"There's no point in hiding we know you have food in there, there's no use keeping all to yourself." Said one of the town's people
"Yeah what kind of Master are you? Letting your people to starve? " They kept scream at Alana who was still inside of the House.
"We are not bad people we just need you to share the food with us." Yelled another one. They all yelled in agreement.
Alana face darkened, clutching the bow in her hand. Theodor and Clair were speechless for those people action and waited for the lady instructions.
She walked towards the door and open the door aiming her bow.
"I will shot anyone that steps forward."
"So it's going to be like this?" Said the "leader" of the mob. He tried to step forward she shot an arrow closed to his feet, another tried from the side to advance and she quickly shot at him, she didn't aim at anyone only close to their feet.
"Like I said, move and I'll shoot!" She used a very harsh and firm tone.
'Tera I will need you this time I may need to use your power' Even though Tera was brumating she could still use a little of her power.
'If I use Tera's power everyone will be afraid of me, and changing here will have no meaning at all, I just want to live in peace. ' she sighted mentally.
"This is the wife of our master? He died and she already trying to kill us."
"Such shame that's the wife that the master got.."
"Give us food!!" They started yelling demanding.
"Why should I? " Alana scoffed
"Aren't you our masters wife..widow? Shouldn't you take care of his people?"
"So you aknowlegde me as such, but none of you came to greet me, or came to give me your acknowledgement when I arrive! Where was all this upright nature of yours?" They all swallowed in dry, since they didn't made any preparations or even introduced themselves in the weeks she was already there.
Theodor and Clair were old but we're in defence position no matter what they will protect the lady of the house even against their friends.
"I ask again why should I share or give you anything? What did you do to deserve it?"
" We've served your husband with loyalty" said one injuried man stepping out of the crowd but stopping right before the arrow.
"My late husband you mean."
"Be it as it may, we were still loyal."
"Was that loyalty only valid to him? " His face darkened is not that they didn't want to be loyal but they were hungry, very hungry, how long as it been since they have eaten something consistent. Hunting was the only way but they didn't have the strength to fight, they either die fighting or they would starve.
"My lady.." his voice now more humble " what is it you wish of us? Can you see the state that we are?" Anyone could see how weak and pathetic they look, most of them had only bones under their skin, the lucky ones that had more a healthy look, were either injured or were children. There was scarcely any man around. It was really a very pathetic sight.
Alana sighted heavily. "So you wish pity of me, and for me to give everything you ask without getting anything in return? Aren't you ashamed of begging, is that how you show your masters glory?" Even though they were hungry they were proud of their Master, he was someone they loved deeply. Maybe his death was one of the reasons why they all looked so beat down.
"I am no mercenary but by all means I am giving you something without gaining something in return."
"If is loyalty you ask of us..." Alana interromped with a laugh.
"Loyalty? What would that do as soon you'd get hungry again wouldn't you just turn against me? Even if you didn't, wouldn't we just starve ourselves and die in our so called loyalty, how would that be of any good?"
She was not making any sense to them, they were hungry shouldn't she be more merciful.
The injuried man that had stepped up sighted and asked again. " What do you ask of us?"
Alana she dropped her defense stence and put down her bow, taking a deep breath she yelled.
"I want you to make me a proposal. A trade proposal. What can YOU offer me?"
