"Ha? You have a defensive artifact?!" Olina was shocked.
She was a Void Passage realm expert and had exceptional eyesight. She had seen all that had happened just now.
Launi's attack was just about to hit Lu Zheng when the latter revealed the artifact.
In an instant, the artifact had consumed the attack and sent it back to Launi with twice the strength.
Launi had almost died from Lu Zheng's counter.
"What grade is your artifact?" Kalani asked.
He had seen the artifact too but for some reason, he was unable to determine the grade of the artifact.
All he knew was that the artifact was surely high grade.
Lu Zheng offered a smile but did not respond. He calmly switched his gaze to Olina.
"It's great that you have a strong defensive artifact. That should offer you enough protection within the secret realm" Olina smiled. "You should use the soul stone now"
"Hmm" Lu Zheng nodded as he sat down with his legs crossed and eyes closed.
Themur sat beside him and glared in Launi's direction.
He was glad with the way things turned out.
Olina gazed at Launi who was still lying unconsciously with mixed feelings.
Launi used to be a very intelligent person with amiable behaviours until Lu Zheng came around.
He just seemed to hate Lu Zheng with every shred of his being.
Lu Zheng had already put the matter behind him as he began to absorb the soul energy within the soul stone.
The soul stone was good nourishment for the soul. It was formed from the souls of thousands of Sky realm experts and contained dense soul energy.
It was naturally too much for him to consume at one.
Slowly, his soul foundation rose with every passing moment, exceeding the thousand man soul level Lu Zheng was aiming for.
When he eventually reached the two thousand man soul level, he had to stop.
Even so, the soul stone still contained at least a quarter of its initial soul energy.
Lu Zheng could barely contain himself as he controlled his soul power to form a translucent blade.
In one smooth motion, the translucent blade struck the Soul Lake's barrier, causing it to shatter at once.
The entire view of his Soul Lake entered Lu Zheng's vision as he stared at it.
It was more of a sea than a lake made entirely out of a calm liquid that had the surface of a mirror.
Lu Zheng knew this was the Sea of Consciousness.

The Soul Lake contained the Sea of Consciousness which Sky realm martial practitioners were unique for.
It was also their soul consciousness or their false soul.
Only when they formed a host soul could they reach the third tier of Sky realm and become true Sky realm experts.
Whilst still sitting cross-legged with his eyes closed, Lu Zheng conjured six fire balls which surrounded him, revolving around him in the same orbit.
Using his soul path abilities, Lu Zheng gathered some of his soul consciousness and split it into six portions.
He then infused those six portions into the six fire balls.
It was suddenly like he grew new parts of his body that he could easily control like his original body.
The six fire balls that were revolving around him suddenly changed directions and flew around at his will.
What was more, the fire balls that rolled on the open grass did not cause the grass to burn unless he willed it.
Lu Zheng was in full control.
"Wow" Themur couldn't help but marvel at the sight.
Cancelling out the fire balls, Lu Zheng used his lightning path abilities to create a humanoid figure made entirely out of white lightning.
Its physical structure was exactly like Lu Zheng's but it had no facial features.
Just like he had done with the fire balls, Lu Zheng added a portion of his soul consciousness to the humanoid figure.
Immediately, the humanoid figure began to walk around like it had a life of its own.
