Zebulon reached back into his room disappointed in himself. The look on Jade's face was of betrayal. He isn't sure if she will ever see him again. Zebulon clenched his fist in annoyance.
He felt Jade's presence as she came into his vision. She stepped into his room through the portal the glare on her face. The portal closed behind her and she took steps toward Zebulon standing in front of him. Zebulon gulped.
"Love, I can explain," Zebulon said softly.
"Explain what. You left me there after kissing me. Are you rejecting me?" Jade demands. Zebulon eyes widen realizing she knows he is her mate and the thought of rejection makes him feel pain in his chest. Zebulon realized it was not his pain but Jade's. He quickly shook his head and walked closer to her placing his palm on her cheek. Jade closed her eyes liking the touch of her mate. Her anger calmed down and Zebulon realized it too.
"I would never reject your love." He said softly.
