Azrael and Corwin finally reached the graveyard mentioned by Casper, their surroundings shrouded in an eerie silence.
Glancing around, Corwin muttered, "There's no one here. Just like last time."
Azrael's eyebrows furrowed slightly as he narrowed his gaze at the path ahead. He took a tentative step forward, hands in his pockets.
His eyes scanned the graves with a keen, analytical eye, prompting Corwin to inquire, "What are you -"
But before Corwin could finish his sentence, Azrael abruptly grabbed him by his sleeve, yanking him towards himself so forcefully that it startled Corwin into letting out an uncharacteristic squeak.
The cobblestone beneath them cracked with an invisible impact, and a cloud of dirt rose into the air as a few pebbles rolled down toward Corwin's feet. Stunned for a moment, Corwin watched as the dirt settled, revealing glowing crimson eyes within the mist.
