I acquired a significant amount of new information.
Within a short span of time, the cafeteria became noticeably more crowded. The atmosphere was filled with a dynamic blend of voices, as people engaged in lively conversations and the clattering of utensils against plates. The sounds emanating from the kitchen and customers placing their orders at the counter added to the vibrant ambiance.
"You know, I'm surprise your coping well while talking to the supposed dead." I said.
"Don't get me wrong, as much as we're talking normal, I'm still freaking out underneath. I'm just keeping my composure that's all." Katy said.
A small group of kids began playing near us, running around the area and occasionally laughing.
Meanwhile, their parents say on a bench and engaged in conversation. The mother periodically glanced at the children to ensure their safety. One of the kids playfully wielded a plastic toy camera, pointing it at the other children.
This unexpected sight sparked a reminiscence of Katy's interests, causing me to turn my attention towards her.
She gently twirls her fingers through her hair, her gaze fixated on the child. A faint smile slowly graces her face, completely unaware of my observance. Just as I had suspected, the accuracy of the system is undeniable.
"You want to have kids?" I asked humorously.
"Wha! God no! Why would you ask that?!" Katy suddenly got flustered.
"Just kidding. You've been staring at that kid holding a camera"
"it just… reminds me of the things I like." She said.
"You like cameras?" I asked.
I should avoid directly asking the straight question as it may arouse suspicion in her regarding my knowledge.
"Not cameras, its filmmaking" she said.
"You like filmmaking?" I asked
"Used to. In fact I almost had a degree on it-"
Wow, that's impressive.
"What happened?" I asked curiously.
"It's just life, can't afford everything you want even your dreams."
"Well. true, but dreams weren't meant to be bought it's supposed to stay with you." I said sincerely.
"Its different once dreams collide with real life." She stated
"still, don't you think it would be better to have a dream than none?" I asked.
"I do still have it as a dream… but I'm fine with what I have right now" She answered.
"are you really fine with all of this."
"I am" she said affirmingly.
"are you really?" I asked again.
"This is the most I could have Nathan, there's nothing more… nothing more."
"I guess as long as you fine with it. Can't argue with that."
…
"Did you just tried to give an advice for me?" she suddenly asked me.
"Yeh, did it work?" I said.
"hmmm… three out of five" She scored.
"really!? C'mon at least make it four out of five"
"Nope, that was too short, in fact that was corny."
"Really?!"
We both laughed at each other after a few moments.
"Hey can someone raise the volume of the TV" A young man from the crowd shouted, prompting one of the cafeteria staff members to step forward and press a button located behind the flat-looking like television placed on a shelf.
Is this what TV's look like now?
This allowed everyone present to have a clear view. As the volume escalated, it captured the attention of everyone present, prompting us all to turn our gaze towards the broadcasted content simultaneously.
"Yes, Michael, as you can see I am here San Usido and behind me-"
*BANG BANG*
"Sorry, but were have to take cover. Lets go lets go!"
Gunshots reverberated through the air during the live broadcast. The television blared the sound of the gunshots. Albeit with a subpar audio quality.
It caught everyone's attention, causing some to gasp in shock. The reporter and the camera operator hurriedly moved, their footsteps visible as they ran, while the camera shook vigorously, capturing their mad rush to a safer location.
"Ceilia are you there? Are all of you ok?"
"Hello! Hello? Ok! Yeah, We're safe here."
The news pulled up a helicopter shot beside the reporter's perspective. It was a street, dozens of bullets firing from each corner.
"So, just as you have witness. A gang fight is currently happening as of this moment-"
*BANG BANG*
"As we have talked last time, we are certain for sure that one of the gangs are the so called Colded Brothers, infamous of their fame and their certain relationships with a couple of corrupt governors."
"Unfortunately, we couldn't identify whom are the opposing side on this chaos-"
*BANG BANG*
"Right now we are at a safe place, As you can see there are dozens of civilians currently injured right now, a couple are… have passed-" the reporter catched her breath for a moment as the cameraman pans to some bodies lying on the floor.
"Ah they're here, they're here-" A couple of police cars and ambulances pulled up onto the scene.
A group of medical professionals swiftly, move towards the accident site, attending to the injured individuals. Police officers surround the civilians, while csome of them head towards the source of the commotion. A commanding officer loudly communicates with his fellow officers.
"San Usido, that's nearby" Katy said as her eyes stays onto the television.
"do gang wars happen often?" I asked her.
"Not just often, its been getting nearer and nearer to this town. Additionally, the increase of kidnappings have been frequent lately." Katy mentioned.
*SWOOSH*
A sound of rocket came from the television.
"Woah what the hell!"
"Hey isn't that"
"Oh my god!"
The crowd shocked from what they saw.
"They… they… it seems that they have access to RPG's. we gotta get outta here!" the reporter said.
"How did they got that?"
"I don't know"
"maybe they bought it somehow?
The crowd started to speculate.
Out of nowhere, someone we recognized emerged from the group, approaching us with a confident stride. A gentleman with brown glasses hailed us.
"Hey, you guys are here, Nathan come with me." Morgan said.
