The Titanic Rage Law was separated into thirteen stages. Jody aimed to break through into the first stage, the Wimpy Man Stage, and inherit a weapon class. Once this happened, he would officially become a Titanic Warrior and seeker of twilight's truth, like the Titan of old! Though the name of this stage was rather unflattering, Jupiter seemed to believe it was the best foundation in history.
This was outside of the body-tempering methods of the Draco Volos race, which, in Jupiter's memory, was basically a race of divine dragons in humanoid form. Twilight's power also blessed them as they lived in the God Domain. Only the most powerful of the world's essential characters could speak of them out loud. Why would anyone disgrace the gods by comparing themselves to such a race? They were an enigma.
Osiris Trillwolf had told Jody about this continent's Sage magicians and warrior Saints. Still, Jody strongly believed these Sages and Saints would pale compared to the ancient Titan race. This was a civilization of colossal powerhouses capable of collapsing stars and annihilating entire races! The only ones who could hope to stop this dangerous race were other races that used twilight power, such as the legendary Draco Volos. No one else stood a chance against the sky slaughterers.
Their path was the path to immortal slaughter!
Everlasting rage!
Mountainous physiques!
Profound armament production!
The way of supreme might!
They even dared to slaughter the heavens!
The aspect of immortality made Jody obsessed with practicing this Titanic Rage law.
With a Supreme Titan's level of strength, lifespan, and ability, he could confidently search for Sansa and Lulu's whereabouts in the future. If there was such a thing as reincarnation, he didn't believe there was no way to see the two of them again! Young and motivated as Jody may be, he was confident that humans couldn't easily possess such prowess. Luckily, he was blessed by the twilight thanks to his titanic master. The memories of the T'Zhanè were mainly centered around his life of cultivation and battles, but his first 100 years of experience were different.
After awakening Mind's Eye, it was as if Jody had personally lived those 100 years as the young Titan before he earned the title T'Zhanè. A title which Jody now understood meant 'To see through the heavens.'
Ancient Titan Clan members would only receive their titles upon reaching the Ancient Lord stage of the Titanic Rage. T'Zhanè's given name was Jupiter. At this moment, Jody decided to also provide himself with a title after breaking through to the Ancient Lord stage.
This could be considered his filial piety to his estranged master, Jupiter Titan.
All Jody knew for sure was that the Titan, in his youth, had extreme disdain for humanity. Of course, that is if you can consider someone older than a century as a youth. Nonetheless, they were like little ants in the face of Jupiter's supreme might! For this reason, Jody chose to focus on the Titanic Rage. After all, he was currently surrounded by these ants.
As a human surrounded by humans, becoming a Titan seemed the best way to travel unhindered throughout the world. It sounded even better the more Jody thought about it. Members of the sky slaughter race are weaker than humans when they're born. Wasn't this insulting?
They were born far weaker. These sky-slaughtering babies are born with brittle little bodies that can barely withstand a force as strong as sunlight, no physical strength, and no essence compatibility.
They possessed an abnormally powerful spirit, a high affinity to the truth of calamity and serenity, and a high level of sensitivity for twilight power. Thanks to Twilight Power, they could quickly compensate for their shortcomings through body transformation. By mastering the truth, one could manifest laws. The Titans grasped the Truths of Twilight and Rage, manifesting their own law system through collective effort. This body transformation law system focuses on opening the eight inner gates of truth and turning every gate into a Stargate by resonating with a twilight constellation in the heavens.
From the Wimpy Man Stage to the final stage, the Cosmic Supremacy Stage, the body undergoes earth-shattering changes. Despite this, Jody was nowhere near the level of Cosmic Supremacy, so he couldn't even fathom such strength. Jupiter's memories were only available until the young Titan broke through the sixth stage. Beyond that, Jody would have to discover what the view was like after growing more powerful.
The first stage of Titanic Rage was all about body refinement. To enter the first stage, one had to refine their skin with twilight power or astral light, making the body suitable to cultivate star powers. Ideally, the body should be tempered with both. Most sky-slaughterers struggled to refine some twilight into their physiques through extreme methods. The Titan Clan members didn't need to do this, as they had a natural affinity with astral light that was more powerful than the rest of their race. This was thanks to being born with twilight systems, the result of a wish their ancestor made to his twilight proxy.
A wish that cost his life in exchange.
Twilight followed the law of equivalent exchange. This was the reason twilight stars were required for wishes. Jody, on the other hand, was a human. His body was naturally associated with origin energy and pure essence, but not astral light. Because of this, Jody could only start by refining his skin like the low-talent individuals of the sky-slaughter race who existed outside of the leading clan.
