Steven had just received a quest a while ago saying he should save the young lady from the bandit. He hesitated for a bit and then thought that he could do it. he knew that fighting bandits that killed many people would be quite troublesome.
Steven removed his sword from his sheath and got into a fighting stance. " OK, there are only five, all I have to do is land a critical hit on each of them. The leader of the bandits took a step forward which made Steven filch a little. He had scars across his face and a huge sword placed on his shoulder with a smile on his face.
You two go get him, we will sell him off as a slave and make a lot of money; The leader of the bandits said pointing at two of the bandits by his side.
Steven took a deep breath as the two bandits charged at him. He swung his sword with all his might at the bandit in front but the bandit blocked the attack with his sword making him hit his back against the wall. The second bandit hit him with a staff by the side of his stomach, sending him flying outside the house and hitting his back against a wagon.

Steven groaned in pain as he tried to get. He knew he was outnumbered and outmatched, but he couldn't give up now. He had already gotten himself in the fight he knew there was no way to get out of this.
As he stood up, he saw the bandits closing in on him. He took a deep breath and charged at them with his sword. The bandits were taken aback by his sudden attack, but they quickly regained their composure and started fighting back.
Steven was quick on his feet though not that fast, but fast enough to dodge their attacks and land blows whenever he could. He knew he couldn't keep up forever, but he had to keep fighting. Suddenly, He saw an opening and took it. he landed a critical hit on the first bandit by giving him a slash across his chest knocking him out cold.
Shocked by what had happened to his fellow bandit, The second bandit charged at him with renewed vigor, but Steven was ready for him. He dodged the attack and stabbed him in his hand, making him fall to the ground and scream in pain.
The leader of the bandits looked in shock as Steven stood there looking at his sword, the leader of the bandits was not impressed. He charged at Steven with his huge sword. "Shit he's fast," Steven said as he dodged the attack narrowly cutting his jaw.
Well, I guess I will have to use all my stats points on speed Steven thought to himself
[Agility 5>10]
Suddenly, he felt a surge of energy coursing through his veins. His muscles bulged and his reflexes became lightning-fast. The leader had charged at him once again, but this time he could see the leader's sword coming at him. He dodged it and delivered a swift kick to the leader's chest, sending him flying backward.
Steven smiled as he saw the leader of the bandits groaning on the ground. He had used his stats points wisely and gained an advantage over his opponent. He walked over to the leader and pointed his sword at his throat. "Now, you and your men should let the young lady go" he demanded. "Or I'll finish you off right here."
"I Ragnar never back down from a fight" Just then the leader of the bandit Ragnar took out a pill from the sack by the side him and then shoved it into his mouth. An evil aura was emitting from his body as he had grown bigger.
Steven was in shock, as he did not know what to do. Shit, why do I have to get myself in this mess because of a young lady, I should have just ignored her and walked away. Ragnar charged at him faster and stronger than before, swinging his sword down and trying to split Steven's head open, But the attack was stopped by a pair of hook swords.
"I told you not to do anything stupid while I went to lend a carriage from the village head". Well did you get it, because I feel running is the only option we have"; Steven replied. "No, he said I have not done anything good for the village so I guess defeating this guy here should do"
"OK! But look in front of you that Ragnar guy is going in for another swing" Yeah I know so that's why you are going to help me. Elijah answered.
Meanwhile, Ragnar roared with rage as he felt his sword being blocked by Elijah's hook swords. He pushed harder, trying to overpower the young man who dared to stand in his way. "You think you can stop me, you little brat? I'll crush you like a bug!" he shouted, spitting blood from his mouth.
Elijah gritted his teeth as he felt the immense pressure from Ragnar's sword. He knew he couldn't hold him off for long. He glanced at Steven, who was standing behind him with a worried look on his face. "Steven, now's your chance! Go for his legs!" he yelled,
Steven nodded, understanding Elijah's plan. Elijah and Ragnar were clashing swords against each other, he waited for the right moment, then dashed forward, dodging Ragnar's wild swings. He reached Ragnar's side and slashed at his legs with his sword, hoping to cripple him. He felt his blade cut through flesh and bone and heard Ragnar scream in pain.
Ragnar stumbled and fell to the ground, clutching his bleeding legs. He looked up at Steven and Elijah with hatred and fear in his eyes. "You… you bastards… how dare you… I'll kill you… I'll kill you all…" he muttered, reaching for his sword.
Elijah kicked the sword away from Ragnar's hand, then pointed his hook sword at his throat. "It's over, Ragnar. You've lost. Give up now, or we'll finish you off," he said coldly.
Ragnar glared at Elijah, then spat at him. "Never… I'll never give up… I'll never surrender… you can't defeat me… I'm the strongest… I'm the best…" he rambled, refusing to accept his defeat.
Elijah shook his head in disgust. He looked at Steven, who nodded back at him. They both knew what they had to do. They raised their swords and plunged them into Ragnar's chest, ending his life.
[Quest completed]
I just killed a person; Steven thought to himself. His hand was shaking because of what he had just done.
Steven felt a jolt of pain as his sword pierced through the bandit's chest. He saw the bandit's eyes widen in disbelief, then go blank. He heard the bandit's last breath escape his lips, then a thud as his body fell to the ground.
Steven stared at the lifeless body in front of him, feeling a wave of nausea and horror. He had just killed a person. A human being. A living creature.
He felt his hand shaking as he gripped his sword. He felt blood dripping from the blade, staining his clothes and the ground. He felt sweat on his forehead, tears in his eyes, and bile in his throat.
Elijah looked at him with concern and compassion. He knew how Steven felt. He had felt the same way when he had killed his first bandit. He remembered the shock, the guilt, the regret. He remembered how hard it was to accept what he had done, to live with the consequences, to move on.
He walked over to Steven and put his hand on his shoulder. He gave him a reassuring squeeze and a gentle smile. "Hey, Steven, it's okay. You did what you had to do. You saved the young lady's life. You saved the village. You did the right thing," he said softly.
Elijah hugged him, trying to comfort him. "I know, I know. It's hard. It's painful. It's scary. But you will get through this," he said sincerely.
