Having a uncaring uncle and being left alone with books Alana learned alot about, herbs, plants. Her maid Luri would also grow vegetables for the family Camden, she would help Luri do the gardening, she would enjoy all the little things that Luri would tell her. She was the only person in town who didn't see her as a Monster, or wasn't afraid of her. She did love Luri.
'I really wish that Luri was here' Alana thought to herself.
"I understand that my lady came from the warmth of the South, growing food there is no pickel, but here in the North in the Frozen Lands is very hard to grown anything. We survive mostly through hunting, and through buying some vegetables when we go further South."
"However my lady with the Master gone, and the last attacks on our town, buying vegetables will be hard." Said the old lady.
" I see..." Alana was lost in the thought, not that she thought that growing food would be impossible, she saw Luri have very good harvest in cold hard winters, but she needed to also make preparations before starting to grow anything.
"Let's start small then, and see if we can make anything grow. I will need to know the places that get the most sun during the day, and will be able to keep warm during the night."
The two old servants wondered what place of the house that would that be, since they were in the frozen Lands everything was cold even when the sun was out and up in the sky.
The old man looked at his wife and then to the young lady and exclaimed. "Oh yes, even though it's not very warm at night during the day is the only place that picks up the warmth for the whole day. The young master would go there when he was little all the time." Said the old Theodor.
"Ohh, yes the conservatory. He used to love go there and take naps." Said the old servant Clair.
They both took her to the room it was in the last floor of the house it, the little door could not be found if you didn't know it was there it appeared to be a part of the wall. As soon as they opened you could barely see inside, it was a dark hallway with stairs going upwards. Theodor and Clair stayed eagerly outside waiting for the lady to go first. Alana looked at them as they nodded their heads very proudly, and she started to climb up the stairs, as soon as she reached the top she could see a long glass ceiling on top and the sorroundings walls were normal ceiling tiles that covered the room. It wasn't warm enough but Alana thought the view at night must be amazing with the glass ceiling.
'Glass ceiling in a frozen Lands what weird choice.' thought Alana. She was kind of disappointed, it would be better if the whole room was made of glass it would ceiling, it would keep the warmth for longer. "Doesn't the house have a wintergarden? " It was common that manor in colder regions to build a winter garden for accommodating guests during winter or colder days.
"My lady unfortunately it was not used for very long time,it has not the best conditions. And is also not good for receiving guests."
Alana couldn't help but to chuckle, having guest was not even in her list of things to worry about, she didn't even knew anyone that would want to visit her or even talking to her. As far she knew everyone that had met her perceived her as possessed demon or a monster.
