Fortunately, Brina was there to faithfully accompany and support Luna in difficult circumstances. If her best friend and her parents left the house together, there would be a risk, the girl reminded Luna.
The threat came from Leah's curiosity. Leah becomes a hunter when she's curious. She had to get answers that made sense to Leah herself. To avoid that, Luna and Brina would leave the house first and wait for Luna's parents at the designated restaurant.
"Hey! Where are you two going?" asked Leah, who was already standing at the door.
Of course Leah could see where her sister and her best friend were going because both of them came out through the main room, where Leah and Joshua were still discussing with the wedding organizer committee.
"To the salon," replied Luna briefly, who hurriedly got into Brina's car.
Leah didn't ask any more questions; in fact, she appeared uninterested and went back inside the house. Considering that there would be a significant event tomorrow, Leah believed what Luna was about to do was normal.
"Like a herder," Brina said as she shook her head, and the two laughed widely.
"Which salon are we going to? Do you want to go to your regular salon?" Brina asked after the car drove off.
"Wait a minute." Luna checked her mobile phone and read the incoming message.
"You know the 'J and J' salon?" asked Luna as she flicked her hair in a flirty manner.
"What? We're going there?" Brina asked back. Her face was surprised, but she was also chuckling. It was a very classy salon, and Luna was getting the next luxury from Galen.
It took twenty minutes to get to the city center, and the car was parked not far from the 'J and J' salon. The two walked lightly into the salon. As soon as the two friends walked into the salon, a young girl with very light pink hair gave them a warm welcome.
"My name is Luna Smith, and I'm..."
"Oh, it's you." The girl cut off Luna's sentence with a big smile. "Follow me, please. Mr. Jared is waiting."
The pink girl approached her friend and spoke to her, to which the friend nodded in agreement. Luna and Brina then followed the pink girl, stepped into the lift, and the three of them went up to the sixth or top floor of the salon building.
After exiting the lift, the two friends were amazed by the luxurious interior decor of the space, which featured a lot of red and gold. There was a red sofa covered in leather. The guest table was made from agarwood tree trunks cut with a special technique and covered with thick glass.
There are many large and medium-sized photographs on display. They were dominated by a man with beautiful make-up and eccentric clothes. There was only one photo that had the largest and most lavish frame, and that was of the groom being carried by the bride—a bit different but unique.
It doesn't appear to be a salon room. Instead, it appeared to be a private room or possibly a place to live.
Brina's mobile phone rang, along with the appearance of a bald man with a pretty face. Brina stepped away to take his call.
Luna was amazed to see a man who truly had good skin and less makeup on; he looked beautiful. His skin was so pale, but that didn't make him look sickly. The man had a bald head, unlike in the pictures.
"Hello," greeted the beautiful man with a distinctive English accent. His smile was genuine, with deep curves at the corners of his lips.
"I'm Jared." Luna greeted the lovely man's offered hand right away.
"Luna Smith."
Jared didn't let go of his handshake. Instead, he paid great attention to Luna's face.
"You really are gorgeous. more in beauty than the woman that Innocent brought the previous time."
Luna's eyebrows arched. She didn't understand who Jared was referring to. Seeing Luna's expression, the beautiful man chuckled.
"Galen and Leah. Your sister, right?"
Luna smiled unpleasantly, and it was understood by Jared, who gently patted the back of her hand and then released her handshake. Jared quickly greeted Brina as she reappeared with warmth.
"Luna, is it okay if you're alone?" asked Brina with a worried look on her face.
"Why, is something wrong?" On her best friend's face, Luna could see the worry.
"My mom's car broke down, and she can't wait for the tow truck. She's not far from here. I'll pick her up. You're okay, right?"
"Just go. I'm fine," Luna replied seriously.
Brina was relieved. She asked Luna to keep her updated and promised to come early tomorrow. Brina left, leaving Luna to be made up alone with the expert.
Jared led Luna to a special room. It was a space that appeared to be reserved for dressing and applying makeup. Luna was taken to a vanity. Jared turned on the lights that were surrounding the mirror. On the dressing table, various make-up supplies were neatly arranged. It was so complete that it made Luna jealous.
Jared busied himself preparing this and that before sitting down next to Luna. He was still looking at Luna's face, exploring the textures, and wondering what kind of make-up would suit the pretty girl with the light honey skin color.
Suddenly, Jared's eyes grew smaller, his face drew close to Luna's, making her feel uneasy, and she turned her head away. But Jared had already placed his hand on Luna's jaw.
"What happened?"
"It fell," Luna lied. She felt bad about telling the truth about what happened to a new person.
"But it doesn't look like it fell."
Luna paused and smiled slightly. She shook her head slightly to get it out of Jared's hands.
"Yes, it fell." Luna kept her answer. "Can you cover it up?"
Jared grinned and nodded slightly. He took the cream and brush to apply a foundation to Luna's face. "No problem. External wounds can always be covered with the right makeup. But dealing with heart wounds must be extremely difficult."
An allusion to Luna lying. Jared tried to understand. The man had heard what happened with Galen from Rendi, and it made Jared both sorry and upset. Jared swiveled Luna's chair, making her sit with her back to the mirror.
"For my first customer, I'm not letting you see the make-up process. Let it be a surprise for you. Okay?" Jared winked one eye, and Luna laughed.
"I heard you went to Columbia." Jared opened the conversation with another topic while still applying makeup.
And then a casual conversation ensued between the two. The sound of light laughter was heard several times between the two. Suddenly, Jared and Luna became close.
"Have you known Galen for a long time?" Luna asked without meaning to.
"I'd like to say a very long time. We went to the same school in junior high school," Jared replied.
"Is Galen really that innocent?"
"Hahaha... just like that. That's why he was fooled by love."
"And his love is Leah?" asked Luna. The girl was still interested in Jared's statement regarding the previous woman Galen had brought, particularly in regards to their relationship.
Jared, who was applying soft color under Luna's eyes, stopped what he was doing. He had just realized that he had blurted it out earlier, even though the matter of Galen and Leah's relationship was not to be told to Luna first.
