Turning the sword over in her hands, she inspected every inch, searching for anything that might stand out.
"It looks like there's a small indentation near the hilt," she pointed out, her gaze sharp.
"Let's not waste time. If there's a jewel, it's worth a look," Violet said, brushing back her hair as her face lit up with anticipation. Aeron nodded, glancing around as if ensuring no one else was watching.
"Okay, what do we do?" he asked, leaning forward. Starfania took a deep breath. "I think we just… push it. What's the worst that could happen?"
With that, she pressed the indentation gently. A soft click resonated in the silence, and a warm light pulsed from the blade. They all took a step back, eyes wide with shock and wonder. The markings on the sword began to shimmer, illuminating the surrounding area, casting strange shadows on the ground. The air grew thick with an electric energy, as if the whole world was holding its breath, waiting for what would come next. As the blade began to shrink, folding and compacting until it fit neatly into the size of a pen. Its gleaming surface and intricate design remained untouched, but its transformation left them speechless.
Violet was the first to break the silence. " Did… did it just turn into a pen? "
Aeron gently grabbed it from Starfania, hands shining it in the light, inspecting it from all angles. Then he said with a grin, " Well, I guess that solves our problems. "
Starfania couldn't help but smile as she carefully tucked the pen-sized weapon into her pockets. As she looked at them again and said, " I have a feeling this is gonna change everything. "
The three of them stood there, still processing what we had just witnessed. Whatever mysteries awaited them, they knew they were gonna have to adapt for the journey ahead.
They understood that this sword would change their lives as they made a promise to handle it with care. Stifling a yawn, Starfania said, " I'm heading home. I just need to lie down and process everything that just happened."
Starfania left the cave as Aeron and Violet bid her farewell, promising to meet her again tomorrow. She simply smiled and waved, as she grabbed the sword-pen from her pocket and was inspecting it. Making her way back to the kingdom, however, uncertainty loomed over her. So she placed it back in her pockets when she caught sight of the towering castle in the distance.
