Arthur hid behind some small bushes, watching the road in front of him, While waiting for a convoy to cross
Kaido's henchman was checking his surroundings and keeping an eye on the other bandits.
Their actions were so professional that they hid separately, forming a semi-circle around the road, Some climbed up high trees and hid behind their branches, some dug small holes in the ground and buried themselves in them.
Steps!
When Arthur was contemplating the actions of the bandits, he heard a faint sound of a set of steps coming from afar, The sound of footsteps Rose little by little until a convoy of dozens of armed men appeared, who surrounded two ox-drawn carts.
'There aren't any Smile fruit users among the convoy guards, they're all just ordinary soldiers,' Arthur felt a little puzzled.
It looks like Caesar Clown didn't make the Smile fruit, or maybe it's still an initial product, so it hasn't been passed on to followers yet. This is very good, Kaido's military strength is weak compared to what I saw in the anime.' Arthur is unaware that due to his actions on the remote island he has made Kaido delay for a few more years in making Smile fruits.
The blueprints stolen by Kaido's henchmen carried inside them all the information that Dr. Vegapunk had collected about the devil's fruit,
But now they have lost those blueprints, which has made Caesar Clown completely dependent on himself to design the Smile fruits.
Arthur turned around and found that all the bandits had taken a fighting pose and were ready to pounce on the convoy at any moment.
'It's time to act.' With a small ironic smile Arthur suppressed his laugh, changed his expressions and made himself look a little scared.
Above the branch of a giant tree sat a strange man while he watched Arthur with a sullen expression, But immediately after seeing Arthur's tense and anxious actions, he felt some relief, but he did not lower his guard and continued watching Arthur.
This bastard Ashura is so wary of me that he assigned someone to watch me. Heeh, I'll play with him a little and we'll see what happens.' Arthur suppressed his laugh with difficulty and continued to behave in a tense manner.
Some a few seconds he heard a loud voice shouting:
" Attack "
Arthur clumsily jumped out of his hiding and ran towards the convoy, in the face of which fear appeared in the guards.
The guards of the convoy did not think about fighting the bandits, One of them slapped the Bulls and ordered the guards to run quickly away from the ambush. The Bulls ran fast which made some of the supply boxes fall down.
Fall!fall!
Crash!
Suddenly some trees fell and blocked the escape route. Everyone stopped running but one of the supply wagons didn't stop and the bull pulling it collided with one of the trees. One of the sharp stumps got into the bull's chest in a violent bloody spectacle.
The bull's blood splattered the ground as he began to purr painfully and struggled to stay alive but as the branch moved further into his body and made his injury worse, the supply wagon he was pulling overturned and thrown to the side.
Moooo!
Moooo!
Kaido's henchmen stood in a defensive formation while the bandits surrounded them from all sides. The forest was silent and the only sound everyone heard was the sound of the bull struggling painfully.
Arthur claimed to be affected by the previous bloody scene and was looking around nervously and watching, Without warning, one of the bandits ran towards one of Kaido's followers and began to fight him, As soon as the first two swords touched, everyone set off and the quiet forest became a bloody battlefield.
Swords rumbled and sparks flew everywhere, Arthur stood rigid in place as his body trembled, he looked around and saw swords sticking into the flesh, hands and legs flying, and the forest filled with howls of pain.
Blood dyed the ground red while a few men fell and there was a blank look in their faces, amidst this chaos Arthur remained standing in place while bowing his head, and every now and then someone would glare at him with a fierce gaze.
Everyone who looked at Arthur thought he was scared by the atmosphere of the bloody battle, but in fact Arthur was trembling with excitement, the bloody sight in front of him made his bloodthirstiness rise crazily as he struggled not to spoil his acting.
After a few seconds Arthur regained his composure and quickly turned to look next to him to find one of Kaido's henchmen running towards him while holding a blood-stained sword in his hand.
Sooush!
The man quickly cut at Arthur, Arthur kept his composure and stepped back but tripped and fell to the ground, his tripping was something artificial, he doesn't want to show his fighting strength to the man watching him, if Arthur fights with all his might he is sure he can kill half of those present in this battle.
The man stuck his sword into the stretched Arthur in the ground, Arthur acted quickly and rolled, dodging the sword, and then with a random blow he sent his sword and hit the man in the wrist.
Arthur jumped up quickly and ran away from the man who pulled his sword from the ground, Arthur ran stumbling while dodging other people fighting, every now and then dodging random attacks coming towards him.
Arthur continued to run and dodge the attacks until he found that the bloody battle was coming to an end, most of Kaido's followers fell while the rest escaped, the bandits side did not give up so that a large number of them died.
The battle was over and the bandits took some time to regain their composure before starting to collect the spoils of the battle, one of them went towards the bull, which was still moaning in pain, and stabbed him in the head to relieve him of his pain.
Arthur stood in the middle of the ground full of corpses and watched the bandits as they plundered the corpses, taking weapons, money and even clothes, leaving nothing they could use.
"Do you regret joining us?"
While Arthur was looking around, he felt a hand touching his shoulder, he turned around to find a man in his late forties with a wrinkled face standing behind him and observing his surroundings, this person was the same person who had been watching Arthur throughout the process.
The man's name was Yamada and he was the right-hand man of Ashura Doge and one of the strongest samurai on the side of bandits.
Arthur turned his head, looked around and said:
"No, I don't regret, these people deserve to die, but even so, when I saw them die, I couldn't bear the sight."
The old man was silent for a few seconds before he said:
" You'll get used to it."
The old man left and left Arthur, who showed an expression of loss on his face, at last sighed and turned to help the other bandits.
Arthur has lived, faced dozens of bloody situations and was tortured to the point of insanity, so a battle like this was something ordinary for him, and because of this he had difficulty showing the kind of perfect expression in such a situation.
'Most likely my actions did not convince that old man and he will tell Ashura that there is something wrong with me,' Arthur sighed silently as he collected the scattered provisions on the ground.
He was not worried about Ashura's doubts because he had another idea that would eventually achieve his end.
Inside the Bandit headquarters, Ashura sat in his tent while old Yamada, who wore a warm expression on his face, sat next to him.
"So what do you think," Ashura asked as a serious expression appeared on his face.
"He's hiding something, a lot of his actions were artificial, although his fighting skills are not that good, I'm sure he's able to kill his enemies, but he preferred to run away rather than fight," the old Yamada spoke in a relaxed manner.
Ashura's expression changed and he looked displeased because of what he heard, some few seconds of reflection he asked:
"Is it a problem for him to join us?"
"No, there's no problem, even if he wants to cause trouble, he's too weak to lead any of us directly, and we're watching him well so that he doesn't carry out any stupid schemes against us, let's keep up with him and see what that demonic boy wants to do." a slightly evil expression appeared on old Yamada's face, but he quickly restored his relaxed expression.
"Demonic boy," Ashura muttered in a low voice.
