotion, what exactly did they talk about then?"

"I even think the key to the council's next plan may lie with these two."

...

...

Arriving at the academy, Eleazar found fellow Finnian students who happened to be getting ready to go to class.

Quickening his pace, he walked into the classroom and sat down next to him.

"Huh?"

Finnian turned his head in surprise and was just about to say hello when he saw Witcher tuck something away.

"Eleazar-san you've revealed your identity, but I haven't, don't be so bold!"

Noticing the fluctuation of a transcendent item, he hurriedly hid the item and looked around again with trepidation.

Eleazar braces his hands on the table, his eyes seemingly gazing at the blackboard in front of him, but his mouth is whispering to the person next to him.

"Don't worry, I'm keeping an eye out for you, that saintly woman is still in the church and hasn't come over."

Hearing him say that, Finnian let go of his heart, and then asked prettily, "Is this the gift you brought for me when you went away?"

"Uh..."

Eleazar mused, "Why don't you help me see what this is first, if it's nothing useful, it wouldn't hurt to give it to you as a gift."

It had been a casual remark, but not realizing that he could claim a transcendent gift, Finnian immediately got serious.

After class, he took Witcher directly to the rooftop, found an unoccupied corner, and then delicately sensed the finger Witcher needle. "Hmm, the pointer is some sort of flame-absorbing material, and with the inscription on the base, well..."

"I get it, it's a transcendental prop that tracks the source of high-energy fire within a certain range, but why does it keep pointing at you?"
