Silas Davidson stopped mid-sentence, placing the steaming coffee in his hand on the table, a look of regret in his eyes.
The reason he liked coffee was because it cheered him up.
However, he didn't want to hurriedly gulp it down like a cow chewing peony petals. Instead, he preferred to savour it slowly on a leisurely afternoon.
Yet before doing so, he had some serious business to attend to!
He stood up and looked around, but this time no one dared to meet his gaze!
Seriously, Silas Davidson spoke:
"I am just an ordinary person like every citizen in the city. I am not omnipotent as you might imagine. Saying this is not to dampen morale but to tell you..."
"Ordinary people have their own means to survive. They love this land and will want to protect their homes. They will protect everything they cherish!"
"So, make the announcement. Let them wait quietly. If anyone wants to take advantage of the situation, send them to the Thorn Church for disciplinary action."
