Chereads / HER REVENGE ON THE ALPHA / Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Nina thought the universe was cruel. It had a funny way of playing tricks on her and it was used to making her its punching bag. She had a mate already; it was the same man that had ripped her heart from her chest and betrayed her. The last thing that she needed was another.

"Look are." She heard the gruff voice say and she kept her eyes trained on the dirt floor. He felt someone yank on her chains as she was forced to look up and she let out a loud cry from her lips. "When the Alpha asks you to do something you do it without asking questions." She heard the man that had captured her say.

She couldn't help but chuckle bitterly. It was funny how she had ended up with another alpha as her mate. But this was much worse because this man was a wolf. She could tell from the energy that radiated from him. It had her weak in the knees and it demanded that she bared her neck at him and submitted.

She slowly lifted up her gaze to look at him, from his broad shoulders and his muscular arms up to his brunette hair and then to those vibrant yellow eyes. She gasped as she pressed her body against the wall.

It was almost scary how much he resembled Christopher. From his filly jaw and chiseled chin to the way his forehead wrinkled with the frown that married his face. But in other ways, he was very different to him. He had bulging arms and hair that covered most of his arms.

He was at least a foot taller than Christopher too and she could tell this man had the ability to break her in ways Christopher never could. She gulped as she met his face and she watched as those yellow irises swirled with a foreign temptation.

And although every part of her wanted to submit, she was too stubborn to back down. She watched as he pulled away. He gave her a small smirk before turning towards the man behind him. "What is she in here for?" He asked him.

She watched as he sighed before taking a step towards her. She bared her teeth at him as she let

Out a growl as she snapped her jaw at him. She watched as fear came over his features as he took a step back. She knew the reason why. Wolves like her had a bite that could kill any Lycan.

"Why did you stop?" The gruff voice said. "She was planning on killing me." He said and she couldn't help but chuckle at how pathetic he sounded. She watched as the Alpha sighed before he crouched down to her level.

"Fine. I will do it myself". He said to her and she still kept her stoic expression. But he only raised an eyebrow at her . She didn't know what it was that his expression was. Whether it was confidence or sheer stupidity.

But before she could react, she watched as he reached out and grabbed hold of her jaw. It was slammed shut, making her taste her own blood as he used his other hand to pull the shoulder of her dress.

She thrashed around in his hold as she tried to free her restrained hands, but he continued to stare at her mark with an unreadable expression on his face. After a moment, he slowly pulled away from her as he scowled at her.

"You know it's rare that wolves are found anywhere near our border. With good reason, in fact, and reasons, we use them for sport, but you see something else. I think I could just keep you" he said to her, with a smirk on his face.

What are you going to do to me you monster"? She yelled and she watched as he tensed before he moved away from her a moment later. Her eyes widened as her mouth dried as she watched him begin to pull open the buttons of his shirt.

"What are you doing?" She asked him shakily. She watched as he laughed before pulling his shirt to the side and showing her his back. She caught sight of two long claw marks that ran along it.

She gasped at the sight as her hands trembled and her eyes watered. "You think I am a monster. At least that is what you call me, but you are foolish. Your wolves are real monsters. We were hunted down to near extinction. And then, as though the goddess was even more hateful to our kind as she created your pack. A group of wolves that were capable of destroying my people with a single bite. I am not the monster here. I am simply a man with a duty to kill whoever I see as a threat. And darling, you are the biggest threat here." he said to her firmly.

She was quiet at first as she stared at him and for a moment she felt her eyes water. She didn't know what to say to him and though she wanted to tell him it wasn't true, she knew that the wolves could be wicked as they had ruined her life as well.

"You won't have to worry about me." She said to him in a dead tone. She watched as he raised a brow at her. "And why is that? Have you suddenly grown a conscience?" He asked her in a mocking tone.

"No, because everyone is dead. He killed them all."

She yelled as she felt her tears run down her cheeks. The images of that saying replayed in her mind as she felt the anger she had built up flood to the surface.

She watched as his expression changed before he reached down and wiped the tear from her face, turning her up to look at him. "Well mate, then it seems that you are the only one left. I won't kill you yet. Not until I have torn you apart And seen what makes you special, And once you cling onto that last thread of hope, I will tear that apart as well. You will wish that you had never set foot on this land and you would wish you were dead." He promised. Her body shuddered at his words, but what he didn't know was that she was already dead.

He stood back up as he turned toward the other guard. "Sam. I want you to break her in. She is still too strong. Don't stop until she stops resisting and uses whatever measures you must and do whatever it takes." He said and she watched as he walked off.

"Yes Alpha," Sam said with a smirk. She scurried back against the wall as she watched him step into the cell and slam himself behind him. He pulled out a whip and she watched as it zapped with jolts of electricity before he pulled a butcher of water from behind his back.

She didn't have time to register what was going on as he drowned her in the cold water, causing her body to shiver as she shut her eyes tightly. Soon after, she cried out in pain as the whip slashed against her skin, causing a sharp pain to erupt in her arm.

It continued that way for an hour as she begged for him to stop until no words could leave her lips. She could feel herself slowly slipping from reality.

But instead of darkness, what she had met was a bright white light as a heavenly voice called out to her.

"You are strong, don't let him break you."
