Ingrid sighed as she took her steps. "After tonight, what will happen?" she pondered. "I don't wish to be entangled in their matters. With Sylvania's power struggles... spending the rest of my life in the Lily Palace would be a much happier choice."
"Your Highness," Caym trailed closely behind Ingrid as she moved away.
"Yes, Grand Commander," Ingrid replied without looking back.
"I fail to comprehend why you have mentioned the Crown Princess wrath, but—"
Ingrid quickly turned and hushed Caym with a finger to his lips. Her gentle blue eyes widened in surprise as she whispered, "W-what wrath? I did not say anything?"
Caym glanced down at Ingrid, raising an eyebrow. The princess stood a foot shorter than him, her body just inches away from his. "Hmm. Is she not bothered by this proximity?" he wondered.
Glancing around the hallway with caution, Ingrid slowly lowered her hands and sighed.
