After my eventful dream, I couldn't resist the urge to act on it. With a newfound vigor, I hopped out of bed, walked over to my study desk, and grabbed a bunch of A3-sized papers.
The vision of the map I'd seen in my dream was still crystal clear in my mind. I had to get it down on paper before any details faded away.
For the next three hours, I meticulously drew out the entire map, every mountain range, every forest, and every river, just as I'd seen it in my dream.
The clock on the wall slowly ticked away, but I was too engrossed in my work to notice. By the time I finished, it was 8 a.m.
With the map spread out before me, I couldn't help but marvel at it. It was like a piece of the novel's world had been transplanted into my reality.
This wasn't just any map; it was a guide, a treasure trove of information that could prove invaluable in the days to come.
I decided to take a break from my newfound cartography skills and headed to my opulent bathroom. A cold shower was exactly what I needed to shake off the lingering drowsiness. The shock of cold water jolted me awake, and I quickly dressed in casual attire.
When I descended the grand staircase, I found my family already seated at the breakfast table, ready to start their day. Ethan was in his school uniform, looking all prim and proper, while Rebecca and Benjamin were dressed in their respective work attires.
I greeted them with a smile and heartily said
"Good morning."
In response, each of them smiled back and reciprocated the greeting. Their expressions held a mix of relief and concern as if they were afraid to leave me alone after everything that had happened.
Rebecca, the ever-considerate mother, spoke up, her voice soft and reassuring.
"No need to burden yourself, dear. I've applied for sick leave for you for the next week."
Benjamin, the awkward father, chimed in.
"You can sleep till 12 if you want."
Their thoughtfulness touched me, and I nodded my appreciation. Breakfast arrived, and I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow as it was served by actual maids, dressed in those traditional maid uniforms you see in movies. It was like living in a surreal dream.
We ate a sumptuous meal while engaging in light conversation. It was clear that they had something urgent to attend to at work, but they didn't want to leave me alone so soon after my ordeal.
Ethan, however, had no choice but to head to school, as it had strict standards for attendance.
After they left, I returned to my room to chart out my plans for the next few weeks. The room was impressive, but I needed to focus on my upcoming challenges. Before I could dive into my preparations, though, I decided to check my account balance.
To my surprise and elation, there was a whopping 23 million rubies in my account.
In my previous world's standards,
a rubie was equivalent to a dollar.
Leaving the financial revelations aside, I outlined my extensive study plan for the upcoming months. The entrance exam for the First Academy covered five subjects:
Physics,
Alchemy,
Mana Principles,
Mathematics, and
Chemistry.
It was a daunting list, but I was determined to tackle it head-on.
I planned to spend the first two weeks revisiting the basics of each subject before diving into more advanced topics. But that was just one aspect of my preparations.
The world I now inhabited was fraught with danger, and physical strength was just as important as academic knowledge. I needed to train my body to survive the trials ahead.
As I organized my study materials and set my goals, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement.
For the next weeks, my routine became a well-oiled machine. Mornings were dedicated to slight physical training, like jogs, pushups, etc.
Afternoons and evenings were spent buried in textbooks and scrolls, absorbing every nugget of knowledge I could find.
Since I could not yet sense or manipulate mana, I put it aside for now and focussed on the theoretical aspect.
Rebecca, ever the attentive mother, made sure I had nutritious meals and plenty of rest. She often checked in on my progress, her eyes filled with a mix of pride, worry, and sadness.

REBECCA's POV
*sigh*
Watching Lucian from a distance, I couldn't help but feel a mixture of emotions. The young child who had once been on the brink of despair had transformed before my eyes.
Seeing the once lazy child dedicated to his studies from morning to night left me puzzled
'What has ignited the determination in my son's eyes ?'
Rebecca thought listening to Henry's daily report about Lucian's routine.
After Lucian's failed Suicide attempt, Benjamin and Rebecca had decided to put a close watch on their son's routine in case he tried to harm himself once again.
But far from their expectations, their once despairing child had found an unknown determination and devoted himself to his studies again.
it had been 5 days since he started studying, and he had been continuous about it.
Even Ethan was surprised by his determination.
'I hope he continues like this'
Although worried about the change in her son, Rebecca welcomed the change with open hands as it was better than falling into despair because of 'that reason'.
It's just that...
*Sigh*
'He hasn't called us Mom and Dad since the memory loss'
Rebecca sighed and thought.
