Chapter 24 - C1. Hospital

A gentle and comforting warm light streamed through the closed windows, illuminating my face. As I opened my eyes, the sunlight filtered through, casting a warm glow on the room.

Through the window, I could observe the leaves swaying in the distance, moved by a soft breeze.

Blinking away the brightness, I took a deep breath, fully embracing the sense ambiance.

I woke up facing the right side of the bed, there was a table adorned with a blue lamp. The faint presence of dust particles danced in the air, momentarily exuding a comforting coziness.

Shifting my gaze, I noticed curtains encircling my resting place. Above me, an intricate ceiling with a single source of light greeted my vision. It was then that I realized I was lying in a hospital bed, adorned in hospital attire.

I found myself situated in the furthest corner of the room, ensuring a heightened sense of privacy.

An IV pole stands at the opposite side of the bed, a plastic tube connected from the IV and into a syringe sticked on my right hand. Fluids ran through the tube and into my body. Positioned behind the IV pole were several unused oxygen tanks, poised for immediate utilization.

Suddenly, a door abruptly swung open on the opposite side of the room, accompanied by the sound of approaching footsteps.

"Sir I'm telling you... this is literally just like in the movies."

"It's not real. Zombification, or reincarnation, either one of those is not real. You shouldn't believe in those considering you are a nurse."

"He's supposed to be deceased!"

"Then there must be a misunderstanding with the papers."

"Even so, how are we gonna tell it to him? How are we going to explain this to everyone!?"

"You do the notes, I'll handle the talking"

As I lay in bed, the curtain in front of me was swiftly pulled back, producing a metallic scraping sound as it gathered to the side.

Standing before me was a man with disheveled brown hair, dressed in a blue shirt, brown pants, and a white lab coat, along with brown glasses.

Accompanying him was a nurse in her uniform. With a worried expression on her face she cautiously approached me and began to monitor my IV levels.

"Excuse me-"

"I'm glad you're awake, How are you feeling, Can you talk?" He asked and sighed as he pulled a chair from the right curtain and sat down on my left side.

I pushed myself onto a sitting position.

"Wha- what happened to me, Why am I in a hospital?" I asked.

"You lost consciousness due to fatigue and malnourishment; you've slept for four days straight ever since you have been brought here." He said.

"Tell me, do you remember anything about yourself, do you remember what happened to you before you were brought here, anything that you could think of?" He asked.

I remember I was in a coffin. I got out of it. It was rainy and muddy. I was in a cemetery. There was this girl-

I can't remember anything after that.

Ah, the coffin, my name was written on it.

"I remember, My name is…
