Chapter 266 - Chapter 266: Conflict

Not far from Martin's table, Bruce sat alone at a wine table, sipping his beer. Upon spotting the three actors Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon entering, he promptly signaled a waiter nearby.

The waiter approached, and Bruce gestured towards Martin's table, instructing, "Send over a dozen Coca-Colas in glass bottles to that table."

Simultaneously, Bruce retrieved his mobile phone and made a call to two of his bodyguards. They discreetly entered the bar, taking positions at a distance, prepared to intervene if needed.

Bruce then assumed the role of guarding Martin's rear.

The waiter placed the glass bottles of Coke on Bruce's table. Martin acknowledged Bruce with a nod.

Nicholson, ever playful, grabbed one of the Coke bottles, opened it, took a hearty swig, and declared, "Coke Cult, forever! The Cult's leader is a true rascal!"

Leonardo, in a light-hearted mood, grabbed another bottle and raised it, chiming in, "Master, whatever you're planning, we've got your back. If things get dicey, we'll call the police." Nicholson couldn't resist and added, "Or maybe I can help 'em find us."

Martin, holding a bottle of Coke, playfully pointed at the two troublemakers, saying, "I can't believe I'm friends with such troublemakers!"

While they exchanged banter, Matt Damon discreetly pointed to the hall, bringing it to Peter's attention.

Brad pitt turned his gaze towards the direction indicated by Matt and immediately saw Martin sitting under the spotlight. He looked radiant, like a man with a halo, while the portly Leonardo could hardly diminish his presence.

With determination, Brad Pitt asserted, "My cousin raised me!" He walked over to Martin's table first, his head feeling unusually heavy.

Damon and Ben, as part of the Foot Gang, naturally followed Peter.

Nicholson, who was known for his antics, cheered on, "Don't fear them. If they try anything, give it to them. We're backed by the Face Gang and the Coke God Cult!"

Martin watched as Brad Pitt approached, picked up a glass bottle of Coke, and took a casual sip.

Matt Damon, however, seemed wary, giving Brad Pitt a wide berth, hinting at their ongoing competition over roles and Martin's less-than-stellar treatment of Damon's girlfriend or wife.

Brad Pitt chose an adjacent empty table and sat down, glaring across the aisle at Martin. He accused, "You've crossed a line."

Martin, feigning innocence, asked, "You talking about me?" He glanced around and continued, "I don't see any lines I've crossed."

Brad Pitt sat down, flanked by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.

With six people in total, they formed two factions, each sitting on one side of the aisle.

Anger welled up in Brad Pitt as he warned sternly, "Stay away from her!" He was upset, and his words came out harshly.

Martin, knowing that he wasn't dealing with a rational interlocutor, provocatively asked, "Her? Are you talking about Jolie, Aniston, or... both?"

Brad Pitt's frustration caused him to stand up.

Martin wasn't about to back down, and he rose to meet Peter's challenge.

Their exchange drew the attention of the bar's patrons, and Nicholson, with his fondness for theatrics, added fuel to the fire. He encouraged the confrontation, saying, "Let's settle this like men. Whoever backs down loses his pride!"

Leonardo, in his enthusiasm, noted, "One-on-one combat, the most manly approach!"

As a man in his forties, Brad Pitt was no hot-headed youth. He was ready to act but, upon seeing the glass bottle of Coke on Martin's table, he decided to sit down again.

A taunting whistle echoed around the bar.

Martin commented, "When you're all talk, silence suits you better. Soft stuff isn't that your forte."

Brad Pitt, feeling his blood boil, rose again but this time launched himself across the aisle, lashing out at Martin, his face showing his rage. Like a storm, he overwhelmed Martin, his anger erupting like a volcano.

However, Martin was well-prepared. He seized Peter's arm, drawing him closer, delivered a powerful kick to Peter's calf, and pressed down on his neck. With a loud thud, Peter's face landed on the wine table.

Martin took hold of a Coke bottle and pressed it against Peter's forehead. He warned, "I'm sensitive to attacks. I won't hesitate to use Coke bottles on heads. You'd do well not to move." The cold bottle pressed against Peter's forehead served to cool his heated rage.

With the glass bottle on his forehead, Brad Pitt's thoughts wandered, his mind conjuring images from the turbulent days at Burbank Middle School. Bloody and brutal.

Brad Pitt dared not make a move because, in Martin's world, a man struck by a Coke bottle to the head met a grim fate!

Dead!

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, as spectators, quickly observed a new figure by Martin's side.

Bruce had come to Martin's aid, holding a bottle of Coca-Cola in each hand, and stood guard on Martin's side.

Bruce, the staunch protector of the Coke God Cult, was no pushover.

Matt Damon recognized this man from the Burbank Middle School video. He knew that, like Martin, this man was fearless, capable of taking on armed gangsters.

Matt Damon reassured Ben Affleck, urging him to step away. "What are we compared to them?" he pointed out.

Harvey had gone out of his way to help Ben suppress an actress, and Ben knew well the toughness of Martin and his cohorts. He agreed with Damon, saying, "You're absolutely right!"

