Suddenly, the scene snapped out of focus, and Starfania found herself grasping for breath in a dark void. As a light emerged, taking the figure of a woman, her presence commanding. She moved with an elegance that was both comforting and unsettling; her features obscured by the bright light surrounding her in this dark place.
" Ah, you fell for it, " the woman said, her voice smoothing yet serious. " There's no reason to be alarmed. This was all in your head. "
Starfania stared at her, her chest heaving as she tried to comprehend her words.
" Who are you? " she said, though her voice wavered. " What is this? "
The woman chuckled softly, her tone carrying an air of mystery.
" I wanted to put your focus on the test, " she said. " It's so easy to become distracted and miss what's really there. So keep your wits about you, Dragon Savior. You'll need them. "
Starfania simply blinked, and she was gone, as though she had never been there at all. The dark void that surrounded her faded, and she was back in the throne room, standing before her father. As she realized she was back to where she was originally before, that whole thing. She quickly gathered her thoughts and gave a bow to Cesar, trying to focus on the reality in front of her.
" Ah, I'm glad you wanted to meet with me, " Starfania said, forcing her voice to sound calm and demanding despite her being in an inner turmoil battle.
" Indeed, " Cesar said, his tone steady and confident. " However, this matter is far too important for open ears. Let us move to a more private setting. "
Starfania nodded, swallowing her worried away.
" But of course, " she said, her voice trembling slightly. With that, they left the throne room, stepping outside to the castle grounds. Her stomach twisted with unease, knowing that whatever he was about to say would undoubtedly change everything.
