The Monster That Dominates
"Please do not attack me! I'm an ally, an ally!" I beg for my life as the boss in the 96th floor is running at me rageous with an intent cutting my long body into half. Fuck.
'How did it turn out like this?!' On the 97th floor earlier, I was so full of energy defeating this goddamn beast. But now... I take it back. That won't happen! It is not possible! Because the boss here on the 96th floor is a freaking Minotaur! I repeat. A minotaur with four arms that is expert in using axes and a samurai's.
When I entered the boss dome, I thought I could clear this floor without any sweat since the mobs guarding the entrance was really just a piece of cake to defeat.
But when our fight start (He speaks for the Boss Minotaur) an hours ago, my hope died as all of my basic attacks wont work on his obsidian-like body that is hard as freak- that even my skill: [Thread spike] that work on the 98th [Mother of Arachne] and 97th [Red King Ogre] won't even leave a scratch on him!
So now... the table changes very rapidly. I am not the monster that hunts. I am now being hunted by my prey and being the food for his dinner!
'Shit! I can't accept this! Huhu!'
"Grawwrr!!" The Minatour outcry in rage as he can't land a hit on me although he is already using his four arms to attack. He makes his attack more fast and synchronized as he also increases his agility to make par with my runnings.
I smirk in pain as I intently stare at the red eyes of this minotaur that is already beside me.
"You really want to end me, huh?" I comment, even though I don't know if he can understand me. Though— when he growls out and gets more enraged. There I conclude that this minotaur can understand my taunts.
He instantly attacked me using his ax with the pure intention of making me a half-lengthwise caterpillar. Though, I am able to dodge it as I also jump instantly to the mid-air as I activate one of my unique skills: [Gravity Manipulation]. One of the favorite skills of Chronas that she always uses to dodge my skills during our sparring matches. This is my first time using it...
I made a distance to the Minotaur in the air before pick on him more, "Oy, you almost got me there, ha? Nice try. But sorry to say you need more practice in running fastly because I am so expert at it," I said before releasing an irritating laughter that filled the boss dome.
The Minotaur stops chasing me and looks up at me. I don't know how many minutes he stays silent and like that- but as my instinct tells me to be on guard. I activate my other unique skill: [Future Sight].
Nevertheless— as soon as I activate the [Future sight] which allows me to see the future attacks of my opponent. The Minatour instantly went gone to its place and as soon as realized where the hell that monster is- it is already too late for me to notice his incoming attack as his shadow envelops my being. And as I look up above me, there he is already— ready to kill me with his two samurai.
I click my tongue in annoyance. 'Shit, how the hell this big damn bro can move like that?! Not good! I must use a barrier!'
"Barrier!" I shout and in an instant, a violet barrier embraces me, withstanding the strength and pressure of the samurai of this Minotaur that almost got me.
"Grawwrl!" The Minatour growls inrage and he uses his other two free hands that hold axes to add more brute strength to break my barrier.
"Grawll!" He howled again and added more pressure to his attack. Making the magic circle that keeps me on the air break. And as soon as it breaks. I fly with a high speed back to the ground with so much impact that it leaves a smoke screen aftermath.
I threw so much blood as my body landed heavily to the ground.
'F-Fuck...!'
[Alert! The host receives a fatal blow. Large amount of his health decreases. Executing the ability: [Self Regeneration]. Kai!]
"Grawrr!!" The Minatour outcry victoriously as he landed two feet in the ground.
I stand on my own before the smoke screen that helps me to his sight vanish. "That was quite a surprise attack, huh? Who can tell that a big beast like you can move like that?" I made an annoying face as I stared at the Minotaur that grew in silence as it saw me standing well with my many feets after receiving a fatal blow that maybe other beings won't survive if they receive that kind of attack.
'Well, sorry for this Minotaur but I am different and exceptional than any other...'
'System, analyze thoroughly this son of a bitch body. Find his weakness. Haste!'
