Chereads / SILENT TEARS (BL) / Chapter 71 - CHAPTER 71

Chapter 71 - CHAPTER 71

It's been three years of our na let me rephrase it as my marriage. Still, Gray is not able to digest the fact that he got married to me. He is dismayed to accept the bloody fact. He is still questioning himself about how everything turned out and how he ended up tying the knot. God knows how many more years he needs to accept the bloody universal truth—we are married.

Whatever, I am happy. After marrying Gray, a few months were horrible. Gray, as usual, was showing a more cold shoulder, like, hell, I would care, but more mocking and taunting were coming from, like, everywhere. I am proud that I solely came over everything without fucking help from the single living species that surrounded me.

I am happily married, better they suck it up, including Gray, and on the other hand, I am not going to give a dam.

The only worst part of my life is that Oliver chose some other country to continue his studies. It was a prestigious one, no doubt, but I still wanted him to stay with us. The sole reason for adopting him was because I didn't want Gray to think of disappearing once again. If he gets any, I want him to drop it, at least for the sake of Oliver. It's been a few days since Oliver left, and this feeling that I had successfully bottled up inside me started to show up.

I have been married, but that doesn't prove anything. I wanted him to bound to stay with me because of something, and it was Oliver. If I didn't screw up everything, then things would be normal, and I would lead a happy married life without any fear of his disappearance. From the time I have returned, one way or another, I have been trapping him. I am compelling him to stay with me. For a few years, I was at peace, but now the same anxiety has started killing me.

I wanted to stop Oliver from going anywhere, but Gray was very happy when he got admission to a prestigious college by clearing the entrance, so I was forced not to act against their wishes. Gray wanted him to grab this opportunity, and like a good kid, he followed Gray's word.

It's been a few days, and anxiety has grabbed its spot. Gray is not over anything, and I am not bloody blaming either. Now and then, his cold shoulder is always irritating, but I am good at suppressing my annoyance. I have committed a mistake, and I know it. How many more years was he going to behave this way? Doesn't he think it was time to move on already? I wanted to yell these words in front of him, and strangely, they always stuck in my throat and dared to come out.

He is happy with whatever he is doing, and I don't give a dam about what it is. He is happily engaged in his work, and that was enough. I wanted him to become something in his life, and I never thought he would choose farming. Like not in my dreams either. I am not criticizing, but this was hard to digest after what he had studied. His happiness matters, and I am okay with any bullshit things he is into. He should just stop giving me cold- shoulders and try to start sucking everything up. I am not asking too much, and it's already been a few years.

My achievements and power are nothing if he is not beside me.

I will introduce him proudly to everyone, especially my business associates and partners. His profession would always be questioned, like their fucking business, and my one glance would be enough to shut their mouth on the spot. I wouldn't let Gray buy those bullshit things ever. He is okay, and I am definitely, and that's it.

It took me years to understand everything, and an incident hit me very hard. Now I know what he meant to me, and I don't want any moron to ruin this, no, never.

Now, I am waiting for Gray to understand everything and come up with a term. He is everything, and he is stuck. Better he sucks up, that's all I am asking.

I was staring at the mirror, formulating my next strategy. What do I have to do this time so that he is compelled once again? Don't tell me my whole life will be spent formulating plans and trapping him. I am leading a pathetic life, geez.

My thoughts were interrupted when the door to my room burst open. Gray was burning, and I swear I didn't do anything, and it doesn't require a genius to guess what the cause of his burning was. That kid, whether he is near or far, will always be the cause.

"How the hell is he driving a bloody expensive car in an unknown country? He is just 15 years old. How the heck did he get a license to ride a car? My biggest question is how the hell he ended up getting a fucking car?"

I sighed. I swear to God if that bastard father of Gray was still alive, I would throw him to the grave alive for raising him so naïve. I started driving at 13, and I was bloody perfect by 14. Oliver started winning a few months ago, and he is going to turn 16 soon. Not a fucking deal, right? Of course, I can't say these words out loud. "Is he? I don't have any idea. How did you get to know?" "There's been a fucking accident, and he was bloody driving." "Major one?" "Wow, unbelievable. How the heck did he get a bloody car? Don't tell me you were fucking bribed for something. He is fucking 15." His bloody age factor. I wanted to tell him that he was going to turn 16 soon, but I held back. I wanted to ask him when the hell he first started driving, and by default, it would be 17 and above, so again, I kept quiet. "Let me talk to him." "You didn't answer my question about how he got an expensive car." "He is a friend with rich kids; maybe he was driving someone else. Let me talk to him." "You know I am not fucking naïve anymore, and he is riding the same car every day to campus. His principle informed me." "I really want to get back on that one, but after speaking with Oliver, Is it okay?" "Right. I am fucking stuck with both of you. Geez, can't you guys take a break at least once in a while? I am fucking tired." He literally shouted those words, and I totally get him, but I can't help it. Let me come back to the sucking word, and I definitely am not going to suggest that now. "Let me talk to him. I think you are getting late." "Nice way of shooing me out." The same way he entered the room, he exited too. Sound is erupting all over.