Luckily, he had a twilight proxy. He couldn't actively access its assistance but didn't believe it would watch him die. Otherwise, why accompany him at all?
The moment the astral energy touched his skin, the two-year-old Jody felt on fire as he swallowed his painful wail before it could manifest. The pain was excruciating, and he felt as if he was being burned alive at 350 degrees Celsius, seconds away from becoming ashes scattered into the wind. Jody's face was twisted and grim as he focused on enduring the pain. His outer appearance quickly went from brown to purple, then deep red, with steam rising.
If his mother were to notice this, she would surely be terrified! Lucky for the oblivious Jody, his Twilight proxy released a soft seven-colored barrier that isolated the boy from prying eyes and ears.
Anyone who knew what Jody was doing would consider this baby suicidal. Jody's body looked swollen, as if he was about to explode like a balloon with too much air. All this from a thin fishing line of heavenly light! However, little Jody sat steady like a 10,000-year-old rock despite all this.
Although he had been too anxious, vastly overestimating his weak little body and the terrifying potency of astral light, he wasn't too shaken. In his past life, he had endured worse torture during missions.
Jody maintained his meditation posture, his face the epitome of stoicism. Suddenly, he heard the twilight proxy speak in that mysterious tongue.
"Using twenty stars to make body suitable for selected law practice. Mandatory."
As the twilight proxy spoke in that mysterious tongue, twilight sparkled into existence around Jody's body. Jody felt lucky as he finally had some level of reference to how valuable Twilight stars were. It took 20 stars to convert his body and make it suitable for the practice he inherited. This was only to prepare to break through the first stage! He would likely need more significant amounts of twilight sooner rather than later. His couple hundred stars no longer felt like they were enough. Very quickly, twenty minutes passed…
"Completed. 228 stars and 400 crystals remaining. Fifty stars are required to reinforce physique with twilight power. Optional."
[Yes/No?]
"What the… fifty?! That's pure robbery!" Jody couldn't help but be stunned when the seven-colored prompt appeared.
He never imagined this creature to be like the cashier of a fast-food restaurant, using every opportunity to up-sell. However, he would need to continue the process eventually to select a weapon class and use Twilight Mana. Plus, time had frozen again! The damn twilight was forcing him to decide now! He couldn't properly weigh the pros and cons of spending these points, as his foundation was at risk!
Jody confirmed mentally and then ignored the twilight imp as he focused all his being on repeating the mantra of the first stage of Titanic Rage.
"The night is long and dark. My heart is darker."
"The river endlessly drops, unaware of stopping."
"The light gives us life, and truth creates the heart."
"The Heaven's call to the sky was mercy's fault…"
Two hours later, Jody looked like a lump of coal in the middle of the bed. Every bit of his skin was blackened and burnt as he sat in the same position as if a painting unaffected by time. He continued to wash and refine his skin with the astral light, allowing the twilight power now in his flesh to rapidly heal him afterward.
After four more hours, Jody's spirit power was running out, and he started to feel faint. 'I got too excited and have overestimated myself.'
Unfortunately, this process could not be stopped once it started. Otherwise, the consequences would be disastrous. If Jody were to end before making progress, a backlash of astral force would likely destroy his little body. Not even the Twilight proxy could save him. This equaled death, as he was just too weak currently. Jody was still too young and far too fragile. There was no way he would survive through a rebound of sky force.
Just as he started worrying, Jody felt like something cracked in his mind. It was like a thin sheet of glass that separated him from the other side was shattered. He felt a weird fluctuation from what seemed like his soul before a cooling sensation ran across every inch of his skin, leaving him exhausted. Jody was familiar with this cooling sensation, as he had often felt it in his past life. Anytime he received a fatal injury but withstood the pain until this feeling came, he would suddenly begin to recover rapidly.
Sometimes, his recovery was visible to the naked eye.
His body would also end up becoming significantly tougher than before!
Suddenly, as if it was in tune with his thoughts, the pain gradually receded. In its place came a warm but comfortable sensation. Jody could vaguely detect that new energy was 'eating' the astral light and 'excreting' a softer, more subtle power.
After another hour, Jody's burnt skin started to fall off of him on its own. Underneath the falling crisps appeared smooth, shiny, and tender caramel chocolate skin. His revealed skin looked angelic and soft. To Jody, it felt like resilient and supple, just like rubber.
Jody was slightly caught off guard. He instantly opened his mind's eye and cast his senses inward to check the condition of his body. Due to low-level Spiritual Force, the keen ability of his mind's eye could not expand more than a few inches outside the body. However, seeing the condition within was easy enough.
Of course, what Jody didn't know was that this, too, was abnormal. He just wanted to try this new introspection. And when he did so, what he saw stunned him.