[Alert! Performing thorough analysis to the opponent of the Host. Please wait for a moment. Kai!]
I laughed again as I read why this Minatour grew in silence as the minutes stopped by.
"Ho... ho... hoho," I made a disgusting face to him that I am so sure his short temper will not stand, "Do you already questioning yourself why I am still standing in front of you after I receive that attack? Why? Is that all of you got? Is that your trump card already?" I mocked. And as soon as it went to his ears, the Minatour growled furiously again and charged at me.
He closes our distance by using the same ability that he used to disappear in my watch and to give me a surprise attack earlier.
"Grawwrr!" And as soon as he was in my face and very ready to behead me, he vanished again.
I made a deep sigh first before bowing my head with disappointment, and also, the time in the boss dome get slower and slower until it stop as I also casted one of my unique skill: [Time Intervention]
"I see that already," I coldly said before looking to the back of me where the Minatour is, and where his ax is already in the tip of my neck. Ready to take it out in my body.
"Sit," As soon as I make a command. The time flows normal again and the minotaur that is in the mid-air, makes a shocking face as it sees me facing him.
Though, he is so mesmerized by how I see his attack that he didn't notice that his body is already being squashed on the ground as I activate my unique skill: [Gravity Manipulation] on him.
I look down to the Minatour with full of belittlement in my eyes, "Now, how should I kill you with my heart content?"
"Growwrrr!!" He growls in pain and tries to escape my gravity manipulation, but after trying to go into a tantrum and making a havoc and still to no avail of escape. The minotaur stops and glares at me.
I arrogantly smirked, "Hey, that's not the look that you will do to the holder of your life," I taunt him again. Though, the Minatour doesn't growl or howl anymore in response.
And as I see through his eyes, he already knows his faith in my hands. I heaved a deep sigh before moving my head.
"System, got any update there? How can I finish this monster?"
[Alert! Analyzing the body of the Chieftain Minatour completed. The host can use his ability: [Death Ray] to finish the Minatour. Kai!]
"I see, thank you System," I take out a deep breath after knowing that the skill that I copied to the Mother of Arachne is doable against this Minotaur thick and tough body.
"Any farewell, Chieftain?" I tease him again, before opening my mouth widely as I cast my skill: [Death Ray].
The Chieftain Minatour didn't say anything again and just closed his eyes. And there, when Chieftain Minatour accepted his death. I tried to feel my own feelings if I felt any pity or mercy in the situation- but as the minutes passed. I realized already, I don't have any build feelings on killing someone nor what will happen next to this Minatour.
Maybe because in my mind and soul as a monster, it is already implied that there are only two options for us: and it is either you will keep on winning and keep continuing to the top of the food chain or to die and be in the food chain of another stronger monster.
'Yeah, it's the sad reality that I have now...'
As realization drops in my head. I already casted the [Death Ray] directly to the head of Minatour.
[Alert! The host successfully cleared the 96th floor. Kai!]
[Alert! The host achieves another milestone that no other beings have done. Another title will be bestowed. Kai!]
[Alert! The title: [Minotaur Slayer] will be added to the hall of title of host. Please wait for a moment. Kai!]
[Alert! Due to the effect of the title: [Minotaur Slayer] the host will be given another one-thousand points to his agility. Implementing the buff. Kai!]
"System, I want to use [Devour] on the corpse of The Chieftain Minotaur to steal and copy his skill," I disregard the rewards that I get after clearing this floor and just focus more on my main goal which is to have the skill of the boss in my disposal.
The system automatically filled again the corpse of the Chieftain Minatour with that familiar black mist. And when it's already gone, the system does its job to analyze it for me.
[Alert! Analyzing the Chieftain Minatour body completed. The system also successfully copied two of the boss skills: [Shunpo] and [Obsidian skin]. Adding the new abilities. Kai!]
"Yes! Another stealing complete!" I jump around as my second plan to steal the boss skills is currently on-going and seamlessly doing good.
"Ok! Let's clear all the floors left System! More to go!"
