Chapter 11 - [] Chapter Eleven: now do You magic

Tanvir spat out, "Wait, wait, what did I do wrong!" His face paled as the smile the old man wore was terrifying and gave him chills. Suddenly, the old man's wings and the red aura disappeared. His face became normal, yet the lingering creepy smile still remained. In the next second, he started laughing like an old man again.

"Hahaha brat..I wasn't talking about you, I'm talking about brat..He's been chasing after me for 400 years now. I will be finally able to kill that stinking brat with you here hoho," the old man said.

Before Tanvir could say anything, the old man appeared right in front of him and grabbed his shoulders.

"YES YES U ARE THE gift heaven given me.You will be my ticket to success!!" he exclaimed. His face was a few inches away from Tanvir's. Just looking at his face made him get goosebumps.

"Hey hey..what are you talking about!!!!" Tanvir shouted, as the old man's face was getting closer and closer. It was as if the stinky old man was going to kiss him. Tanvir blocked his face with his two hands.

"Let me go! I won't be a part of whatever twisted plan you have in your mind," he quickly spat out while struggling to stop the incoming kiss.

In the next second, the old man loosened his grip and Tanvir quickly backed away with shadow steps and looked at the old man's face, which was still wearing a smile. Chills ran through Tanvir's veins and the most unforgivable thoughts appeared in his mind.

"Is he a freaking x!!!" he shouted in his mind and the way the old man was looking at him only made it worse.

"No no don't do that to me, I will rather kill myself!!!!" Tanvir made up his mind and quickly unsheathed his katana and, with all his convictions, pointed it at his throat. The thing he hated the most in his past life was that disorder. Who the hell cared about a new life? He would rather die than go through this again.

He closed his eyes, but in the next second, a strong hand grabbed his katana. He despaired.

"Cough cough brat what are you thinking in that stupid mind of yours..I'm not that. Infant the truth is I'm a wo...Just forget it.I'm not that kind of shits, Calm down," the old man muttered while looking away and, strangely, Tanvir could see his cheeks becoming red.

He loosened his grip and Tanvir quickly backed away and pointed his katana at his throat again. Who the hell would believe him after seeing that womanly blush on his face? No one would taint Tanvir Kaizer!

But in the next second, he felt an intense pain on his head. His vision started becoming blurry and he lost his footing and the ground became closer and closer. He lost consciousness.

When he slowly opened his eyes, the pain on his head was still there. He adjusted his eyes and realized there was something in front of him and his hands were tied with transparent fire ropes.

He quickly looked in front and saw a domineering dragon face staring at him. Chills ran through his veins, but he soon realized it was a corpse as there were dozens of them on top of the dragon.

" now do you magic on them"

He turned around to him and looked at the corpse's and sighed as he realized what he was being asked to do. He had no other choice but to accept his task, even though the corpses were still warm and unnerving. He put aside his doubts and focused on the task at hand.

He touched the corpse's white fur and then looked at the old man. He was met with an eerie glow in the old man's eyes. Tanvir nodded and soon the corpse was covered in a blinding light. After a few moments, it disappeared, leaving behind a book and a bottle of liquid which floated towards the old man. A new corpse took its place, as if nothing had happened.

The two items then turned into white particles and entered the old man's body. He closed his eyes and muttered, "Tch, useless." He then looked at Tanvir and said, "You continue your stuff."

Tanvir mustered up some courage and asked, "Ah, ok, but what will I get doing this?"

The old man chuckled and replied, "Don't worry, they won't fall on your head this time. I'm not like those old fossils. I have thousands of corpses in my spital world. I was saving them to buy a Heaven core. Well, hehe, who would have thought I would find an 'Astral Codex' here! You don't have to worry, I won't scam you or make you a slave. I will free you and reward you."

Tanvir sighed and got back to work, his mind filled with thoughts of the cool skills he might acquire. Soon, the other corpse turned into particles. This time, it dropped something: a fine-looking bow and two white bottles. The objects floated towards Tanvir, and the old man said, "You may take those. They are useless to me, as their grades are too low."

The old man's eyes sparkled as Tanvir finally got something. He put the objects aside and then gazed at the worn-out katana not far from them, hovering in the air. It was the weapon Tanvir had found in the cave.

"Really interesting. He didn't destroy it after all," the old man thought aloud. He then looked at Tanvir, who was busy processing the corpses.

"It's really hard to believe. In such a backyard star field, an Astral Codex appeared, and atop of that, it has the highest authority I've seen so far," he said, sighing and shaking his head. "Sigh, I have to clean the red shits. If I want him to grow stronger."

The old man stopped thinking and gazed at the sky. He knew what was behind the white barrier. His gaze became serious as he contemplated the scale of the situation and muttered slowly, "Gaia will activate soon."