I dialed Oliver's number. "Can't you stay discreet? I can't keep doing this." "I begged that principal not to call Papa but you. That bastard didn't listen to me." "Watch the bloody words." "Common." "Gray is yelling at me, and he definitely knows I bought you one." "I know you will cover it somehow." "You are stressing me more than Gray. What bloody accident is he talking about, and are you injured or something?" Immediately, laughter erupted from the other end, and I knew I was not good at this. "Cut the bullshit. We both know you don't give a dam about me, and I have sucked it up at a very young age. Just get to the point. Will you? Why are you calling me?" I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Damn, he can't beat me at such a young age. "I am worried." "Ok, go on." "You are gone, and I am worried like hell. Gray is not bound; he may take any decision, right?" I heard a chuckle. "Are you making sense, like seriously? You got married to that guy. What more affirmation do you need other than that? If you had power, I bet you would drag that guy to the grave with you." "That's not a bad idea. I am paranoid, and I can't help it. Why the hell did you choose to study abroad?" "It's a reputed college, and how the hell am I going to take over your company if I am not a bloody genius?" "What makes you think that I will let you run my company?" "I know my way, and I will get it, unlike you. I can't keep reminding you that you can't depend on anyone else other than me. Don't open that big mouth and turn me into your enemy." "Are you done? I am fucking disconnecting the bloody call." "I don't want to repeat my words. Use your old tactic; that's it." "What?" "Adopting. See to it, half of your property is in my name; that's all I am asking." "Oliver, I swear to god." "Fine, fine, don't get pissed off. Try adopting another kid. Problem solved." "Same plan, not going to work again and again." "I believe in you. You damn, get your way around him, and he will give in." "Do you really think so?" "I hate to admit twice the same thing about you. For your satisfaction, yeah, that will work out. Just go for another adoption." "I will think about it." "I really pity Papa, you know." "Be careful with the damn car. It's fucking expensive." "Yeah. Whatever." With that, the cell was disconnected. This kid really got some nerves. I huffed and made my way to the company.

We were in front of the orphanage, and yes, I was shaking, but I was never going to show that in front of Gray. Gray came out of the car, and immediately his hands were on his face. He stayed that way for a few minutes. I slowly came out of the car. Gray started fidgeting with his fingers on the car and doing his best to suppress himself. He was breathing through his nose, and finally, his fist turned into a ball.

I didn't want to hurry and thought of giving him a few more days to see some changes. This bastard is mean like hell, and I couldn't help but drag him over here. In my defense, he provoked me with his attitude. He needs more action than words, and yeah, I can't help it. There was a thud. To gain my attention, Gray hardly hit the car by using his fist. By facing him, I gulp down.

"The same plan will not work, again and again, you fucking moron." "We are here to distribute gifts; that's it." "Don't fucking give that sh*t to me. We both know your fucking intention, and I am fucking not going to fall for it." "Fine. Let's go." "As I said, I am not going to fucking fall for it. Do whatever you want, and don't fucking include me." "Do you want to call the kids outside?" "Are you nuts? Why the hell would you do that?" "If you are not coming inside, then they should come outside, right? Besides, you love spending the time and distributing the gifts." I wanted to add that I am bloody not going to miss this chance, and again, I held back by pouring. "Just leave me alone from whatever you are planning once for all." "Trust me. Distributing and coming back." He was contemplating, and that's how I knew he would give in. God, how the hell am I always getting my way around him? That was my excuse; I started dragging him.

When we visited a few years ago, I thoroughly planned everything, but nothing went accordingly. So, this time I didn't; I wanted to go with the flow. I don't know what result I am going to get at the end of the day, but as usual, I am positive.

I wanted to be content with my life after marrying him. Day by day, he is really making me miserable, and the result is inevitable. No one can blame me. He asked for it.

We were inside and I made my way to the office. After a few minutes of discussing the arrangements for the upcoming event of fund-raising, I joined Garay. Mr. Johan was telling me how children are increasing day by day and how hard they are trying to find a family for them. I was nodding my head and, in return, giving some suggestions.

Meanwhile, I was observing Gray. Who was distributing gifts by asking for their names and everything? He likes this very much; why can't he admit it? Mr. John was going on with everything, but my sole focus was on Gray and his smiling face. A few things were going through my mind, but nothing really was.

While distributing the gifts, two kids approached Gray. One was annoyed, and the other was cheerful. A girl and a boy. If I am not wrong, they are twins, and it captured my full attention. This is what I was asking for. The girl tugged Gray's hand, bickering with him to scoot to her level, and he obliged. "Hi, I am Abby, and he is Addi. We are twins." He was confused and was quite taken aback. Staring at both of them. By clearing his throat, he spoke. "Hi, I am Gray." They were talking about something, and that girl was giggling, and the boy was in the same posture. After a few minutes, the same girl turned toward me, and so did Gray too, and a smug smile appeared on my face. The next second, Gray was in front of me, terrified.

We parked the car in front of the mansion. The car door was slammed using full force. By sighing, I was following Gray. He abruptly stopped his footstep and raised a questioning eyebrow, and I was confused. "Get the fucking kids, you moron." "Common, you know I...." "Now." By nodding my head, I made my way to the car. I hate dam kids.
