"Hey! Mr. Prince~"
Walking down a forest path, Evelea suddenly jumps out of the way.
Eleazar twisted his head to look at her faintly, his eyes suddenly narrowing.
The witch's face was white...
It used to be white, but it wasn't the bloodless pallor it was now.
Eleazar blushed inexplicably and said, "That unlucky man who was purified by the Church last night, it couldn't have been you, could it?"
"More than oh..."
was about to continue saying something when the smile on Evelea's face suddenly disappeared.
He was covered in her scent...
The good mood that had delighted me all night was instantly gone.
"Hateful..."
Walking companionably down the forest path, Evelea, grinding her silver teeth hard, hated that she was transformed into a jealous witch.
Eleazar craned his head as if he felt something and said faintly, "Don't let me find out that you use curses on those around me."
"I'm not going to do anything as distasteful as that."
If only the curse worked.
Evelea smiled.
Suddenly thinking of something, she added, "Do you want to go see something fun, I just found something really interesting."
Eleazar frowned, "Are you truly not afraid of death?"
The church is not even gone yet, and they have the nerve to make waves under people's noses.
He remembered that the sequence of magical girls, the church never had a kill or a spare.
"Don't you want a promotion?"
Evelea cocked her head, "I don't suppose you've performed a single potion ritual, have you?"
Being exposed as salt in the wound, Eleazar sank on the spot.
"There's only one demonic spirit left in the school that's hiding, there's no other monsters, don't you dare try to trick me."
"Cursed objects, don't you care?"
"You can report it to the church, and maybe they'll reward you."
"Then let's go outside the city and look for monsters!"
Witch continued to suggest.
If he hadn't smelled like a warlock, she might have come stalking over the same way she had before.
Eleazar clasped his hands helplessly, "Going on a monster hunt without any clues, you're crazy, and what, you don't have anything else to do?"
Upon hearing that this solution wouldn't work, the witch remained excited and said, "Then let's go and destroy that demonic spirit!"
She looks, right now, more righteous than an acolyte.
Eleazar continued to dampen her enthusiasm, "Not a chance, it's so old that its deeds are untraceable, we don't even know how it formed, unless you're capable of digging through the school's archives, or you seduce it into coalescing its form, but don't even think about it, I've never seen it active, it's probably all been killed by the church already."
"I have an idea! I have an idea!"
Evelea held up her hand, "I can recreate the scene and maybe I'll find the source of the resentment."
Eleazar couldn't help but be silent for a moment.
Evelea smiled brightly, "Well, wasn't I useful!"
She then gleefully walked ahead to lead the way all the way to the boys' dormitory.
Eleazar frowned, "Here?"
Evelea found a bench on the side of the road and patted her ass down.
"Oh, go ahead and take a shower, I'll wait here."
"What the hell?"
Stroking the folds of her dress, Evelea said absently, "My spells are interfered with by unclean bodies, and you're dirty, so go wash up first."
Eleazar raised his hand at once and sniffed around.
"Where is it dirty?"
"Okay, I'll see what kind of tricks you're playing."
Eleazar returned to his quarters, resisted the urge to wash off the ethereal scent that Fina had left behind, put on another jacket, and brought out all his gear.
It was noon at the moment, most people had gone to the dining hall to eat, and the road was sparsely populated.
Seeing him retrace his steps, Evelea smiled brightly and stood up quickly, sticking up as she had before.
"Let go!"
Eleazar, who had already vaguely realized what was going on, instantly felt like he had been duped.
The two pulled and tugged their way to the woods deep in the school.
"Shh!"
Evelea suddenly shushed him, pulling him into a quick crouch.
Eleazar sensed someone ahead as well, but he wasn't a sequence like the Witch's where he was completely incapable of revealing his identity, after all, and was bold enough to use his Transcendent Vision to penetrate the trees and look ahead.
Well, not the church.
It's students like them, or even acquaintances...
Eleazar pulls up the timid-as-hell witch at her side and continues on her way.
Soon they met up with the gang.
"Huh, Eleazar what are you doing here too!"
Startled, the Norton guys turned their heads and settled down when they realized it wasn't the teacher who was coming.
Eleazar held his forehead helplessly, swept a glance at the apathetic maid and asked, "You're the ones, coming to a place like this... What for?"
"Lillian was organizing her files in the library today and found something really scary!"
"So our school really was haunted!"
Norton was full of excitement as he pointed at the abandoned dormitory building in front of him, "This is the place!"
Eleazar fell silent for a moment, not really knowing what to say.
Evelea leaned on his shoulder and surveyed the group with interest.
"Oh, I see, you guys are psychics?"
"No, we're mystery seekers."
Lillian looks down and pushes the brim of her hat back, a deep look on her face.
"Those mysterious pasts, unknown histories, will be revealed by us!"
"Cluck cluck cluck cluck cluck cluck cluck cluck cluck cluck cluck cluck cluck cluck..."
The witch burst into laughter.
Eleazar sighed helplessly, "If you guys came to adventure, forget it, why did you bring Missy, who is not well, out as well."
Mia took the opportunity to say, "Yes, let's go back miss."
Seebel: "No!"
Eleazar counsels, "The Spectre is dangerous, are there any fewer legends of it's killings, I think it's better if you don't put yourselves in harm's way."
"It's okay, we've got holy water ready, we just smuggled it back from the cathedral!"
Norton shook the water bottle in his hand with a smug look on his face.
A hidden aura of holy light slowly evaporated with the shaking.
Eleazar and Evelea looked at each other for a moment.
In a way, these guys are really good, actually blindly catching dead rats and finding the most effective things.
The Church's pool of all-you-can-eat holy water does work, and it definitely works far beyond most phenomena.
If the Demon Spirit dares to show its form...
Except Mia is still hitting them nonchalantly, "How are you sure this stuff works?"
"Whether it works or not, at least we're prepared, unlike some people..."
Lillian glanced in front of her.
"You mean us?"
Evelea tightened her arms in her arms again and laughed, "We're just looking for a secluded place with fewer people, but it looks like what you guys are up to seems like a lot of fun, mind if we join you?"
"No way!" Lillian's eyes erupted with a resentful glare from a single dog.
"This is an event for our Mystery Club, outsiders are not welcome!"
"Then we join the club!"
Evelea raises her hand.
