Chereads / His DESIRED MAN [BL] / Chapter 54 - CHAPTER 54:NOT HUNGRY

Chapter 54 - CHAPTER 54:NOT HUNGRY

Sky didn't know that just because he was a little late in receiving the medicine soup, he had already offended Aunt Mary.

He lowered his head and picked up the warm medicine soup, sipping it slowly.

The ginseng and angelica nourished his body, mixed with the sweet taste of red dates, and it was delicious.

With just one sip, Sky felt as if a warm current had invaded his entire body.

He had always been cold, and his hands and feet were not easily warmed up, especially in winter.

But after drinking this bowl of medicinal soup, the chill on his hands and feet seemed to have decreased a little.

Putting down the bowl, Sky timidly raised his eyes and looked at Dray, who was still holding him.

"Um, Master Li...thank you," he said softly, with a shy and sincere tone.

Dray's expression froze, and he looked indifferent.

Sky's heart skipped a beat.

He didn't quite understand why Dray was so cold and distant.

Just now, he was the one who asked him to drink the medicine soup, wasn't he concerned about him?

Anyway, for Sky, who always had cold hands and feet, drinking that bowl of medicinal soup had indeed made his whole body feel much warmer and more comfortable.

"Thank you for arranging the medicine for me," he said.

He gritted his teeth and expressed his gratitude once again.

"Heh...don't be too presumptuous. I don't have the time or interest to arrange things for you."

Unexpectedly, Dray only smirked and interrupted Sky's unfinished words with a cold and low voice.

"I'm not interested in arranging these things for you. This was...ordered by Eli and made by Aunt Mary. If you want to thank someone, thank him."

Dray paused for two seconds and looked at him with slightly embarrassed eyes, speaking each word clearly.

"..."

Sky's breath instantly froze.

The fiery embarrassment burned on his face.

He was...too naive.

How could he think that Master Li would condescend to arrange such trivial matters for him?

Sure enough, a momentary distraction could easily lead to such an embarrassing misunderstanding.

He should occasionally give himself a reality check to avoid forgetting his identity.

"Oh...it's Mr. Xia...yes, Mr. Xia has been very kind to me..."

Sky lowered his gaze, and his fluttering eyelashes covered the panic and embarrassment that flashed through his eyes for a moment.

He felt so embarrassed.

Extremely embarrassed!

Sky put his hands on the table and slid off Dray's lap.

"Um...let's eat, Master Li. If we don't eat now, the food will get cold and we'll waste all the good food Aunt Mary made..."

The soft and fragrant little man suddenly disappeared from his embrace.

The man who had just held the warm and fragrant beauty in his arms felt a sudden emptiness in his embrace.

His dark eyes narrowed slightly, and his cold and stern eyebrows furrowed.

He deliberately ignored the strange feeling in his heart.

Dray didn't pull the little man who had escaped from his embrace back.

He didn't explain the medicine he had just given him, letting Sky misunderstand, and just silently picked up the chopsticks on the table.

At this point, Sky had already buried his

 head and started eating.

On the table were exquisite dishes such as squirrel-shaped mandarin fish, Longjing shrimp, boiled cabbage, and braised lamb chops.

He buried his head and dared not look at Dray, only constantly picking up food with his chopsticks.

Soon, Sky was satisfied and put down his chopsticks.

When he looked up again, he found that Drat, who was sitting next to him, had hardly touched his rice.

The chopsticks were clean and placed aside, as if he hadn't even taken a bite.

Compared to Dray's low, cold, and unemotional demeanor, he was surrounded by delicious food and felt satisfied.

The contrast was stark.

Sky, "..."

He suddenly felt a little uneasy in his heart.

Dray didn't even touch his chopsticks while Sky had finished all the food in his bowl.

Is something wrong?

"Master Li..."

Finally, Sky's soft voice sounded, with a hint of hesitation, "Um...why aren't you eating?"

Dray's face remained cold, but his dark eyes glanced at him coldly.

"Not hungry."

He lowered his voice, with a hint of hidden anger, as if he was upset with someone.
