On a busy street where people walked to and fro endlessly, a spatial passage was torn open.
Five people and a beast flew out with moody expressions. They seemed to not care about the people who walked past them.
Among all of them, Olina spoke first: "The secret realm expedition begins in a few hours"
Her voice was a bit shaky.
"Yes and we are a member short" Kalani said.
"Lu Zheng, you are already at the first tier of Sky realm and to breakthrough to the second tier, you need high soul foundation. For this reason, I want you to have this" Olina said as she handed a small translucent pebble to Lu Zheng.
"A soul stone!" Ele exclaimed.
"Why!?" Launi asked.
"This… isn't this a bit too much?" Even Lu Zheng was surprised as he stared at the pebble.
Themur was the only one who seemed ignorant: "What's a soul stone?"
"Just like vital stones, soul stones contain energy which can be absorbed but rather than Qi, soul stones contain soul energy" Kalani explained.
"They are even more precious than vital stones since they can only form in a place where thousands of Sky realm martial practitioners have perished" Ele continued for Kalani.
"Olina! What is the meaning of this!?" Launi asked.
"We just lost Alaka'i and we need someone else to replace him. It is impossible for another Void Passage realm expert to join us from Blazing Flame Palace and we can't afford to miss out on the expedition. Lu Zheng is the only possible replacement for Alaka'i at the moment and it would best if his battle strength was as high as possible" Olina explained unhurriedly.
Olina's words were very reasonable and she had high charisma, Ele and the others were led by her reasoning.
"I beg to differ" Launi sneered coldly.
"Following us would only be leading him to his death"
"Yeah, I agree with Launi on this one" Ele said.
"We just need him to join us to complete our numbers. He can avoid other martial practitioners at all cost" Olina said.
"But… what if he can't even survive an attack from a Void Passage realm expert? His talent would just be wasted" Kalani added.
"What makes you think I can't survive an attack from a Void Passage realm expert?" Lu Zheng finally spoke.
"Why don't we test it then?" Launi asked with a cold smile.
"What do you mean?" Ele asked.
"It's simple. If he can survive a single attack from me, then he can join us. If he can't, well…" Launi explained.
"But…" Olina said halfway.
"It's okay" Lu Zheng interjected. "Surviving a single attack from him isn't too much"
"We'll see" Launi smiled as killing intent surged from him.
Olina wanted to argue but she noticed that nobody could stop the two men now. Even Themur had kept quiet.
Leaving the busy road, the group of six walked to an empty field.
Launi and Lu Zheng stood twenty metres away from each other.
Laughing maniacally, Launi said: "Dear Lu Zheng, have you written your will?"
"You can't kill me with one attack" Lu Zheng said coolly as he pocketed his hands.
"Tch!" Launi's aura exploded as he punched the empty space before him.
A gigantic golden fist bore down upon Lu Zheng as an immense aura gushed out from within it.
Despite this, Lu Zheng remained as still as ever.
Just when the fist had almost crashed onto him, Lu Zheng willed out the Vermillion Sacred Prism from his spatial ring which absorbed the entire fist like it was nothing.
Before anyone could react, a golden fist twice the size of Launi's own flew out and struck the ground where Launi stood.
"Boom!"
An immense explosion occurred abruptly.
Although Launi managed to avoid the fist, he was engulfed by the explosion.
When the debris cleared, Ele ran to Launi's side and began to use her Qi to heal him.
The shock on everyone's face was astounding.
Lu Zheng still stood calmly like nothing interesting had happened as he asked: "Dear Launi, have you written your will?"
