*creak* With the creaking sound, the grand old wooden door opens. after that, the secretary announces our presence.
"Mr. Brook and Mr. Licht, have come."
After announcing our arrival, we went into the meeting hall. inside, there is my uncle, Mr. Alex, Lina, a young spearmen named Jackie, a man who wields a long sword named Mr. Jacob, and a woman mage named Roxy. My uncle sat at the far end corner of the table, while at the opposite end of it was an old guy with a long beard who looked like he was the Estearn Coalition representative.
I then sat on the left side of Lina which was still empty, and across from me was Brook.
"Why You Late?... Don't tell me you truly did it?!?!
Lina asks while trying his best not to be noisy. I answer in a somewhat hushed voice.
"I don't have much money to drink in the bar, and if I have that much money. I would rather save it and send it to my parent."
"For now I will trust you... how can you be late?"
"Huh... Looks like you don't trust Me...huh... well then... The reason I was late was because Brook tried to have a chit-chat, with everyone that we met."
After hearing my reason, she suddenly gave an understanding expression.
"Looks like you have a hard time."
"If you know that please don't ask any more questions."
I then look at Brook, who is still talking with Jackie. Then if it was trying to start the meeting, my uncle cleared his throat to grab our attention. then start talking to the Estearn Coalition representative.
"Mr. Burno, I believe you requested to protect a caravan of merchants from the eastern, am I right?"
"Yes, you are right. I want to request your Guild to become Guard for our caravan."
"May I ask something important?"
"No Problem, Guild Master Alex."
"Are there any kind of special item in your caravan?"
hearing this question all the other members who joined in the meeting started to look at Mr. Burno. After all if, for example, the items could bring unnecessary conflict to us it would trouble some. knowing what kind of item they bring is necessary for us. Knowing such a thing Mr. Bruno took a deep breath and looked at my uncle seriously. looks like after all this will not be a normal Guarding mission.
"there was an item that we found in the ruin of Dark Age Civilization."
Hearing this everyone was shocked. after all, Dark Age Civilization refers to the era where any kind of writing about that era could not be found. the era could be categorized into several eras, like the First Founding of the Great Empire, the Great Discovery Era, The Magic Kingdom Era, and lastly The Dark Age Era. All these eras were discovered and given names by all Pioneer Type adventurers, where this type of adventurers tried to find and discover new things.
Thanks to how very rarely discover any remnants of the Dark Age Era, any kind of artifact from that era could be called an expensive item. not only for their rareness but what made them expensive was their use. For example, thanks to a certain Pioneer finding an artifact inside a ruin of the Dark Age Era. it brings new technological advancement, in this case, the born of an item that could be used as some sort of a long-distance communication device. because of that, any kind of remnants from that era could become a very valuable commodity, for any kind of kingdom, empire, research, etc. Because of that, it could become an unnecessary problem.
my uncle looked at Mr. Bruno with a problematic expression. this request looks like will be given to other guilds, but before that, Mr. Bruno open his mouth.
"I Understand your problem, this item I still doesn't appraise. and not only that but the information regarding it, not many knows. only the higher-ups that know it."
"But, still..."
I understand why my uncle showcased such an expression, after all this deal is something that we should miss. if the word of this person could be trusted the information this item only little people know about it. and if so, this means the person in front of us should have such a high background in the company to be trusted with such information. those make this deal to be much more advantageous on our side, meaning the Eastern Coalition trusts that much in us and ready to pay handsomely for this request.
but at the same time, it was risque there is a certain percentage that someone from inside, inside the companies and guild, to betray us. like sharing the information, and attacking us. knowing this my uncle started to think deeply about whether to take this mission.
suddenly Lina raised her hand, seeing this my uncle looked at Lina and gave her permission to talk.
"I know, that I am still a newbie... but I want to give an idea for this mission. do you mind hearing my suggestion?"
"well I don't mind, please share your idea, Ms. Lina."
"If you don't mind, why not use a decoy caravan that went to eastern Frederica using the normal route? while the real caravan took the route that borderline with the southern grassland."

after hearing this my uncle and the other participant showed an understanding expression, but still, my uncle had a hard time choosing. those while the iron was still hot, I chose to attack it. I then raised my hand, and seeing this my uncle gave the permission.
"If you may, I want to suggest something to Mr. Bruno?"
"I think I don't have any kind of problem with it. how about Mr. Bruno?"
"Well, I don't mind, as long as it could help to today's meeting."
"Thanks, Mr. Bruno, I like to suggest that if we deal with this problem. I want to ask the Eastern Coalition to give us, a hunting ground."
hearing my suggestion, everyone has a hard expression. except Lina, Me, And Mr. Bruno. After all, asking for Hunting Ground was impossible, if you didn't have much money to buy it. My uncle tried to apologize for my rudeness, but Mr. Bruno held it and said-
"yes, our companies will pay that much. we will give one Rock Wolf Hunting Ground."
Hearing this I look at Lina happily, because we get a beautiful deal. that means the Eastern Coalition would give that many, even though they know our guild condition, those showcasing their willingness to trust us. these open the possibility for future agreement with the Eastern Coalition.
Hearing this my Uncle was very happy, and want to talk more about the request. while asking the other to take a rest for this special mission.
walking outside the door I smile happily at Lina, for giving me such opportunities. Brook who sees this tries to mock me. but before he could say anything, Lina suddenly took my arms and led me to run in the corridor.
I tried to stop her, but I stopped before doing it. after all, I want to save these beautiful memories in my mind. I then join her running, while laughing happily for this opportunity.
