Chapter 16
The Showdown: The Thunder God Dragon Vs. Caterpillar (1)
As the cold chills of the liar of Zeus, The Thunder God Dragon, welcomed me when I finally set my foot on it. An overwhelming aura from someone activates my six senses.
I stepped back as my monster instinct told me to retreat. This is the second time already that I feel so intimidated and threatened by someone else's aura. My first time is my first engagement with Chronas on the 99th floor. And this time... this.
And I know already the moment that overwhelmingly directly pointed at me that I awakened the said being who can deteriorate the existence of any beings here in Livettia with his will. And it is no other than, the Thunder God Dragon itself, a God who chose to be transcended in this world to meddle and make chaos: Zeus.
"It's been a very long time since I had a visitor, wasn't it?" When the dark-blue dragon killed the defining silence with his deep voice that looked like it had been caught to hell because of its debt. I tried my best to examine the whole thing in my front using only my naked eyes.
A broad wing that can bring terror to the skies once extended and a massive body that can be considered to be as large as the largest ship on earth. Plus, the dragon scales that are sharp as steel and hard as obsidian in-a-first glance. And his golden-predatorial eyes that are looking down at me full of belittlement. I am not really dreaming right now.
What is in front of me is the true master of this dungeon: Zeus, The Thunder God Dragon.
"What's bringing a little monster like you here, little follow? Are you lost?" He ask with the hidden intention of mockering me. I kill all the nervousness I am feeling in my system and try my best to talk back to him so he can see me as someone his equal and especially an opponent who is here with an obvious intention which is to make his head a trophy in my ceiling in my future mansion.
"I am here to kill you, Zeus." I spoke. Naked-truth and feeling presented. While also thinking at the back of my head that I really say that while I am into this fragile, long, and sluggish body?! Really?!
'If I said those to earth, maybe I would already be considered a clown. Tss. Why do I have to be reincarnated on this body again in the first place?
Zeus didn't flinch, or shock, or even do a reply after I said my intention here in his liar that it really looks like a prison in the medieval era who doesn't have anything to offer other than it is really spacious that I can compared to it to a combined three-floors of this dungeon.
It is also just a large stone-cave binded by a strong-magic sealed in the outer and inner part. And other than the Thunder God Dragon and some magic-crystals that I think sprouted over the time. There is nothing already to see- though, I don't particularly can check but on the back of Zeus. There is his nest, and in his nest that is made from his own dragon scales and magic-crystals.... Am I seeing a crystal-blue like egg? I don't know. Might check it later.
Zeus threw a laugh after a moment of only staring at me. Then, when he is satisfied filling up this almost-empty den of his, he backs his gaze at me and looks at me again with belittlement and disgust using his golden-predatorial eyes.
"I commend your courage, small one, you're the first being who came down here, surviving all my strongest minion monsters, to make me laugh," Then he threw a laugh again that was soon to be painted by a dark humor laughter. He stared back at me and released an omnipotent aura directly at me that made all my bones, if I have a bone in this body, chills.
'Fuck, what do I'm thinking in the time like this?! Really Raylight? Focus!'
"Because you? Will defeat... me? Don't make a statement like that. A vermin that is in the lowest of the food chain like you can't even go near me. So know your place, before I lost it," He made a remarked. And gaze me with that golden-eyes of his that can make anyone knees tremble.
Good thing though, I don't have a knee. That's why I didn't get scared.
No. That was a joke. I am really scared right now just staring at him and being in his presence. But what keeps me here from running away is my promise to my first friend that I will punish this guy no matter how much is the cause.
'System, can you analyze my probability of winning against this monster?' I ask my best companion in my head for an opinion.
[Alert! Analyzing the enemy of the Host. Please wait for a moment. Kai!]
[Alert! Analyzing completed. Kai!]
[Alert! By all the data the system gathered from the enemy of the host and compared it to the own stats and magic-power of the host. The system concludes that there is a 53% chance that the host can win against the [Thunder God Dragon] Zeus. Kai!]
I get shocked by the data the system give. Not because I think the probability of winning is low. It is otherwise, because I find the 53% winning rate too high!
Not being humble or anything. But what I am expecting since the system in my head is so truth-to-be told and she can qualified for a exsiting code the what-you-see-is-what-fucking-get qoute. She will give me a 000.1 probability of winning. Because after all, my power level is not yet really comparable against to a real God though.
And I already said that! My opponent is a God-like creature who owns the title, The Thunder God Dragon! So no. I can't relax. I need to double check if my system has some bug or virus or something!
'System, can you please tell me why my winning rate is too high against this guy?'
[Alert! Extracting the basis of the system from its conclusion. Please wait a moment. Kai!]
[Alert! Extracting the basis is complete. Thoroughly information will be delivered to the host. Kai!]
[Alert! The reason why the host is have 53% probability chance of winning against, The Thunder God Dragon, is due because the Thunder God Dragon, Zeus, is not anymore on its prime-state. The system detect after scanning the Thunder God Dragon that its power is declining due of being sealed for more than hundred-years. That's why the Thunder God Dragon is only as its 35% of its prime right now. That's why the host is have 53% chance of winning. Hence fort, the other factor why, Zeus, The Thunder God Dragon is not on its prime stage is because-]
'Ok, ok system. Stop dumping so much information in my head. Or else my head will explode. Thanks for that though.'
[Alert! Accepting the wish of the host. Kai!]
So that is the reason, huh? But still, to think that this guy in my front is on its weakest state already and I just have 53% of winning even though I am already at my peak. Fuck... so that's how monster he is, huh?
I smirk at my own weakness. Nonetheless, it is still 53% of winning. So I might take it as a compliment in my growth because comparing my own power against this guy is really impossible. Plus, I can just make the half of missing numericals possible. Since that's always the thing that I do. Since I came here. I always did my best and put my butt on my fire so I can make the impossible possible.
To bear Chronas' hell-pit training, from conquering floors, and fighting strong monsters alone. I always did it using my own ass and determination even though there is a big chance that I can fuck up and die. So there is no real reason why I should get back down from a fight to a being who is already in the dying phase.
My smirk grew even more. I gaze up at the Thunder God Dragon in my face. And make a taunt statement.
"You have all the talk because you are that big? How stupid. Maybe that thinking put you here, huh?" I smirk at him with a temp to provoke him.
And it was a success though because his face instantly went dark.
"You vermin... So you really chose death even though I am kind enough to not kill you even though I can take your life anytime I want?!"
I am now the one who throws a laugh, "Ow, sorry your grace. But sad to say that I don't fucking need any kindness from a bastard like you."
"You-"
"What? Still want to say something? Can you just shut up? And just prove your point in combat?" I cut him off. That makes his face darker.
He didn't speak after that. But what he does is he opens up his mouth and accumulates magic power in the space to cast something.
"You vermin! You will pay the price of degrading a God like me! Take this!" When he accumulated enough power. A large beam made of dark-blue thunder released upon his mouth at me who is not yet prepared for anything.
"[Thunder God Magic: Thunder God Roar!]"
Shit! I can't dodge it!
