As much as I wanted to go sight seeing, I had to push that idea aside as I need to prepare for the fight against the Stage 3 Warewolf.
The report said that the Warewolf might be related to a member of 'The Holy 7'. The Holy 7 are one of the few Warewolves that can transform at day time. There are all peak Stage 4 Warewolves and three of them can beat an Elite Nether user.
The information about the leader of 'The Den' who is a Stage 0 Warewolf has been hidden from the world, as it is something that would break the peace The Warewolf Hunter Corps and The World Government are trying to keep.
As Warewolf Hunters we only get a rest when there is a full moon. This meens we won't be resting for the next eleven days. Knowing the state of the moon is the same as knowing how important ones life is.
We spend the whole day at the play ground and the most suprizing thing was Ater who was breathing in his energy the whole day. Ater is usually the lazy type and never the one train.
I can tell that Ater is growing, as the not so serious look in his eyes is fading and being replaced with a sharp look. It makes me proud as a big brother who is older than him with only a day, maybe its only by a minute.
Night came and a waxing crescent moon hang over in the sky. We didn't separate like last time and walked though the empty traditional streets. I guese as Warewolf hunters you can only go sight seeing in a lonely night.
We didn't have a clue of where the Warewolf would be so Ater was the one taking the lead. Knox and his clones didn't trust his judgement but I knew he was probably using his Doves to look for the Warewolf's location.
Ater lead us to the central part of City and we arrived at a shrine. We walked through the large wooden torii gates. The interior of the shrine was constructed by stucco walls and red-lacquered woodwork.
I am now begining to think that Ater just brought us here to explore the shrine, I thought he had changed but he is still the same.
We walked for an hour before we reached the summit of the shrine. We were greated by disfigured body parts that lay on the ground. At this point this is no longer a suprise as it was a Warewolf's nature to mess up with hamans in this manner.
We stayed silent as we walked through the corpes and we saw a monk in yellow monk clothing sitting cross legged in the middle. He had an emotionless face as his green eyes were glaring at us.
He had an average physic, with white fair skin and the head of a wolf. He seemed to have shaved all the fur on his body. He looked clean dispite being around blooded corpes.
"You must have had it easy, let this monk send you to Nirvana, Amitaba."
His arrogant voice was even more suffocating than his face. He doesn't know a shit about what we have been through and here he is telling us we had it easy.
None of us said anything as the monk Warewolf stood up. I can't believe Ater took that in, without sending a bullshit reply.
When the monk stood up, blood started gathering in his palms and a red monk's staff materialized. He must have the same Nether ability as me but why did he have to make a weapon from his gift.
I took out my golden spear and Ater took out a new rapier with a black blade and a dark blue handle. Knox made two new clones and transformed into his Wolf man state.
"The two who have no presence in the grace of the Budda and hold such nasty weapons. I will end you first, Amitaba."
The monk's words were slow but carried on a lot of malevolence. He must had been a really devoted monk before he was turned into a Warewolf.
The monk took one step and vanished, before appearing in front of Ater with a thrust that sent him to the stone pillars. He appeared infront of me with another thrust as I stared at where Ater had been fallen to.
The thrust was so fast that I couldn't react and it took me flying towards the stone pillars. I coughed up a mouthful of blood and looked at Ater who stood up while holding his rapier, with blood on his lips.
The bastard really has changed if it was the old him, he would have stayed on the ground and let Knox fight as he cooked up something that would insure his safetly the most.
I could fill my blood pumping and I knew I couldn't lose to myself proclaimed little brother can I. Ater is probably feeliing loads of pain from that attack. I can't feel pain so I am on a better ground than him.
I gripped my spear and stood up and locked my eyes on the Warewolf monk who had returned to his original position. I then looked at Ater who was also looking at me.
We noded at each other and both charged at the Warewolf monk. I guese we feel more alive when we face something that kills us.
Clank...
A metallic sound was released when we clashed our weapons at the Warewolf's blood staff. I couldn't be suprized at how it made its blood staff strong as metal as I threw in another attack.
The monk blocked it again and Knox and his clones joined in the battle. The Warewolf was doing nothing but blocking our attacks no matter how simultaneous our attacks were.
We continued to send attacks at the Warewolf and we could see the difference in strength as the Warewolf never moves an inch from its position.
Suddenly a red light started to cover the monks skin and the ten of us were pushed back. I can't feel pain but I can still feel heat. The light that puched us back was boiling hot.
The monk didn't waste a single moment as it charged at me and swing his staff and hit me on my arm sending me crashing to the walls.
The Warewolf changed his staff into a blood scythe and changed towards one of Knox clones . The monk made a wide arc that chopped of the head of the clone.
The clone's body fell to the ground and its blood started to evaporate. The monk didn't mind the clone and charge at the other clones.
Swish...
The Warewolf had taken down two other clone quickly. I got myself out of the cracked walls and looked at Ater who seemed to be thinking the same thing as me.
The ability the monk used is [Blood boil] used by a warewolf in 'The Holy 7' who is one of Ater's favorite character.
[Blood boil- A Nether ability that allow one to increase the temperature of any blood the user cames into contact with. The blood can be changed in shape depending on the Nether used.]
I know the trouble that awaits us at the death of that monk Warewolf, but I still charged at him. Lets worry about the future later.
I turned my arms into wood and shot replica spears at the monk. The replica spears turned into dust. Ater shot two ice arrows that were shattered into a million piece by a single wave from the monk.
The monk then changed its target from Knox and his clones to Ater. I couldn't properly see it movements when it charged at Ater.
Clang...
Ater managed to block the attack at the nick of time, but was sent flying to the stone pillars.
Cough..cough...cough
Ater coughed up a mountain of blood and could only fall to the cold ground. The Warewolf then charged at me.
boom...
Ater shoot an explosion rune inchanted bullet toward the arm that was holding the scythe. I was thankful towards Ater as the scythe was an inch away from my neck.
I spinned my spear directed at the monk's neck. The Warewolf showed an other worldly agility as it bent its neck to dodge and kicked me at the shoulder directed to were Ater was.
I was cought by Ater who forced a golden healing potion in my mouth. I could see that Ater had already taken one for himself as he looked better that the last time I glanced at him.
The Warewolf charged at us and Ater shoot explosion bullets from his Glock 19 towards it. Ater probably knew the Warewolf would dodge so his bullets were aimed at the ground.
The ground shock as explosions roared through out the shrine. I was able to heal some of my injuries and gripped my spear.
"Hey Ater lets kill this guy before he eats the 'Moon Gold' "
Ater noded and stopped shooting and hold his rapier. I looked towards Knox and his clones and noded. The seven of us charged at the Warewolf as we need to kill it fast before it gets a boost.
