Around 1000 years ago,
This world shook, plunged into chaos. It was a time when earthquakes rattled the very core of the Earth, and the skies danced with brilliant auroras.
As if these natural upheavals weren't enough, strange circular distortions began appearing all over the world, unleashing hordes of fantastical creatures—slimes, goblins, orcs, and more. The world transformed into a purgatory of mythical nightmares.
At first, Humanity fought back with the advanced technology they'd honed over centuries. However, their weapons proved futile as creatures with hides tougher than steel emerged.
While Humanity was going through peril, changes also started happening again, Mana, a mysterious energy, began to permeate the environment, and humans adapted to it.
Awakeners, individuals who could harness mana's power, emerged worldwide. These first Awakeners, known as 'The First Awakeners,' brought humanity back from the brink of extinction with their superhuman strength and control over mana.
Although the disaster had been averted, humanity was left scarred. The population had dwindled by 70%, and all the scientific advancements seemed obsolete in the face of mana's might, humanity had to start from scratch again,
The people of our time refer to this cataclysmic event as the 'First Apocalypse.'
In this grim era, a glimmer of hope emerged—The Status, a mysterious screen that offered guidance to Awakeners
at first, there were about 0.1% awakeners all around the world, with time the number of awakeners rose, and now about 5% of the population, although barely any of them can reach the First awakeners level.
The first awakeners could almost all control mana to a frightening degree, but nowadays only 10-20% of the awakeners can control mana without the assistance of the system, although people nowadays do not mind that so much, knowing the future I did not want to be fully dependent on the system.
Returning to my room and closing the door I stared at the slim book in my hand, 'Arcane mana control' written on it. this book was an art book, art books were books written by awakeners who had perfectly mastered their art to a perfect degree.
there were two ways to obtain an art, Either obtain the art stone in the cracks or read an art book.
I opened the book and started reading it, Although the text was filled with incomprehensible symbols, I studied each word earnestly, halfway through my head began to hurt and the book began to glow, although my head was hurting as if a hammer was being constantly pounded on it, I still smiled as I started to faint.
.
.
.
When I awoke, I reached for my phone and realized that 13 hours had passed. My body ached as though I'd been through a wrestling match with a herd of angry bulls.
"ugh..."
smelling my body which smelled like horse shit, I stood up and shot into the bathroom and took a cold shower, after which I prepared to soak in the hot water of the bathtub.
*splash*
soaking in the hot tub water, I muttered under my breath
"Status"
*whoooommmmm*

looking at the 'Arcane mana control' in my status I smiled, although it may not look much useful right now its potential is exponential, and its true worth will come forth as it grows.
this art also molded my body and removed all the waste for future growth.
"Now....."
I muttered as I tried to sense the mana in my body, and I witnessed strange white energy circulating inside my body, as I tried to control the mana, which I somehow knew how to after getting the art, it started to move according to my wishes, I accumulated the mana inside my eyes and the white mana flowed towards my eyes,
"whoaaa...."
Then I opened my eyes to witness a whole different world, several light orbs of different colors were floating in the air, giving the world a mystic feeling.
"ow!"
as I was admiring this phenomenon, pain shot up in my eyes as I forcefully shut them,
'looks like 40 seconds is the limit'
I thought lightly massaging my eyes.
A satisfied smile appeared on my face, as I got out of the bathtub.
'now, time to complete my 'real' work'
wearing my clothes, I thought.
Next, I left the hotel and went around Valeris looking for smithies,
As I came across a rather large one I went inside,
*ding*
"Welcome!, may I ask what you are looking for?"
As soon as I entered I was greeted in the face by a beautiful woman smiling,
"I am looking for a decent longsword"
I replied while looking at her,
"Sure, please go to section 4 on the first floor"
she still smiling, told me, following which I arrived at the longsword section,
After browsing around and looking at various swords that were in my price range I picked up a decently sharp-looking sword,
=============
Thornblade
A rather sharp sword made in the Briar smithy
=============
Price = 12M rubies
'12 million huh.....'
looking at the longsword I contemplated for a second and decided to buy this sword.
.
.
.
"Thanks for your purchase!"
Exiting the smithies I looked at the sword in my hand, smiling slightly.
'It's time to return home'
