Jayden noticed the look on Ember's face. The way she sounded as she asked him that question. She's not intrigued. She's more doubtful. It was like she was assuming the worst things about him.
And I didn't know what she was like to me! Have I done her wrong? Or she's just too carried away by my playboy reputation that she's always judging me? Jayden thinks.
"Where and how did you get that guitar?" Ember repeated her question for it seems to her that Jayden doesn't want to answer her.
"Uh..well," Jayden scratches his forehead.
"That's what remains in Ember's stuff when I go back to the farm the next days, to search for her, " Jayden replied.
He went back to the farm! When? Did he go back with Livy? Was he there when Mater Cora was attacked? Was he with them?
