Chapter 31 - Chapter 31: I Can Heal You

Hong Haoyu formed an ice wall that easily blocked the thorns. Snow began to fall before thickening into ice pellets and their momentum increased drastically.

Snow had transformed into hail!

The pellets struck Yue Bolin, turning into numerous holes but they were all healed at once.

Thick vines strong as metal ran at Hong Haoyu trying to squeeze him to death causing multiple parts of his body to be shredded away but they instantly regrew.

"I'll end this" Hong Haoyu snorted irritably.

Another ice sabre formed in his hand and he threw both ice sabres at Yue Bolin.

"As I'd let you" Yue Bolin snorted as the vines around him suddenly received consciousness as they attacked Hong Haoyu in a well-coordinated manner.

Yue Bolin was sharing his Soul Consciousness with them.

Hong Haoyu flew some metres backwards to dodge the attack before launching his own.

The fight between both men continued with neither of them relenting. Even though Yue Bolin's strength was at the very peak of the second tier of Domain Formation realm, he still couldn't beat Hong Haoyu who just brokethrough easily.

As time passed, the severity of Yue Bolin's attacks reduced gradually and Hong Haoyu soon got the upper hand.

"You're weakening" Hong Haoyu calmly stated. "Your berserk technique will soon end, am I right?"

Yue Bolin stared coldly at Hong Haoyu as he attacked. Hong Haoyu was right, his berserk technique had a certain time stipulation and when it was over, he would become extremely weak.

Normally, the time would have been enough to beat Hong Haoyu but he had already used it against Dun Yong. His time was almost up.

"Putchi"

A large icicle tens of metres tall rose from the ground, piercing Yue Bolin from beneath him to his skull and beyond. He was without a doubt dead.

The thick vines that were surrounding Hong Haoyu fell to the ground lifelessly and the lush green wood Qi that surrounded Yue Bolin began to dissipate.

"Huff, huff" Hong Haoyu let out breaths of cold air and relaxed his muscles as his translucent muscles began to quiver.

Crack~!

Hong Haoyu's meridians cracked and the ice Qi around him began to fluctuate uncontrollably.

With great speed, he flew towards the rest of the group at the shoreline.

"Their battle should be over by now" Lu Zheng muttered. "The question now is, who won?"

"Why haven't you guys gone yet?" Hong Haoyu asked.

"We were waiting for you" Shu Mingling said with a gloomy expression. Many of his clansmen had died during the explosions in the forest.

Only Shu Teng and Shu Jun were still alive.

"I went overboard then. I… I don't think I'll make it" Hong Haoyu's tone was very sad. "My meridians will soon implode. You guys should go ahead"

Shu Mingling heard him and wanted to say something but eventually, he closed his mouth.

"I can help" Lu Zheng said.

"What do you mean?" Hong Haoyu asked.

"I can heal you" Lu Zheng said again.

"Don't kid around. Can you really save me?" Hong Haoyu asked as his frosty eyes glistened.

"I said I can because I can" Lu Zheng said feigning annoyance.

"If you can heal me, I will treat you as a brother for life" Hong Haoyu swore.

"Then get ready to get a new brother" Lu Zheng smiled. "Stretch forth your hand"

Doing as Lu Zheng commanded, Hong Haoyu stretched his hand towards the latter. As Lu Zheng was about to hold his hand, Hong Haoyu instinctively flinched.

A flash of fear shimmered through him as he stared at Lu Zheng. For a moment, he stopped seeing Lu Zheng and in his place was a mighty bird covered in regal flames.

"Don't worry, your Supreme Ice Physique is finding the yang nature of my body repulsive. It's only natural, try to control yourself" Lu Zheng said as he controlled his bloodline to reduce its intensity.

Lu Zheng held Hong Haoyu's hand and closed his eyes. In his blood vessels, his blood flowed on but a few drops seemed different.

They were a vermillion red with extremely hot presence. They were drops of Vermillion Blood.

Everyone stared at Lu Zheng wondering what he was doing.
