Jade woke up early in the morning, happy with her short break. She was greeted by Lucifer in the dining room, waiting for her. With a bright smile, she hugged him. Lucifer chuckles at her sudden show of affection.
"I am so happy. I caught Devlin, and now I can relax." Jade said to her father. Lucifer pulled a chair out of her. Jade thanked him and took her place beside him. Lucifer didn't think Jade and her friends would catch him sooner than he expected, but he wasn't surprised. He had assessed her friends and knew how capable they were.
"I am happy to have you here. It was weeks ago when we were together." Lucifer spoke softly.
"Sorry. I had to go to work." Jade responds guilty. After her mother's death, Lucifer had only her as his family.
"It's fine, kiddo. You don't need to apologize for such minor things." Lucifer responded.
"Thanks, Dad. So what do we do today?"
"Anything you wish for."