While Ben and Damon distanced themselves, it became apparent that Brad Pitt was squaring off against Martin, not their uncles or nephews.

Matt Damon attempted to defuse the situation, stating, "Martin, isn't all this fuss unnecessary? It's not a big deal. Maybe we should let Brad Pitt leave first." The commotion had drawn the attention of the bar's security staff, and the manager and his team were hurrying over.

Despite the escalating situation, Martin maintained his stance, insisting, "He attacked me!"

Pitt, consumed by rage, yelled, "You were after my wife!"

Nicholson, ever the troublemaker, couldn't resist correcting him, "Ex-wife, Aniston is now your ex-wife!"

Onlookers were bewildered, wondering what had occurred, especially when it involved America's sweetheart, Jennifer Aniston.

The manager, while not yet on the scene, attempted to mediate with a loud voice, "Everyone, please, let's not resort to violence. If you have issues, please take them outside to resolve." Martin turned to the manager, saying, "I was attacked. If anyone calls the police, please be a witness for me."

Nicholson, the unapologetic troublemaker, waved his phone, declaring, "I have the latest phone with a camera function. The evidence is crystal clear; it could hold up in federal court!"

Martin released Peter and pushed him out of the bar.

Several security personnel swiftly intervened and stood between the two groups.

Peter, rubbing his forehead and red-faced, glared at Martin, then turned and exited the bar.

Damon and Ben followed him.

Outside the bar, Matt Damon advised, "You were too impulsive. No need to fight him head-on."

Ben, offering a sober assessment, said, "You're no match for him."

Brad Pitt, determined but a bit overwhelmed by the situation, asserted, "This isn't over."

Ben Affleck, realizing his earlier statement had been harsh, quickly amended it, saying, "It's better to handle this quietly."

Brad Pitt vigorously rubbed his face, regaining his composure. "I'll have to figure out a way to settle this once and for all. Yes, he'll pay for this."

Damon directed them to his parked car. "Let's go to my place. We can discuss our next steps there."

Inside the bar, Martin and the others exited and boarded the Escalade driven by Bruce.

Leonardo humorously remarked, "I thought you were going to use that Coke bottle to hit Peter's head."

Martin shrugged, "That would have attracted too much attention."

Nicholson, still absorbed in the footage on his phone, remarked, "I'm a pretty good photographer. My wide and close-up shots are spot-on. It's a shame that mobile phone cameras are a bit lacking. It's not crystal clear, but I can still distinguish you and Pete." He teased, "Wow, you were quick, just like Leo's 11 seconds."

Leonardo responded, "Shut up, you scoundrel." However, he was genuinely curious, "You didn't mess with Aniston again, did you? You're quite the ladies' man."

Nicholson, having witnessed numerous scandals over the years, speculated, "You meddled in Jolie and Pitt's relationship, driving them apart. Now Pitt is trying to win his ex-wife back, and you've caused trouble again. You're quite the reprobate."

Martin gave him a cheeky middle finger, saying, "I can't thank you enough."

Leonardo quipped, "I'm genuinely grateful. Let's celebrate. We can find a bunch of supermodels. Anything less than Victoria's Secret angels, and we'll have to mortgage our homes."

Originally, Martin had considered reminding them to try the menthol oil before he left for the night, then later apply it himself. However, after hearing the banter between the two scoundrels, he decided against it. It was, after all, just a contest between scoundrels and perverts, all members of the Face Gang and part of the trio of bastards. He wasn't going to back down from anyone.

Martin gave them a final word of caution, saying, "Tonight's events won't end here. You should be cautious."

Leonardo, excited, exclaimed, "It's been a while since I've done something thrilling."

Nicholson, with a particularly devious smile, remarked, "I detest boredom the most. You won't be able to escape me when there's something this entertaining."

An idea crossed Martin's mind. "Old scoundrel, let me introduce you to a lucrative venture. You can make a lot of money selling the footage you took."

Nicholson pointed at Martin, jesting, "You're up to no good, trying to sell me out."

Leonardo, employing his own vivid imagination, speculated, "I think Martin hasn't won over Aniston yet. He might be planning to cast her as the lead in a new film. When word gets out that Martin Davis, to protect Aniston, got into a fight with Pete out of jealousy, it will create a media frenzy!"

Nicholson maliciously eyed Martin, "You're conspiring against me too!" He added, "No, Martin, when you provoked Pete into action, you took Leo's words into consideration."

Leonardo chimed in, "Good thing you're one of our own."

Martin neither confirmed nor denied the speculations. He simply remarked, "It could fetch a handsome price. Jack, would you sell it? If you don't, I'll snatch your phone and take it."

Nicholson, never one to miss out on a good show, affirmed, "I'll find a top-notch buyer."

Martin signaled to Bruce in the driver's seat, shouting, "Bruce!"

Bruce picked up the phone, dialed a number, hung up quickly, and relayed, "Half an hour, at the west gate of Bel-Air Bay."

Leonardo, thrilled, declared, "Let's go! We're coming with you. I've never witnessed a deal like this before."

Nicholson put on his sunglasses with a grin, asserting, "I'm personally handling the transaction, and none of you are allowed to steal it from me."
