Nina was barely able to pull her eyes open as she looked towards the man before her. Her eyes widened in horror as she caught sight of his glowing red eyes.
She looked around to realize that she was still
At the border. "Good you are Wake. I fed you some of my blood to get your strength." He said to her coldly. She reached out her hand to touch her lips and she didn't miss the metallic taste of blood that she had met with.
"Thank you." She said to him in a raspy voice. He sighed as he bared his long canines. "Well, it wasn't to save your life; it was so that I could prolong your death and pull information out of you." He said to her and she watched as he took a step closer to her.
"Now I ask you again, what are you doing here? Tell me before I slice your tongue and get the information off of your bleeding corpse". He growled as she watched him pull out his claws. She whimpered as she pressed her body further against the metal fence of the pack.
"I don't know how I got here. I swear. I was dead and now I am not". She said to him in a whisper and she knew that her words would only serve to aggravate him further. After all, they made no sense, not even to her ears.
She watched as he sniffed the air before he pulled her up by her dress. His claws digging into the fabric as she heard the sound of a rough tear. "You are a wolf. No wolves can make it past the magical barrier. None ever dared. So tell me now who you are. Or what are you and how did you get here?" He said to her.
She closed her eyes shut as she felt her body begin to tremble. This couldn't be real. It couldn't, as she hoped that this would come to an end soon enough." She waited for him to rip out her throat, but as he continued to breathe heavily, Sue watched as he stilled.
She pulled her eyes open and she watched as he focused his gaze on the Crescent mark on her shoulder blade. She silently prayed that he wouldn't recognize it and that by some miracle he wouldn't know what it meant, but she knew all that.
That was nothing more than wishful thinking.
Something akin to horror passed through his eyes at first as he dropped her on to the ground. "The prophecy." He whispered as he ran a hand through
His hair. "You are one of those wolves. Those beasts that hunted us down for centuries. Those same ones that forced us to hide in sanctuary. I must give you credit for having become smarter. Is that why they sent you here? To poison is. You will not be taking us down. Our days of whimpering at the sight of your wolves were over and he spat at her loudly.
She feared as he felt his body shudder at the very thought of it as he growled. He didn't know how to feel at that moment but he knew that it was something that was bad. She watched as he left.
Out a loud whistling tune from his mouth as she watched as several other wolves made their way out from behind him. He lifted her up into the air, throwing her over his shoulder then.
"You will have a wonderful time here, that I assure you. At least I will have a wonderful time and once I have broken you enough I will feed you to the wolves. Ghost is if Alpha leaves anything behind." He said to her and she heard the others chuckle loudly from behind him.
She feared who this alpha was and what he would want from her. "Where are you taking me?" She managed to say. "To the dungeons." He said to her coldly.
"Don't worry, we have a special home for you". He said to her. She gulped as she felt tears well up in her eyes. She couldn't die like this. Not after she had just gotten a new chance at life. She wouldn't allow this to be the end of her.
Christopher had tricked her and she had been a fool for being able to play along with him, but she was done playing such games. She wouldn't allow that to continue to happen to her now. She had to fight back so that she could get her revenge on him.
Her heart was blank as her stare turned cold. When she returned to him she would hold with her a vengeance so great that it would shake the very foundation of Christopher's pack and she wouldn't rest until his blood coated her fangs.
She was jolted out of her thoughts when she heard the sound of a heavy foot being grown open. She was ready to face whatever challenge was ahead of her. She had seen a lot recently and she no longer held any trepidation.
She heard the sound of a cell door being cracked open as she was forced inside. She was thrown onto the ground as her back arched when he hit something hard.
She turned towards him with a deep glare in her face but he didn't seem to notice as he winked at her. She was ready to charge towards him when she watched as he bared his teeth at her before he wagged his finger in front of her face and shook his head.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you. You have to be a bit more careful. Don't want to have to rough you up too much before the Alpha sees you, he said to her, and she watched as he reached for a set of silver cuffs and secured them to her wrists. She winced in pain slightly as she looked down at the restraints.
"There you go now. I know you can't go anywhere." He said to her. Instead of answering him, she bared her teeth at her as she tried to reach for him. She was feral and ruthless and a symphony of a woman scorned.
She watched as he didn't seem to be that much affected by her antics. Instead, he carried what appeared to be an amused smirk on his face as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"I will let you know when he returns." He said to her coldly. She watched as he closed the cell door shut and the last thing she saw was the sight of his figure retreating. She could hear the sound of his footsteps echoing up the stairs.
They would try to break her, that was certain, but what they were aware of was the fact that she had been broken one too many times already.
She had been in the cells already for the past two days and she could feel herself slipping further and further into her own mind and into her lucid thoughts. She hadn't had an ounce of water or anything to eat in two days and she didn't know how much longer she would be able to last. Maybe if she died this time she would be born in a nicer place.
She thought to herself bitterly. She could feel herself slowly slipping away until she froze at the sound of the heavy doors being pulled open. She froze as she inhaled a heavenly scent of burnt wood and oak trees.
She heard a loud growl that shook the cell break free from the man's lips as he broke the words that made her knees weak.
"Mate."
