Adriana gaped at the girl's beauty as she made her way in, while their eyes met for a brief second before turning her gaze to the three who were too busy playing to notice her presence.
"Someone should give me clarity on why this girl is here" the girl said with a squinted eye before her eyes went back to look at Adriana who stared at her unblinkingly as if she had been asked for a staring contest.
"What took you so long Victoria" questioned the dark haired boy who finally tore his attention away from the game he was paying his eyes settling on her while the corner of his lips was slightly pulled to make it look as if he was smiling.
"I had to run an urgent work for the headmistress" replied Victoria in a not so loud tone.
Adriana finally looked away from Victoria who had walked in to join the three. She wondered why they all kept asking why Chris had brought her here. Was this supposed to be some kind of secret hideout? Adriana couldn't help but wonder as she found having such a really cool basement somewhere in the school to be illegal.
She saw them whisper something to her to have her nod head and Adriana couldn't help but wonder what they had told her.
She was already getting bored sitting there alone and while her eyes kept darting back and forth still taking a look at the room and after a few more minutes, a thought passed through her mind and she got up on her feet immediately.
She went over to the liquor counter picking out a choice of alcohol while she brought out two glass cups pouring the contents inside. The others did not take notice of this as they were too engrossed in what they were doing but they were soon snapped out of it when Adriana came to stand beside Victoria offering her one of the drinks in her hand to have the girl stare at her wondering what she was doing.
"Since when do PA's start having such freedom? How daunting" Adriana heard one of them comment but that didn't bother her as it wasn't Chris who had spoken to stop her.
She noticed the girl not making any attempt to take it, making her eyes narrow. She should better not think about rejecting it. She hardly gave people anything and here she was offering a drink to her. It was because she was bored and it seemed like she was the only girl around here. And besides she seemed like someone she could get along with.
Adriana said it as she had noticed her dressing style. The girl wore heels with a bluish gown that complicated her color and brown hair. She didn't seem like a boring type.
"Playing hard to get? I don't mind" Adriana said to have the girl tilt her head at her.
"If she won't take it, I will" it was the dark hairee boy who had been standing opposite her that said as he reached out his hand to take the drink from Adriana who In turn glared at him. Who said he could have it.
"Exquisite taste" he commented after taking a sip and the glare on Adriana's face only hardened. "Do we need to set some rules here lady?" Adriana heard Chris speak and she knew he would.
It wasn't like him to just stand still without chantasizing her and telling her what was her job and wasn't. "It was just a drink" Adriana shrugged before going back to sit down but she had already sparked a certain curiosity in the people's eyes that were there.
"Say, my name is Santiano and yours?" The dark haired boy now walked towards her while taking a seat beside where she sat with the drink he had earlier stolen from Adriana still in his hand. He ordered her a charming smile and Adriana would have melted right away with the smile he was flashing at her with his handsome face but she saw it as him trying to act coy.
"Don't answer him, he will only break your heart and shred it into tiny pieces" it was the girl Victoria who spoke as she had also walked to stand near the two.
"How come I don't hear you saying that when you scream my name in ded" the boy named Santiano said, licking his lips looking at Victoria who didn't seem flustered nor affected by his words as she only rolled her eyes.
Great! Now she knows who is sleeping with who. Thought Adriana in her mind. The two other boys had not bothered moving from their spots as they continued playing with each other but it wasn't like Adriana cared. At Least she won't be left to stare at the ceiling alone.
Victoria gently pushed Santiano to the side so she would sit close to Adriana who was resting her back on the couch seat.
The two splitted groups were soon to split up once Chris got called and he didn't need to tell the others on what to do while they got the message by just signaling with his eyes while Adriana was left clueless as she stood up ready to leave with Chris as he had told her they were leaving.
While on their way outside, Chris used the corner of his eyes to look at the girl who was walking beside him. He didn't even know why he had decided to make her stay as his PA when the girl had planned on quitting.
He could have easily allowed her as he had not wanted her hovering around him to find out what he was upto but he had acted on impulse that day and made her stay not giving her the option to quit.
He had wanted her to pay for his broken helmet as she had dared to damage something that belonged to him and even at that, she was planning to quit after collecting an advanced payment. It was one of the things that had pushed him into making it an obligation for the girl to work but thinking about it now, he would have to try keeping her away from his affairs without her suspecting anything. Something that could have been avoided in the first place.
They got out of the basement and while walking in one of the corridors, a boy, a senior, Adriana noticed this, ran towards them as his eyes seemed anxious.
Chris narrowed his eyes at the boy who's hands trembled. "Th...something has happened Chris…..at…at the….." the boy stuttered, finding it hard to find his words which only led to him receiving a glare from Chris.
"Speak up Davis and stop stuttering like a goat" Chris said in a serious voice to have the boy clear his throat as if to clear any blockage. "Students are in an uproar outside. I think a student did it" came the unproductive information from the boy named Davis.
Adriana's eyes narrowed wondering what he was talking about. What student did what? Questioned Adriana in her mind as she now found herself walking in the direction of where the two boys were headed as Davis was leading.
They had not even gotten to the scene of the crime before they started hearing chatters from students that had gathered into a crowd.
Some of the students were filming while some kept whispering to the person beside them.
They moved further to get a clearer view of what was happening and on arrival, they were met with the scene of having to see the death of a teacher hanging on one of the trees that were surrounding them and on her head was written: WATCH OUT.
