Chapter 30 - chapter 29 first mission part 6

after several days of journey, we will approximately reach in the evening. during such a journey, we visited many towns to rest and resupplied our ration. during such thinking, without noticing it we have crossed the border between the middle region and the eastern region. 'we could see the Jin Xianglo for several hours from now on.' I then looked outside, and I could see that the sun rising in the sky now went west for its dawn.

but suddenly our carriage was shaken heavily. our body was jumping up and down. "Ouch!!!", Brook who was sleeping hit his head on the ceiling of the carriage. 'Looks like the path was broken.' Lina and I looked outside, and our prediction was right. the path was broken and from the looks of it, it was from battle. 'Are the barbarians from the southern or monster wave from the northern trying to attack Jin Xianglo?' after all Jin Xianglo City was supposed to be the eastern gate, where people from other regions would likely visit Jin Xianglo city for trading, resting for journey, or tourism. This makes Jin Xianglo city some sort of gate, for the Easternist culture or items to exchange with the other region's culture or items like the city was the heart of the Spice Route from the eastern territory.

it was very understandable if the facility from road to accommodation to be high tier, for those who visit the city. but, from how broken the road is it could imply that there is some sort of problem. after coming to such a conclusion, me and Lina put our bodies back in our seating positions. after several minutes of such a painful ride, we reached what was supposed to be some sort of outskirts city. From our position me and Lina could see, several soldiers trying to give food to people who wore what were supposed to be beautiful silky suits. From the looks of it, it was some sort of reach-outskirt city that was prosperous. but, how such a prosperous city became so wreckage. I could only conclude, that the attack was so massive. because, of how a prosperous city could pay some sort of mercenary to protect itself, or at least not let the assailants go into the city itself. not only that, but it looks like the war happened several days ago.

we then kept moving to Jin Xianglo city without stopping, because we had a request to deal with this evening. Lina tried to get up from her position but then sat again because she saw a child begging for more food because of her younger sister in his arms. 'Lina may be trying to help them, but remember that we couldn't delay much more time.' I then hold her hand, while looking to the front of me. and said-

"Lina, you have done what is necessary. after all, you have the will to help them and tried to help them... but you put that aside remembering that your duty to fulfill with... what, I could say is. you have done enough."

hearing this Lina put more force into her hand than grabbing, 'It Hurts... A lot.' seeing this brook smiled happily, and said-

"Little Girl, what Lict said was correct. you have done enough... after all 'this is this, while that is that'... we too have our problem... but little girl, please remember the hand that you grabbing. kuhuhuhuhu."

'you bastard... if you know it why not help me from the beginning when you open your mouth."

hearing Brook say that, Lina then looked at my hand. what she sees is a red hand because of her grabbing force. she then tried to apologize to me, but I tried to hold back my tears and said that it was no problem. then she went to silence of out embarrassment, and we all followed to went to silence. we liked that till our carriage went to Jin Xianglo City.

after a long inspection from the city guard, our caravan could go into the city. we then separated into several groups of people, some went to the city for tourism, some went to the accommodation for rest, and others went to the city council hall. I joined the group that went to the council hall, to meet our client The City Representative. The group member was none other than My Uncle, Alex, Lina, Kaid, and finally me.

we took a special carriage that was prepared by the City Hall. during our ride, I could feel the atmosphere surrounding the city was bleak. from the gist of it, the impact of the 'Attack' has reached this city. many shops were closed because they lacked something to sell, and many doors and windows were closed because the citizens were scared. these gave me some sort of speculation that the war was large and impacted many surrounding cities. after several minutes of raiding the carriage, we reach the city hall. when we went off from the carriage, there was a ponytail style black-haired, closed-eyed, and a skin that was like porcelain young man that had waited for us. seeing this my uncle opened his mouth-

"Thank you for waiting for us, Mr. Xiao Jun."

"No Problem, no problem. I not waiting for that long time."

It was the representative of the Jin Xianglo City, Xiao Jun.
